Nioti may be found at +95, +75, +100 in the Abysmal Sea.

You say, 'Hail, Nioti'

Nioti says 'Yes, what is it? I am a bit occupied right now with quite the [predicament]. I swear things keep getting worse and worse around here.'

You say, 'What predicament?'

Nioti says 'Well simply put, we are overwhelmed with repairs. While we made it safely to the shores of the new continent, we suffered some damage to the ship. To make matters worse, we are running out of supplies to complete the needed repairs and I don't have time to return to the mainland to find more. I sure could use some [assistance]. I knew we should have never come here.'

You say, 'What assistance?'

Nioti says 'Well I cannot really believe someone would want to help me, but if you really could help, that would be great. I would need you to find four Branches of Sylvan Oak and return them to me. If you do this for me, I will find some way to reward you for your efforts.'

You can forage the Branches of Sylvan Oak in the Eastern Wastes or the Wakening Land, or simply go to The Bazaar and buy them for a few platinum. Give four unstacked branches to Nioti.

Nioti says 'I don't think you would return. I appreciate your assistance. I hate to do this, but before I can convince my foreman to give you a reward, I am going to need to ask you to help me again. According to another adventurer that passed through here the other day, there is a golem graveyard of sorts in a temple somewhere on this continent. If you could find this place and gather one clay golem part that would help us greatly with repairs. Why do we need these golem parts you ask? I have no idea. Grumby, our foreman said we needed them for some sort of repairs. Oh yeah, take this badge. It identifies you as part of the ship's maintenance crew. Just hand the badge to me when you hand in the golem parts.'
You gain experience!!

You receive a Worker's Badge (identifies as Worker's Badge Number One). The Clay Golem Parts are a ground spawn in Barindu at +600, -585, in a room with Ikaav Ixvet Pox who sees through Shroud of Stealth. Hand in the parts and first Worker's Badge to Nioti:

Nioti says,'Thanks. I hope that wasn't too much trouble. Seems we need more help. Grumby just informed me that some parts on the bridge have already been damaged by rust. That doesnt sound good at all. We will need your help to get some sort of anti rust agent. What? Hey, dont get mad at me. I am sorry I keep asking for help, but I am just following Grumby's orders. There is a gnomish tinker in Ak'anon named Gilipus that might have something to help us. Go there and hand him this note along with your badge so he knows you are working for Grumby. I promise to reward you for your time when you are done helping us. Take your badge back and give it to me again when you hand in the anti-rusting agent.'

You receive a Note to Gilipus and another Worker's Badge (identifies as Worker's Badge Number Two).

Head to Ak'Anon and find Gilipus at +1385, -867 in the room next to the Ak'Anon Bank.

You say, 'Hail, Gilipus'

Gilipus says 'I had a wrench around here somewhere...'

Give him the Note to Gilipus and the Worker's Badge.

Gilipus says 'Yes, what is it? Just a moment, I cannot read without my glasses.'

Gilipus rummages through his numerous pockets looking for his reading glasses. 'Oh this is most embarrassing. Seems I have lost my reading glasses. Oh wait, I know where they are. They are on this bench here.' Just as Gilipus reaches for his glasses, a small mechanical rat snatches them and hurriedly scuttles away. 'Oh drat. This isn't good at all. That defective cleaner just took my reading glasses! Think you could go get them? What defective cleaner you ask? I don't know for certain. I couldn't make out the serial number. If you can find my glasses, I will read this note you brought me.'

You get the Worker's Badge back, but this time it identifies as Worker's Badge Number Three. Kill a defective cleaner in Ak'Anon until one drops Gilipus's Reading Glasses. Give the Glasses and Badge back to Gilipus.

Gilipus says 'Thank you. That is much better.' Gilipus begins to read the note. 'You need something to remove rust? Yes, I do believe I have just the thing for you. Just bring me some rubbing alcohol and I can make what you need. Now where are my tools?'

You get the Worker's Badge back, but now it identifies as Worker's Badge Number Four.

Rubbing Alcohol may be purchased in Thurgadin from Adia Coldbeard and Karey, or in West Cabilis from a mortician. Give the Badge and the Rubbing Alcohol to Gilipus.

Gilipus says 'Hello what can I do for you? Oh yes, you needed something to remove rust. This rubbing alcohol should help you. Good thing you thought to bring it.' Gilipus begins to mix some different chemicals together in a small vial. 'Here you go. This should work. I think. By the way, have you seen a small notebook? It was green with a picture of a lovely cog on it. . .'

