I dunno what it was, but I had invis vs. undead on and all of sudden, LOADING... some undead cast a DD spell on me. 300hp in one shot. Now I have to recover my corpse, and I'm in Lake Rathe. watch out.

Could have been a spectere those F***S see all types of invis and are lvl 35ish and they DO cast they're slow as hell though so if you've got a SoW and there is one on your tail you can get away unless it kills you with spells (i have never seen spectere pets) anyway just a thought

I was killed by an undead knight that spawned right on the path and i dont see one on the beastiary list above. It considered red to me at lvl 20 and before it attacked it casted a spell draining my life to 1 bubble.
I was running through Kith today on my way back from Highpass to buy metal. I'm almost at the WC zone when this dark elf NPC "Teir Dal Reaver" jumps me; he was punching for 55, 65, 90's, and I even saw a 142!! Didn't get a chance to /con him (we running to the zone), but he had come out of the WC zone area, so (hopefully) someone had zoned him. When I zoned into WC, with 1.5 bubbles left of health, I warned everyone, then asked if anyone had zoned him. No one replied.
As if Kithicor wasn't fun enough....

you should read older post befor asking questions, he is over 50 and he spawns after a druid gave in a coin for his epic weapon quest. Usually the druids run out with sow and their part of quest is done, the Reaver depops after a while.

Some days ago, I ran into the Teir'Dal Reaver for the epic druid quest and I all I can say is watch out! This guy double hit me for 185 and that very quick. Im just a monk my HP is low so I tried to run, well this sucker is almost as fast as SoW and backstabbed me for upper 250's. Finally I feigned death and after some minutes he despawned.

I ran through at night with my lvl 30 monk and a named Dark Elf NPC backstabbed me for 422 dmg before I could FD. his name isnt even on the monster list so I thought I would say somethin.

Tier'Dal Reaver only appears after a Druid or Ranger has given Giz X'tin the ring for the Druid Epic Quest... he will despawn after a bit.

What drops the Runbladed Sword of Night? I'm assuming it's one of the high level Dark Elves. Any information or advice on obtaining this weapon?

Well the DE's that are listed in a previous post are the "easier" mobs, at night the cabin spawns these...

and probably more, but they were all red and scowling to a lvl 50 troll sk, and the enchanter mob had the ishva on, the warrior dual weilding 2 weapons that had the appearance of runed falchions. I'll send in screenshots when i find them in my EQ folder.

A group of us were camping the nighttime baddies in Kith. My tracking picked up a mob (can't recall the first name) with the last name Reaver. Thought this may be interesting, as did the rest of my crew ("bring him on!"). As I was running through the wood looking for him, he found me first. He's a dark elf mob and extremely aggro, since when I first saw him he was nearly as far away as you can get in sight distance and already bearing down on me!! I dragged him to my group, but dragged a few nighttime baddies, as well.
The "Reaver" as we now call him conned red to my 43 ranger, and caused a lot of excitment in my +50 partners (he Feared me the worse I've e'er been Feared!! LOL). We failed to drop his ***** however, with the skellies and whatnot giving us assorted grief. That was two nights and (approx) 12 hours of camp time ago and we've not seen him since...
Can anyone offer any information regards this Reaver ??

I was running from FP to RV to buy something, and this jerk jumps me and hits 5 or 6 times for around 80-100 each (guess he didn't get behind me to backstab). I'm only Lvl 16, so I had absolutely no chance. This was at the RV zone - in fact, I was so close that if you zone from RV to Kith, you'll trip over my corpse. This zone is ridiculously dangerous for being on a major travel route. BTW, this was at 3PM when I *thought* it would be relatively safe. Oh well. Also, I never saw him, so he most likely has invisibility.

He is the Teir Dal Reaver, spawned when you give Giz X'Tin the coin for the druid/ranger epic quest. Was blue to a 52 ranger and he is optional to kill, so someone spawned him for the quest and couldn't take him.

I almost got killed by him right as I zoned in from WC. He punched me once for 101 points and I backed into WC and when I appeared I had 1 bub of health left (He only took 1 bub with the one hit I saw).
What's wierd is this was at 8:00 in the morning. I don't know if it was left over from the previous night or what. In any case, I'm lucky I lived.

same thing happened with me (lvl 27 warrior) i had full life ( a good 850 or so hps), was a foot from W commons when he doubled me for 150some and 90. when i zoned to over i had a bub left. i wasnt doted or anything either.

