For those that are a bit confused on the matter HIE = High Elf and they cannot use this item since they cannot be Rangers. However, HUM = Humans, HEF = Half Elves (Me), and ELF = Wood Elves can. Not sure whether HFL = Halflings can use now that they can be Rangers too. Hope that clears a few things up... Oh, and as a side note I too have a BA Coif over this but agree that it's a tough choice between the two... Happy Hunting.

Hmmn...this, or my Blackened Alloy Coif... 4 AC is a kinda big difference, but the Coif is STR+6, and 6 to all saves, what do you guys think??

resist gear is more important at high lvls, the strenght don't matter the 6 to all resists, makes the other one a more desirable item.. just grab some item with high ac and put it somewheres

I have the same dilema- I have a BAC as well but want to get the Ivy Helm. I have been reading around that for Rangers AC tends to be more important than STR but if you can make up the lost STR in another item it is probably worth it to have both helms and use each one in different circumstances. But I would think that since Ivy is Ranger only that we should have this stuff. Definitely a tough choice though..

That is certainly correct, seeing as the item is Ranger only. And, isn't it true that only wood elves, half elves, and humans can be Rangers?
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 30 2001 at 2:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) High Elf = HIE
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 8:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No up at the top above the one with the picture where it lists the stuff it says High Elf under races
