Yes, no matter what anyone says there is no way to become KOS forever, it may take a few weeks of gettting fraction but it can be done. The fastest way to get fraction with them is at highpass turning in scalps & ears.
Another quest that's good for increasint Freeport Militia faction - and has been used by killers of Sir Lucan - to the point that they can walk right up to him and he considers them to be his ally (!!!) is the Inert Potion Quest in Erudin palace. The section on this web site about that quest sums it up very well. To do this quest you'll have to get your Craft Keepers faction up first by offing Heretic necromancers in Tox for a few hours first, but then it's no problem. Be forewarned, though - whatever you do, it will take a while to be non-KoS to the Freeport Militia after that...but repairing the faction has been done.

IMO the best and only quick way to raise faction is collect deathfist belts .. kill or buy your choice .. then pay a druid to turn you into a wolf IN wfp .. then turn in about 30 of them.. this worked great for my 16 necro with nfp faction so im sure it should do the same with wfp

I assisted in the takedown of Sir Lucan in West Freeport for a guildies Epic. I zoned out for the first kill, but didn't make it in time for the kill of his skeleton after-self.
Naturally I went KOS in West Freeport with the FreeportMilitia. What surprised me is that I went around to East Freeport and was KOS to those guards as well !! In Addition...I turned into a wolf and was STILL KOS !! WTF ????
If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them, cause it looks like killing one mob floored both factions when they are supposed to be linked.

If you aggro'd him and ran away, then got turned into a wolf and returned (without zoning in between), you will still be KOS (from the previous aggro).
The guards in both East and West Freeport are on the Freeport Militia faction. The guards in North Freeport are not.

I got the faction from sir lucan, and I want to know, is it REALLY a permanent faction hit? I mean really, i've been trying to get faction from a week now, i want to know if it's really permanent... If it is, then is there no way for me to get into WFP? I'm an Iksar Monk and i helped kill Sir Lucon DLere because my friend told me it would raise NFP faction very big.... Someone please tell me if it's permanent or not(I hope its not, because my friend just told me it just drops your WFP faction down to 0)... SOMEONE EMAIL ME AT SYKOTEK@PRODIGY.NET !!!

My 47 war is kos in wfp and efp and I can't deal with vendors in nfp. My faction with the guards is at the point where it reads "your faction cannot get any worse" Is my faction permanent or is it still repairable or can I at least regain some faction to deal with the freeport merchants. If so how can I do it?

Ok, i started out indiff to the militia and kos to the knights of truth. now i am above indiff to the knights and kos to militia. I had to kill a few guards in Efrprt for darkforge quest as I am a DE SK. Now when ever I kill orcs and the such to raise faction in frport at all, I get no increase for the militia at all. Is there a way for me to correct this. I kinda need the frprt area for merchants and boat to BB. I am just wondering if I can get my faction fixed or not. I cant turn in DF belts, kos and cant get to the guy now. If anyone knows a way to fix this, please post it here. Thanx

Maybe this reply is a little late. The fact that you are getting no militia increase from killing orcs has nothing to do with the fact that you killed guards. the orcs do not give militia faction ever.
I think the best way to fix it is to do the belt quest (while in shared wolf form). This will probably make you KOS to Nfreeport though. If you want to keep your faction in NF, and raise militia faction, you going to have to go to Highpass and turn in gnoll and orc scalps (scalps must be from highpass).
However, i've been doing this for weeks now and have turned in 90 scalps and am still kos to militia.

Why is it that every quest that gives faction for the FP militia take faction from the Knights of Truth. I am needing faction in all of FP not just East or west. I was wondering if there were any quest that a 15 iksar monk can do to raise faction with both or one that raises it with FP militia but doesn't lower the knights of truth.

Just kill tons of the DF orcs in ecomm, that will raise for both. But dont turn any belts in, if you do you will lose faction with the opposite one. exp: Turn belt in at wfprt will lose faction in the north. and vice versa if u turn into the paladin for nfrprt the belts, then lose faction with the militia in efrprt and wfrprt.

DF orcs do not give Freeport Militia faction. The best way I know of to get Freeport Militia faction is in HH. Kill orcs or golls and collect the scalps. Turn gnoll scalps into the captain at the gnoll gate and orc scalps into captain at orc gate. No negative faction hits doing this. Only problem is it does require alot of these scalps and they dont seem to be that common. Once you get even higher levels (about 25+ minimun) you can go into the keep and hunt goblins and turn in left ears for same faction increases.

