Do you have to be iksar to do this quest? How or what can I do to get to this guy being human?

Edit: Found out, thanks anyway...:)

The hidden campfire in West Cabilis
# Dec 14 2002 at 8:20 AM Rating: Good
As you walk up the external walkway that lets you get to the upper level of the Necromancer Guild tower (Tower of Death), just before you re-enter the tower into the upper level, if you look to the southeast will your clip-pane turned all the way up, you will see a camp fire burning high on the wall south of the merchant area.

Well, if you're a curious broodling, it is indeed possible to make your way up there (without Levitate).

1) Find the boulder at the south end of the merchant area. It's up on the "sidewalk", not actually down on the sandy area where the merchants are.

2) From the boulder, it's a short hop to the slanted part of the wall to the east, then another short hop to a steeper slanted section around a "corner" of rock.

3) This allows you up into a small cave that is missing the back wall (you can see portions of the zone that you really shouldn't). This cave is down and to the left of the one with the camp fire.

4) From there, it's an easy scrabble up over some rocks to the upper cave with the camp fire and a small lean-to tent. Again, this cave is also missing the back wall, letting you see other potions of the zone.

Given the fact that both of these small caves are missing their back walls, it leads me to believe that there is truly nothing that spawns up here, and that the caves were merely added for "local color".

Are they KOS in the city? We are trying to hunt in LOIO and the run for my tank is horrable. I must admit it gives me time to med off his pulls but the down time is over my limit of waiting on him. Can we bind on the city? Are we KOS as we are in FV. we tried to bind him there and didn't work. Please help us find a bind for my little SK tank Homie. (Necros Rule) No need to worry about binding for us. Is it just the race that is KOS or Evil that is KOS...

would it be possible for a woodelf Druid to put on Sup Camo, run thru the gates from LOIO, dive into the canal, swim to the gates of WW & mkae it thru alive? If you hugged the wall away from the hermit & kept your SOW & Camo up? Would the Pets ago on you? Nothing else could see thru the camo could it?

Can non-Iskars bind here?

I have heard that they cannot. Is this true?
Can non-Iskars bind here?

Technicaly they can but it would be insane to due to the fact that as you spawn after death all the iksars around would attack you since anyone that isnt iksar (at least in apearance so u can use an ilusion) is KoS....GL with ur binding :P
Faction with merchant in cabilis

What is the way to improve the faction with the merchant in Cabilis. I am looking to improve my trading skills soon, and would like to keep the cost down by improwing the faction with the mechants in Cabilis

Faction with merchants is called Cabilis Citizens, with only a few exceptions on the west (necro) side. The bone chip quest in Field of Bones is a good place to improve faction with:
Legion of Cabilis (Warriors)
Crusaders of Greenmist (Shadow Knights)
Cabilis Residents (Merchants)
Scaled Mystics (Shaman)
Swift Tails (Monks)

Ya one time i was exploring and went down the waterfalls and into the beginning of the maze... i used to go down there sometimes cuz that forbidden merchant guy sold muffins..... and sometimes i just feel like eatin' a muffin... anyway, one time when i was down there i decided to go into the maze and try my luck rather than hopping back up the waterfalls... this really isn't much of a maze, its easy to find your way back to the merchant, its just kinda hard to find your way out at the top..... this has been said many times already but, all u have to do is keep going up the stairways and when u get to a room of solid rock walls, look for a wall that u can walk through... i found this when i noticed that there was a graphic glitch on the spot with the walk through wall... if u look at it from the right angle u can see some light from the other side... at first i thought this was just another glitch but i investigated and found that i could walk through it and end up back at the top of the waterfalls.... i dont know what the big deal is, it took me like 10 minutes to get out.... and anyways if u know the water jumping trick (which i assume everyone does), then u can just get out the way u came in...... but if u r no good at water hopping then u can just try the maze..... look for the light....

well that was my 2 coppers!!

My lvl 16 SK got stuck in this $#%$#& maze last night while looking for the zone to lake of ill omen. Talk about panic I kept trying to find ways to swim back out and even though he is excellent swimmer became so exhausted he could barely climb back up on the ledge. Thanks for the tip, I actually made it to that upper chamber and tried to find secret passage through a false wall with no luck. Hopefully I can find this hole in the floor and get out. Sucks badly to waste so much time. Thanks again for the tip.

if u make way back to bottom you can go out the way u came by using just the right angle you can push againist the walls near the smaller waterfalls and actually be able to jump up. I went all the way to the top and nothing happened.

seems to me I was in there and went to the end where the walls are unfinished, ran around the walls (leaning against them and found a secret exit).

Damn you guys suck ***. I wandered into that area seeing how the head Necro dude mentioned something about spells over there... So, I swam around and fell down into that hole, and then entered the maze. What's the deal with that half-wit merchant anyways? Anywho, I just ran up a few levels and fell out, took me less than a minute to get out and THIS IS MY FIRST TIME THERE.

ok, for all those of you who been killing lots and lots of sarnaks in ill omen - guess what? you might actually not be KOS with the cabilis guard by this poing - check it out, and if not, i HIGHLY suggest binding here. also, to gain faction with the rest of the city, check out the bone chips quest in feild of bone - with enough bone chips you WILL have great faction in cabilis, without realy affecting your faction with the rest of th world. that means you now have faster access to 4 zones - and beyond. ill omen, the swamp, the feild of bone, and warslicks, - and that means easier access by foot to all but 3 of the most major dungeons on the continent. warslicks is dalnirrs, feild of bone is both kurns tower and kaesora, - and feild of bone has a VERY easy acess to the emerald jungle - which means the city of mist. swamp of no hope has fairly easy access to trak's teath, wich means old sebilis. if you can get your faction high enough, use this city, it's very strategicly placed!

Not quite right ...the sarneks and goblins etc. only raise faction with the LEgion of cabilis...alas, you must also raise faction with the crusaders of Greenmist before your can be safe around the city enterances. Currently the only way to do so is through the various newbie quests offered in the newbie areas...such as the bone chip quest. Iksar Crusaders are the wandering guards with pets and the will get you if you try and exit the city after a bind and lack the faction to do so.