You receive a Vial of Anti-Rusting Agent and your Worker's Badge, which now identifies as Worker's Badge Number Five. Head back to Nioti and give her both pieces.

Nioti says 'What took so long? Grumby has been breathing down my neck all day asking for this stuff. I am glad you were able to acquire it. It seems like everything around here is rusting away in this salty air. Your reward? Yes, yes. I will reward you. However it seems we need more help. Grumby has informed me that we need some ore. Think you could go and get some for us? Bring back three blocks of ore and your Worker's Badge.'

You get the Worker's Badge back again (Worker's Badge Number Six now). Blocks of Ore may be crafted by combining 3 x Large Brick of Ore with 1 x Water Flask in a forge, trivial 27. Turn in the Blocks of Ore with the Badge.

Nioti says 'Not the best quality but this ore should help a lot. Now don't get mad at me, but before we can reward you, Grumby has told me that you will need to go get him some food. He said he wants some Filleted Mammoth. Oh and he also wanted a Jumjum Cake. Bring me those food items along with your worker's badge.'

You get the badge again, Worker's Badge Number Seven.
Filleted Mammoth may be baked by combining Mammoth Meat with a Filleting Knife in an oven or spit, trivial 143.
Jumjum Cake may be baked by combining a Cake Round, Clump of Dough, Frosting, Winter Chocolate, and any of three varieties of Jumjum Stalk in an oven or spit, trivial 166.
Turn in the Filleted Mammoth and the Jumjum Cake with the Badge.

Nioti says 'Looks like your work here is done. Grumby said I can reward you. Here you go. Thanks again and sorry for all the trouble.'

I do this with my lvl 55 rogue. just hide sneak into Barindu to get the Golem parts, then use my Veteran 100% rez/corpse summon if I get nuked. Its the only hard part of the quest, It is a bit silly to go to such a high end zone for a piece of noob twink gear, but 55hp and 21%haste wearable at lvl 1 is always nice, but yes there are easier ways to get haste items, even Glooming deep has a haste item now, LOL
please recheck actual level someone could do this

hey all,
according to posts and scripts about IIP this would really only be do-able by a level 55 after somebody raided that camp. You have atleast 15 monster's that are level 66 or higher in a 'small' area near where the clay golum parts are located. i checked according to the site's info on the part's they're no drop. so they can't be bought in the bazaar.

you'd have to get yourself a raid together and do this.

unless this can be found else where. this doesn't look like it's at all do-able at level 55. in a zone that according to your bestiary list that has 15 spawnable mob's that are below 60, with 20 that can be between 60 and 65, and another 10 between 66 and 73. this zone would be scary for someone below 66 or even 70 to go into.

granted the reward looks nice for someone without a haste item, but it's only 21%. and at 55 you could get something else that has a 21% haste. the silver chitin hand wraps have a 22% haste on them. and they're off a level 47 mob.

that's just my 2c.

If you're referring to the thing you have to pick up off the ground, I just hit Divine Aura and dashed into the room. Granted, this will cost a death, but then I have a 96-100% rez on hand all the time.

If you're the appropriate class, at any rate, it works.

Well, I suppose at level 55 a cleric may not have the 96 rez, but the 90%, at least, is available, and it's not like it's difficult to find rezzes anymore.

Easily done

I've done this quest 3 times with my 70 SK in the past few days to make some quick cash since coming back from retirement.

Was able to buy most of the items needed in the Bazaar for about 100-300pp. Total time from start to finish was about 30 mins, hardest part was getting the clay. Was able to invis and just run through the middle of the room and run back out without aggro.
Clay Golem Parts harder to get than stated?
# Aug 04 2006 at 8:28 AM Rating: Decent
Obtaining the Clay Golem Parts appears to be more of a problem than is described here. In that same room with Ikaav Ixvet Pox, there are eight Construct of War NPCs. They see through invisibility and are "ready to attack." One is immediately inside and to the right of the doorway, so it is hard to understand how it would be possible to get past him (I didn't try though). Perhaps these mobs despawn at certain times, in which case the current description would be fine at those times. On the other hand, if these mobs need to be killed, it would probably take a small raid to do so, and these days, that zone seems to be mostly unoccupied. All the time I was there (a couple of hours) poking around and exploring the zone, I was the only one there. Another possibility is that I don't have the right faction, but that seems unlikely to me.
Change Level

Need to change the level on this from 1 - 70 to 55 - 70. Just for the hell of it I took a level 1 to Nedaria's Landing, then walked over to Qinimi -- couldn't zone in, obviously. Would have been an easy quest for a level 1, but nooooo. :P