You KoS in evil guild area of EFP tunnels, IF you killed crushbone orc's.
KOS DRUID;

I took my first trip to FP, first trip ANYWHERE for that matter. :) I went looking around the place not knowing (should have found out first:( anything about what I would find there. I have lived a fairly sheltered life thus far in Kelethin) :) anyway I ended up somewhere that the bad guys hang out :) I was set upon by this female named Diana Poxbourne ( or something like that) she set her pet skelly on me and in 2 seconds flat I was a gonna, it took me HOURS and being killed a few more times,(and the help from some great and kind players who I never really got a chance to say a proper thank you to.) to retreive my stuff!! I now have this burning desire to go back if I can one day (when I am older and wiser) and pay her a call. I have looked EVERYWHERE I can think of for information about her, but can find nothing. could anyone tell me anything about her? I just have to redeem myself after being killed by someone with a name like THAT!! :)

I met her today in Freeport. She was running around the newbie area outside the gate, then followed me and some others inside Freeport. She and her pet nearly killed two 40+ level warriors, but they zoned.

I am a 51 Druid KOS to FP militia, I tried the inert potion quest in Erudin, did it for a few hours and am still KOS whether in wolf form or not...any help on it would be appreciated...

Killing the warriors (LVL 35) in FP Arena will raise faction to Militia. But this will ***** your faction with North FP. You can do the Tumpy Tonic quest and this will raise your faction to NFP again. I think 7 or 8 stacks of Tumpy Tonic handed to Grolfah or something in East FP will fix your NFP faction.

My friend and I found how to raise faction with Fp militia; Get together about 40 DF slashed belts next have a druid cast share wolf form on you then stroll into Fp and give the belts to the leader of the FP militia.

I don't know if this has always been, but this jerk can see invis. He stands right at the entrance to the militia house and got me killed. Watch out for him! I may have the name misspelled, but it's close. BTW, does anyone know if he was added recently, cuz i've never had a problem going invis in Freeport before

Ur kos to guards like my lvl 36 mage ? Take care as u come from Commons ... there is at least one guard that sees trought invisibility ! I tried it twice ... dying once and zoning once jsut before falling under a PACK of guards cause all see u if one does ! So watch yer step and keep ur as :-0

Hi, The Guards in East and West FreePort are different then the Paladins in North FreePort. To get good faction with the Paladins, kill orcs. To get good faction with the guards, do the inert potion quest listed above (Milita FreePort). Go to EQAtlas.com for a map on the tunnel thru FreePort to the Bank or the harbor, Good Luck, Bumperr WillowThorn of Xev Server.

i killed tollbooth gaurds, orcs, and now i am amiably in Nfp with gaurds.... not kos to anyone in zone... however my faction is so bad in other areas... so all the *sirs* will like u if one of them does

The character that I'm playing now is a troll warrior and I'm trying to get into West Freeport, and then of course to East Freeport and the Docks. (I want the Grobb Cleaver.) Some of the information on this board seems helpful. I'm first going to try to turn in Deathfist Slashed belts while invisible. I know that the statements on this board claim that you'll turn visible after turning in the belts, but My other character - an Erudite magician - turned in GLS in North Karana without turning visible. He'd only turn visible when selling the Concordatnce of Research back. I don't know if the messages here reflect changes that have been made in the game or not, but this is my current plan. If this doesn't work, I'll try the stuff in Highhold Pass by killing orcs and gnolls there and turning in their scalps. I'll try to keep this updated to let everyone know of my success or lack thereof. If anyone else has useful information on Trolls gaining faction with the militia, please post it. Thanks.

I think us trolls may be screwed from the get-go - take a look at what ticks the Freeport Militia off at you - killing Kobolds and making rat ear pies (which probobly means killing rats). I left the swamps when I made 10th level as a troll SK and 95% of those 10 levels were earned killing frogs and kobolds and now I'm about 11th from hunting orcs non-stop in EC, yet those guys at the tollbooth in WC will go out of their way to take me out.

Seems to b permanent. I helped on a Lucan raid last week and have done quest for the pass four days and I'm still KOS. Oh well time to start hunting freeport militia.

I just started a dark elf necro who is not Kos to guards in the Commonlands or in West and East FP, but the guards in NFP are threateningly to her. What faction are the guards in NFP and how do I raise the faction with them? I'm having an impossible time even figuring out what the faction of the guards in NFP is called.
