Can this task be requested by people who do not own the PoR expansion?

Captain Victor Lis patrols the top floor of the Temple of Marr in West Freeport (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Captain Victor Lis'

Captain Victor Lis says 'Halt! You there! You're [responsible] for the disappearance of the guards from the third outpost last night, aren't you. Answer me, swine!'

You say, 'I am not responsible.'

Captain Victor Lis says 'I apologize; I thought you were someone else. Five guards turned up missing from the third outpost on the South corner the other night and we have been scouring the land looking for any clues as to their disappearance. Are you [willing to help] me in this manner?'

You say, 'I am willing to help.'

Captain Victor Lis says 'It pleases me that you are willing to help, however I am not sure what someone with the likes of you can do.. Perhaps you can go down into the sewers. Head down there and report back to me with your findings. If you do run into any of the foul Orcish beasts, kill every last one of them! Move out, soldier.'

You have been assigned the task 'Orc Invaders'.

    1. Enter the Freeport Sewers through the concealed grate - Freeport West

This grate is located at +1020, -160 (just south of Brownloe Bakery).

      LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
      You have entered Freeport Sewers.

Is this an instance or the regular zone? If an instance, what is it called as you zone in?

    2. Locate and free the missing Freeport guards 0/5 - Freeport Sewers

Five Freeport guards have gone missing and are believed to have disappeared in this area. Sweep the area and see if you can locate their whereabouts. If you find any, you had best get them out in one piece. Captain Victor doesn't want any casualties on his watch. Quickly escort the Freeport guards to safety before the Orc invaders are able to allocate reinforcements!

At level 70 you will confront mobs such as a even-con Orc Devastator, and a skeletal crusader. The mobs appear to scale according to the average level of the group.

    3. Guide the missing Freeport guards out of the Sewers 0/5 - Freeport Sewers

      When you hail a guard:

      You say, 'Hail, Guard Trenble'

Guard Trenble says 'I can't believe you found me. Let's get out of here, I need to bring in reinforcements.'

Your task 'Orc Invaders' has been updated.

Once hailed, the guard will follow you. You have to take him to the entrance where you zoned in. Once you get there, the guard zones out and the task updates.

When the final guard zones out:

Your task 'Orc Invaders' has been updated.

An old chest spawns with loot, including:

      Victor's Mask of Protection

    4. Return to Captain Victor with news of your success 0/1 - West Freeport

You say, 'Hail, Captain Victor Lis'

Your task 'Orc Invaders' has been updated.

Captain Victor Lis says, 'Great work, soldier. You have brought back my loyal City Guards in one piece!'

Your faction standing with Citizens of Freeport has been adjusted by 75.
Your faction standing with The Freeport Militia has been adjusted by 75.

This is from my personal notes on the quest.

    Orc Invaders
Quest Giver: Captain Victor Lis (WFP, wandering on the top floor of the Temple of Marr)
    Quest Giver's Faction: None (Indifferent)
    Required Faction: None
    Faction Set: Citizens of Freeport
NOTE: This NPC has more than one mission.
    Minimum Average: 43
    Maximum Average: 75
    Time Allotment:

    Orc Invasion
This mission takes place in an instance of the Freeport Sewers. Captain Victor Lis can be found on the second floor of the Temple of Marr, wandering around.

You say, 'Hail, Captain Victor Lis.'

Captain Victor Lis says, 'Halt! You there! You're [responsible] for the disappearance of the guards from the third outpost last night, aren't you. Answer me, swine!'

You say, 'I am not responsible!"

Captain Victor Lis says, 'I apologize; I thought you were someone else. Five guards turned up missing from the third outpost on the South corner the other night and we have been scouring the land looking for any clues as to their disappearance. Are you [willing to help] me in this manner?'

You say, 'Well, you're a rude prick, but I'm still willing to help.'

Captain Victor Lis says, 'It pleases me that you are willing to help, however I am not sure what someone with the likes of you can do.. Perhaps you can go down into the sewers. Head down there and report back to me with your findings. If you do run into any of the foul Orcish beasts, kill every last one of them! Move out, soldier.'

You have been assigned the task 'Orc Invaders'.
(Yellow Text) The direction to the entry of your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.

Obviously, social grace is not among the good captain's strong points.

(0/1) Enter the Freeport Sewers through the concealed grate

The entrance is at -275, -140, behind Brownloe Bakery near the southernmost zone to East Freeport.

The sewers are crowded with orcs, as well as the usual contingent of sewer creatures including mosquitos, leeches, biles, and skeletons. Everything will run, even skeletons, so have snare or stuns ready. However, everything assists everything else, so you don't need to worry about one running while you are still fighting another.

