Got this weapon last night, after taking down the general for a guild rogue...at first glance the stats didnt look that impressive, but, I decided to work out the ratio at my level anyway.
(ignoring everything but damage/delay/damagebonus, damage bonus of a lvl65)
Primary:
Edge: 14(+13) = 27/25 = 0.92 ratio
DLB: 22(+13) = 35/34 = 0.97 ratio
SAoS: 14 (+13) = 27/21 = 0.77 ratio
Offhand:
Edge: 14/25 = 1.78
DLB: 22/34 = 1.58
SAoS: 14/21 = 1.5
Fully hasted am guess SAoS + Edge will outdamage SAoS + DLB, will have to parse to find out though. (no epic.../cry....close though ;p)

are you dumb...? DMG bonus is actual dmg that will be aded to the weapon as you are speaking... it is dmg added to the actual hit, and to the roll.
Just to let you know and DlB is **** at 65 you should have better if you are 65 (i know your not 65 war) but im saying........at 65 should have like ChOs and SoBs (good 65s have warlord and edge of eternity) at least although most lvl 50 wars dual those too... my war has spiked and snowchipper for when he hits 51. :P only 10 more to go.

I recieved this fine weapon the other day at the end of a raid that got a Rogue in our guild his Epic. I wasent there looking for a reward...I was there to help a friend, and help the guild.
I am Very thankfull for recieving this weapon, and it would be a great weapon for any player regardless of class; it should be given to whoever can put it to the best use. Its a question of mind set. Ya, you can Solo, and we all have, but at 50+ that gets tough for all classes and impossible for epics. If you wish to succeed in the game, you have to work and think as a team, not just a bunch of peeps who happen to be grouped...need before greed...it sounds sappy, but that dont meen it aint true. ok, sorry about the preaching. I just get tired of hearing how one calss is better/more deserving than another...Blaa, Blaa, Blaa. Its a load.
Anyway...WOOT! this Blade rocks) Im using it paired with a Razor Edged Shantok and SCHW. The DPS & stats are great, and with jolt agro is not a problem.

Bought one of these a couple of Months ago for 3k ( Mature server so prices lower than most) I am dual weilding it with Swiftwind and it rocks :) If you can .. get one , and once you get earthcaller give this to your friendly rogue If you cant find a rogue give to a ranger or a bard or even a warrior ... I only say warrior last as they have access to a greater range of weapons but Im sure they would like this too ..
Nice ratio .. not too slow and superb stats ...

i dunno about that little excuse for warriors but i agree that there, well, really good warrior weapons. so i say give to a warrior first if he doesnt have a good weapon, because my alt lvl 16 warrior wuz pullin around 67 damage off those little,(i say little cause im a troll) Emmisaries. so yea give it to a warrior, it take about a lvl 65 solo wizard to take down the dude that carries this but he is magic resistent so use fire mostly if you do use magic...if you got one on tholuxe paells ill buy it, bagkbaz

Okay, first off, how can you be doing 67 damage a hit at lvl 16? Second off, i'd really love to see a wizard, or any caster for that matter try to solo this guy, regardless of equipment, spells, or luck. You need a decent sized raid of high 50's low 60's to take him down. Seriously, with lifetaps and the way this guy swings, even the raid will have a good amount of losses. Try and make stuff more believable before you post.

I just want to say that I just got this sword to replace my centi longsword and it is awesome. 14/25 in my off hand is amazing, plus the +8 Dex for my ranger is nice. I'd recommend it to any ranger thant doesn't have both epics yet.

i purchased one of these recently and i am very happy with the damage it puts out. At lvl 58 my highest hit with it is 76dmg, not too shabby for offhand
Xyrax, you speak the same language as i do. If a rogue had this (and i wish i will someday...im a rogue btw) and their epic together it would be some very nice dmg output. But sadly, not all rogues know how to play the class right. So that combo, or just this weapon, in the hands of a bad rogue player could spell disaster quite quickly.

dude, get the **** over your self. i play a ranger, and rarely forget to snare. oh by the way i jolt before i snare so i rarely get agro. whether or not the ranger snares has nothing to do with how you can maintain YOUR agro.