He will only be seen during the daylight hours cause that is when Giz X'tin will appear.
Defiler P`tioul is one of the named dark elves now found at the house in Kithicor.

I've never heard of AlliedArmy, but Child of Hate has to be Lanys'Tval (sp?) who was the daughter of Innoruuk himself. AlliedArmy may be the army that was lead by Fironia Vie to victory.

Well I have noticed the past few nights as I wandered through Kithicor in the dark that there has been a Cliff Spider on tracking near the zone into HH. I decided last night to see what it was, it looked like a normal large spider and was very green to me, I'm a 49th druid. The only real strange thing was that when I killed it, I got a negative faction hit with GiantSpider(s). Does anyone know of anything else on this faction?

hehe it's been there forever and the faction i wouldnt worry about, it's like getting faction from the skelletons in east karana that spawn by the gnolls. the cliff spider is like a newbie mob. :)

A critter not mentioned here. Not much info for you tho. Saw him the other day, con red and aggressive to a 34 druid. Also, as with many Kith critters, the pathing and "vanishing act" with this guy is bad. I was tracking a dread wolf when it vanished from sight and track, very near the zone to WC. Then I saw the enraged and almost died when I thought it was the same wolf.

This is a very nasty puppy. Conned black to a level 45 Ranger and casts a STR debuff. Hits for 97 points max. Drops the Dreadskin Cloak AC 6 +1 WIS +6 AGI +5 Disease (I think) Ranger/Druid Only

Yes very nasty I was in a group and we killed two of them very lnog and Hard. both dropped a Torn page of MAGI'KOT PG.1 LORE ITEM NO DROP. Am still looking into what it is for any help welcomed.

More new mobs... I was killed by a lieutenant last nite running from HHP to WC, very close to HHP. I had SOW and was camo'd and before I knew it, I was down to 1 bubble of health. MAJOR SPELLS. He never took a swing at me, only spells.
And this was at 4PM!!! Guess it's only safe from 9AM - maybe 3PM!!!

There is a lvl 63 mob here. He is a DE rogue. I forget his name. The quest was tried to be finished last night. Here's the info on the raid.... Kill count of 31.... Everyone there who was killed was 40-60... So, good luck :)

Good luck getting them, they drop off a REALLY high level mob. not sure if it is the commander (who is at least 63+) or one of the other inkies, but chances are, you will need several full groups of lvl 50+'s more of the +'s.

Hi I love this site but the Monster List really needs to be updated. I play a lvl 35 Warrior on Morrel-Thule and spent two days pulling Kith MOB's to the WC zone for my group(after two days and 3 deaths + numerous close calls, {they got our CLR once too =( sorry Drey} I've decided this place is out of my lvl range for now) and there is a lot of wierd new stuff in there.
Enraged Dread Wolf(as mentioned earlier in thread) Red to me at 35, Quad hits for 90(ouch), was told by a Necro in our group that they are lvl 40 but I dont know.
Risen Commander Rtm, left him alone, dont think he is new just rare
Failed Experiment, left him alone(and Im glad after reading the sept 25 post)
Zombie General: ok I have never seen this guy mentioned in any posts but I know he exists because I zoned out of Rivervale one night and decided to try and make it to HK because its not a far run. He was standing just down the road with his pet. Aggroed me instantly from far range. "aereewww join me in death weak fleshling!" Hit me with a Necro spell straight off I dont know what it was but the text was "You writhe in pain and agony" and it did 300+ in one shot. I was too far away for it to be his HT. Fortunatley I was close to Rivervale zone so i ran back in right away.
Im sure there are many that I have not seen that are new. Very exciting place to pull but also very dangerous. A full balanced group of 35's should have no problem if they pull selectively. Of course thats the problem =)

Invisible versus Undead does work. Had it on as I was running along with my necromancer. I conned a Zombie Trooper and it said scowling. I asked a friend in my guild and he said it is just a glitch and I tested it out by running up close enough to kiss an Undead Healer hehe. It worked. Despite it saying scowling, it worked. Just some conning errors like the crocodiles and all them in Oasis I suppose