In this particular instance, all zone outs except the entrance are blocked off.

(0/5) Locate and free the missing Freeport guards

Upon zoning in, both this stage and the next stage are uncovered, so you can lead the guards to safety at any time.

Each guard is found lying on the ground. Near each of the guards is An Old Weapon Rack, unattackable and unopenable. Once you hail a guard, it will stand up and follow you. At this point the guard will not attack or be attacked. They will not follow you until the orcs around them are dead.

If a guard gets close to a weapon rack, they will equip a sword and shield and act like an enchanter pet. Once you hail a guard, you can hit F1 twice to target it, just as with a pet. Others in the group won't be able to do this unless they zone. If you gate or die, your guard will usually attach itself to another member of the group. You can buff and heal them, and they won't be accidentally targeted by F8 or hit with detrimental spells.

Note that the guard does NOT count as your pet. You can have multiple guards following you, and presumably you can have a guard follow you even with a pet. However, if you hail one without a pet, you won't be able to summon a regular pet (unless you zone and transfer ownership of the guard to someone else).

If a guard dies, the mission will end in 60 seconds. Note that this is a change to the mechanics of the mission; originally, you could still get updates for dead guards.

(0/5) Guide the missing Freeport guards out of the Sewers

Guard Relot is found at +490, -890, in the south alcove of the largest room in the sewers, close to the center of the map. There is a weapon rack east of this chamber at +635, -1000, and one in the first room from the zone-in at +700, -275.

Guard Freeman is found at +175 -200, near the southwest zone out. You'll see two side rooms off this passage. He is in the north, and there is a weapon rack in the south.

Guard Krent and Guard Ilsnak are both in the cluster of small square rooms in the eastern part of the map, lying side by side in the northwest room. There is a weapon rack in the eastern room of the cluster at +660, -1475. The one weapon rack will equip both of them.

To 'lead them out' of the zone, just sit by the zone in and wait for them to path to you; once they reach you, they'll run past you and out of the zone.

So, we got this mission with a 72, 65 and 64. With this level average the mobs were all light blue to me at 72, and were hitting for a max in the 600s (mostly 400s).

Some interesting things we noticed: If you're wondering about the old armor racks, brining a guard you rescue near one seems to arm him. I gave him pet weapons as soon as he joined us, but I assume that if you don't have a mage to summon up pet gear, he'll equip weapons from the rack.

That brings me to my next point. You can buff them and they'll accept any items you give them, so you may want to give them all the buffs and pet gear (if you have a mage) you can. We pulled a mob while we had a guard with us, and he was meleeing for 600 (which in our instance was the same as the mobs, heh), so these guys can put out some damage in a fight. It's risky, but it might be worth keeping them with you when you find them, if you think you can keep them alive. You can most likely heal them as well though, if things do get ugly.

Requested this task with a 2 level 59s and a level 50. Mobs where DB to the 59s, and a mixture of reds and yellows to the 50.

Took about 4hours to clear the whole zone and rescue the 5 guards.

Final hail to Captain Victor Lis only resulted in faction upgrades:
Your faction standing with Citizens of Freeport got better.
Your faction standing with Freeport Militia got better.
Your faction standing with Knights of Truth got better.
Your faction standing with Priests of Marr got better.
Your faction standing with Dismal Rage got better.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors got better.

Didnt have a boss mob to kill and didnt see a chest or any special loot. but I might have missed it.
All the bats, rats and so forth dropped things like
Fine Rat Whiskers and Fine Bat Wings, these sold for a couple of PP each.

    The Orc Invaders

this is a group mission - not solo. minimum is 3 people max is 6

goal of this mission is to find 5 guards and theN run them back to the zone in.

they will only follow you once the rooms are cleared i think, or if you don't have aggro (Tried to train mobs and get guards to follow me but they only say "Help me.." instead of following.

Lots of mobs in this zone, Big zone too, lots of clearing. all mobs are lvl 70

Mobs in this instance are about strength of Mobs in Walls of slaughter, some pulls can be nasty if youre not careful (max hit 900 ish)

Once you find a guard (they are male humans in cloth armor that lie on the floor) and clear the monsters around him you hail him and

he will follow the person who hails. probably best if only 1 person does this. Walk them back to the zone in, they stop often and are kind screwy pathing

The pathing in some parts of this zone is Not good either, like the stone hallway in the SW corner monsters warp if you try to pull them into the lake area

Monsters do not respawn in this zone. I believe that the guards are always located in the same place, though I've only attempted this mission twice so far.

I've included a link to a map with where the guards were when i did it. I did not suceed, so don't know reward yet