I totally agree. This weapon is nice. I won one a month ago on a general raid. With the 40% haste on my Swiftwind(ranger epic blade 1 of 2), its amazing. Plus i recently got the eyepatch of plunder, and the 20% haste from that stack with epic makes this weapon insane. Rogues very much should use this weapon, along with other classes too. Im a ranger and i probraly wont use another weapon untill i get my second epic(which may actually be soon) which is a 14/24 with a proc of 500dot and either 50% or 70% attack slow.

Please confirm that this weapon still drops, because I'm not so sure it does anymore. I did a raid that saw the general go down 13 times in one night and the Edge did not drop at all.

- we later got bored and made list of all that need to die inc players that have crossed us or killed us, since list was made, only 1 is left untouched, thats the nexus scion, accid atked her and he healed me killing us both, in 2-3hits, everyone else including inny- tunare dead. AND ORC 1!!!! u freaking orcs

Well I respectfully disagree with you, honestly I am a 52 Warrior and I would use this. Not -all- the time, but then sometimes I don't want to taunt :) Not all Warriors have their epics, btw, we're not like Rogues, our epic is a touch more difficult.

Bards, rangers and rogues should all have a shot at this weapon. It is completely impractical for warriors because of high delay, and the knight classes can get better results and ratio with many 2HS or 2HP.
Any of the non-MA classes should have the best damage at a delay of no lower than 22-24 or so. Rangers and bards don't have the DEF/AC to deal with aggro and rogues become less effective if they get aggro.
I think any smart guild would default the roll on this to ROG/RNG/BRD only.

Wha? Impractical for warriors because of high delay? Okay.... i've got a 56 war, and that is not "Impractical". Seriously, that can go mainhand any day, so that I can drop some big baddy in my offhand and have fun. And even then, that's not "impractical". If GSoT isn't "Impractical" with it's 31 delay, I don't think this is with it's 25.

You ever come to think that the reason this is usable by so many other classes is to entice them into helping you rogues with your epic? Sure does give alot of incentive to other classes to give you a hand...
I'd have to agree with alot of other people on this. NBG. You got something almost equal to it and someone else is still swingin a Wurmy, let them go for it. Otherwise, let the raid leader decide who it goes to or if it goes on a roll.

Yes this is a great combination for a rogue to DW..i can't think of anything better either besides maybe primal velium spear from sleepers like i will EVER see that anyway heh

..what i don't get is why the hell would any rogue want to give up this weapon?? when i have to kill the general i hope he has the edge cause i want this blade! my 1hs is at 220 at lvl 54 so it makes more sense to have a ragebringer in primary with a dmg of 15 and this weapon in secondary with a dmg 14..i don't want to have a dmg15 weapon in primary and STILL be using a damn dmg 10 piercer in secondary melee slot..its the ROGUE's epic mob NOT warriors or anyone elses...if a kickass weapon dropped off a warrior epic mob do you REALLY think they will say "sure rogues can roll for it also" if it was rogue usable?? NO he will keep it even if his epic and other weapons were alot better but i want it not for greed i want it for MORE dmg ..you know damn well any nonrogue who gets this probably has better weapons and will just sell it anyway ..there's a reason why verant put such a good weapon on a ROGUE mob cause they knew this and the ragebringer would be kickass combination..its actually like the rogues epic goal is to duel weild the RB and Edge ...verant didnt add this weapon cause they thought "we'll add this on this rogue mob as a gift to other NON rogues for helping" no dont think so , this blade was meant to be DWed with the RB..plus str/dex/agil +8 no rogue needs those stats?? :)

Well I'll tell you this. Ask that (those) Warriors with Disc Defensive to come out to kill General with you. Heck, ask them to tank all of the DEs up to and including him. Ask some backup melees to show up too, so that you can kill General without everyone dieing. Watch him drop the Edge (Not Rogue only). You just got your epic and you're going to tell all of those Warriors, and all of the assorted backup melee people, that no, you want the sword too? Yeah, we all busted our asses to help you get your epic, and you demand this too? Get real. I can't imagine how much help you'd -ever- get from those backup melees again if you pulled that kind of attitude.

I (The Warrior) try to tell you (Whoever) that I want both, because it was my epic mob.

better yet... tell all the warriors and assorted other melee beforehand that you're laying claim to it BEFORE the raid... see what kind of raiding force you're left with afterwards...