Innoruuk willed his daughter and the fury of entire Neriak to march through Kithicor forest in an attempt to invade highkeep in search of more of a blue pulsating stone of immense power (This stone itself summoned the prince of hate in the story later!)The artifact was called Nurgal's stone as it was mined and discovered by a Pickclaw goblin named Nurgal. Upon discovering this stone of power, Innoruuk's greed drove his Teir'dal creations under Lanys' lead in search of more of this stone, which was first mined and discovered in Highkeep. The battle was fought between the inhabitants of Highkeep and the Teir'dal and in the story,the daughter of Innoruuk was severely weakened by the avatar of Tunare (Firiona Vie, the woman on the EQ box with little clothing and a sceptre of light given to her by Tunare the mother of all), Lanys fearing that she would lose the battle, called out to Laarthik who took the stone out and screamed an invitation to the prince of hate himself! the gateway to the plane of hate opened up and a tremendous amount of energy was released searing Laarthik killing him instantly. Snatching his daughter into his home plane, Innoruuk cursed the forest with his hatred and thousands who were slain on that day rise as undead in the night.And that's the day when Innoruuk severed the connection between his plane of hate with the mortal world of Norrath in Kithicor forest. The whole of kithicor was bathed in blood from the battle itself and from those slain when the energies were released from the plane of hate. Hence the name Bloody kithicor. The energies can even be felt by those who were not present during the battle! Some say that laarthik roams Kithicor at night, (which i believe is his mummy form as shown in the pic above) and the slain troops (those undead soldiers commanders etc.) Someone also posted that DEs are present which is no surprise since the survivors of Bloody Kithicor could be those veterans settling there. BTW, I've been there at night before and seen quite a few decying commanders, each holding some sort of staff and a black skeleton pet following them. Well, I'm a roleplayer and this story is taken from Harpy's Head tavern from official EQ page and ppl like me who are ever curious about the history of norrath would love that page. i was alrdy interested almost a year since I've started playing EQ before it came out. Well, i certainly hope this helps for those interested.

Add dark elves to the new mobs list. At least on the Luclin server. (As I understand some mobs are missing from different servers)
Field Medic Y'sart, Subaltern F'razx, Chaplin F'tyr, Defiler P'tioul, Lieutenant G'tav, Recruiter P'mak, and Lieutenant V'par.
These 7 dark elves have taken up residence at the ruined cabin at location: 800, 2300. Of them the Recruiter and the Defiler both have necro pets, the Chaplin and the Field Medic both have blunt weopons (I assume clerics). Not sure of classes of the others. All of them conned red to a level 21 monk (killed him on sight) and amiable to a dark elf enchanter (who got the body of the monk back =).

We also came across this past weekend, one called a Tier Dal Reaver......was red to all of us 40-44. We had 8 players there and decided to give him a shot. He was quad hitting for 140's. Our 2 clerics, shaman and druid all went oom keeping 2 warrior tanks, a Monk and a rogue healed and trying to debuff the mob. We finally had to run for the zone. Everyone lived although most were down to their last bub of health. We got the reaver down a quarter bub. We won't be pulling him again anytime soon.

If he is a Tier'Dal reaver, that would make him a lvl 51-54 shadow knight. Bad news for anyone levels 40-44 (except for dark elf sks)

How to raise faction with Giz X`Tin? Need him for Epic Quest and can´t do cause of dubious considering. It´s the NPC on whom the Tier´Dal Reaver spawns.

Well, I was running thru Kith...I wanted to check out that new dark elf outpost with my dark elf shadowknight. Went there during the day, they all conned warmly...hailed them all ...got nothing out of them. I read on another site, that Laarthik K`Shin spawned inside that cabin at night, and seeing as I want to camp him for the Blood Rivven Axe, I decided to sit there and see if it was true...well, at 8pm, the necro casted a spell and all of the dark elves vanished. I put up my invis undead and waited a little longer...checked time...11pm game time all of a sudden the cabin sprung to life...not with the mob I was expecting, but more dark elves...scowling ready to attack at my sk who is kindly considered by every faction group of dark elves! Along with them, 3 healing type undead spawned at the front of the cabin, four skeleton troopers had each corner of the cabin, and two zombie commanders inside. Got the names of these new dark elf mobs who, by the way, conned red to my 44 sk...

Coercer drops Ishva and Kedge robes and takes about 2 55+ groups to be sure to take her. Shes a chanter If I remember right. All of them drop very good loot and if a rogue hands in his box for the ragebringer to Coercer it spawns the General, level 63+ and HTs for 1500 almsot totally resistant to magic was a hardassed fight we had 50 planes ready people and 10+ still died, most of whom were rogues with duelist on and backstabing in teh 1000s hehe.
