I jst started an Ogre Sk and, knowing LDONs were in my future, I wanted to get non-KOS in Freeport to avoid traveling hassels. Step 1: Camped Orc 1 in EC. Killing the orcs there does NOT raise Militia faction, but I kept quite a few belts. Once I had ten or so, I asked a druid to cast wolf form on me and turned them into aptain Haslan. I was no longer KOS when I did that, but I was dubious. Once at dubious I was able to turn in the belts without need for wolf form. I turned in perhaps 30 belts before moving on to WC to the bandit camp. Step 2,: At dubious, I was able to approach Guard Vallon in WC to turn in 4 orc picks. However, he would not give me the bag for the cutthroat rings step. Once again, I asked for wolf form. This time, when I said "I wil hunt dervish cutthroats" he gave me the bag. I combined 8 to make a carryable item, turned in the combined bag, then asked again for another bag (the bag and the combined bag are both lore). Step 3: I now have the "Militia Armory Token" (that is its correct name). However, Armorer Dellin says "he has no use for that item." I guess I will try wolf form again.

(I did not try to run out when he attacked because I thoght the guards would just kil me anyway if he was chasing.)
Hope any of you evil types looking to be able to pass through WFP and EFP without any hassels will find this post helpful.

What do you say to Guard Valorn to get the second part of the quest. I have done this three times, he either runs off or just tells me to wait there. What am I doing wrong?

On Rallos Zek (PvP Server) ...and perhaps other PvP servers people CAN NOT LOOT NO DROP ITEMS. So even though the tunic is only AC 9, it IS NO DROP.
Which is much better than constantly losing your Banded Chest or whatever you have that is better.
It's just one less piece of armour you have to 'bag' when a PKer has got your own the ropes, or a group of them is ambushing you.

Yes it's possible to do this quest with a Dark Elf Shadowknight, did it on another server and probably will do enough to get decent faction on the new server I'm on. belts are the best way to get faction, I know I haven't handed in all that much of them to get better faction with this new Shadowknight, but I've gone from dubious to apprehensively pretty easily. Going to take quite a bit more to keep going.
My other DE Shadowknight on Lanys T'vyl server has one though. Pretty neat looking =)

well i got the Scouts Cape and a grotesque mask so that +9 to dex plus cutthroat ring make +11 to dex plues this thing will make dex 110! P.S. its looks awesome too.

this quest is realy great for rogues my lvl 11 rogue got the tunic in 1 day all u have to do is hand in 400 df belts to get the faction

This is the perfect quest for a bard lvl 11. You must have the Cinda's Charismatic Carillon and cast it on Guard Valon-before giving him the orc picks... AND Amorour Dellin before giving him the bag of rings.
As easy as it is to pick of orc picks and dervish rings, you can easily get this tunic.

This quest sucks you have to get 8 cuttroat rings too get the token. By the level you get this you would probley have banded with 6 more ac.
Oh wow +2 to dex like you need it I would much rather have 6 more ac then +2 to dex. Also Most people I bet have better stuff then banded that will give to stats.

Derv rings are so common that you can get 8 for the quest and then get 2 more for yourself in about an hour while grouped in NRo or WC.... why not have the Tunic AND the rings? :-)

Ya I agree why get rid of cuttroat rings when you can have two that both give +2 to dex or +4 for both.

The only real saving grace for this item is its looks at low level, it looks pretty cool, kinda like the only use for the Crustation Breastplate or whatever its called.

I spent well over 4 hours on this quest with my lvl 8 Rogue, with the help of a 31 Ranger to track Pawns. After turning in over 6 sets of picks he still wouldn't give me the bag to combine the rings. Is there some trick to this or what?
I know at least when you fight at the WC you get over loaded with rings, If a level 1 wants some I probably would give it to him if he was nice.. that is how I would get that at level 1

How can you kill dervish cutthroats at lvl 1 like
the lvl thing says u can. You could buy them but another problem-what about going through East and West commons at lvl 1? If your not a ranger or druid kodiaks will attack you and you'd be dead in one hit and the lions in EC attack on site too. I would say that this quest should be around at least lvl 10. Happy EQing =)

I'm thinking it's referring to the orc pawn pick part of the guest as lvl 1. If you check the page for the Reserve Militia Tunic, it says level to acquire is lvl 20, which is obviously way too high, but at least it would be possible. :)

you need to be ambiably to the freeport militia to this quest. For this is a waste of time i tried getting it but you have to be patient cause the only way you can gain faction with the freeport militia(fast way) is hand in those ugly belts and if your KOS you really cant do this

I heard this item was mainly good for bards on Rallos Zek (I dont know why). Anyone know if this is true?