I agree, this weapon is awesome for rogues. Sweet stats and the dmg,del,ratio is very nice. I mean ive seen better but for a rogue i have to say that this is partly a dream. Any rogue who gets this should never give it up, unless hes leaving the game and hands it down to another rogue =) but i can see a ranger or bard using this too. I mean i play a rogue, ranger, and a bard and they all need a fast weapon with good dmg. And this would suit any of those classes based on that. But this truly is a nice weapon, and whoever gets it(rogue,ranger,or bard i hope) is truly envied by me. I just hope that one of those classes gets it, just seems like a waste to put on a warrior(no offense...just my opinion) thx all

When I first saw the stats on this weapon and saw that it could go into secondary slot i thought the exact same as you Xyrax, what a perfect sidekick to the RB. Now why in the hell would a warrior want this weapon? There are so many other better weapons for warriors out there that it would truely be a shame if a warrior were to take this weapon from a rogue. Korinn, you make me sick for being greedy or maybe its your ignorance of rogues and the small range of usable off-hand weapons we have. BTW who the hell needs a warrior around if your rouge is duel wielding this and RB!!! i could care less if a had a warrior in group if i had this with BR. I cant think of too many combos better than BR and this weapon for a rogue. Maybe 1 or 2, but lets be realistic!!!

A rogue asking why you would need a warrior around, that's rich. Umm, maybe to do his job hold aggro so you do your job and backstab? But maybe I misjudge you and you like getting torn to ribbons by melee MOBs with your lower HP and AC. From what I see on this weapon, it's not going to give you the AC or HP of a warrior. I know what hyperbole is, but give me a break. And here's a tip: warriors want any weapon better than the one he's wielding. I'm not saying this should neccesarily go to a warrior or a rogue or any of the allowed classes, but unless you have a better weapon, the drool is going to start as soon as drop is announced. I'm not going to decline this if my raid leader gives me the go ahead, just like you wouldn't decline a drop that might be better for a warrior if it's something better than what you have.

I'm with you Xyrax. This is a badass weapon that I hope to get my hands on someday. Warriors and other melees get PLENTY of great 1hs's that Rogues can't use. And lets face it, Dual Wielding piercers isn't that great of an idea BECAUSE max damage on most piercers is around 10-11 or so. This is a perfect slasher for a rogue's offhand on the perfect mob - the one in the epic. Let the Rogues roll.

I should be killing V'Ghera in a few weeks to finish out my epic. If this drops I will not loot or even roll on it due to the fact that I never could have gotten this far without the help of other people. I would never chose to loot this as it is a slap in the face of all the warriors, rangers, bards, and other classes that have helped me get as far as I did. The rogues that say they would loot this and then call the other classes that would use this "greedy" need to take a look at themselves. No rogue would ever be able to kill this mob by themselves. So as a reward to your friends and those in your guild you should allow anyone to roll on this item. Even casters should have a chance as they can sell to help upgrade their current gear. Any rogue that would even try to claim this as rightfully theirs does not appreciate the help and dedication of others that it took to achieve the rogue epic

I did the General Yesterday - woot. This and a RBG dropped. Had 4 good groups. Makes it worthwhile to help a rogue, when you got a shot at those 2 items.

How do people get this blade? I know it drops off of V'ghera but how can people possibly get one? Is the only way through guild raids? Is it even thinkable for a person to solo or double him? There is alot of stuff i dont understand and all the help i can get would help.

He is a triggered spawn, the last mob in the rogue epic queest. From what I have read 5 solid groups is reccomended to take him down.

I was running through EC and got a tell asking if I would give a hand with a rouges epic in Kith.
Didn't know the rouge but always willing to lend a hand. Well one of these dropped and I won the roll with my 1st ever 100:)I was offered 30K and a bloodpoint for it. (I am using it still) prolly the best weap I will get. This and a green jade do awesome amounts of fast damage.

This is a GREAT weapon, insane. Not worth 35k, but 30, if you ever see one being sold, which ya don't :)

I hope that the fewl who posted 1pp selling price is removed from the price info, he posted that like 20 times, those of us who want to actually know how much people value things are screwed by idiots who do things like that!
