Well, I'd have to agree. Anyone who can walk up to "a mortician" with the right amount of money can get this. Really, minimum level to obtain this should be like level 1.
Why waste money on wu's?

If you have 64cha, this costs 47pp from "a mortician" in West Cabilis. He always has this item for sale. It costs about the same a wu's fighting sash, and has twice the AC. What a bargain! This is one of the few good monk pieces that you can easily buy from a merchant. Go for it, don't let the mortician's creepiness scare you away from the best bargain in Cabilis!

I'm a wee Dwarf Rogue...I used my sneak/hide to get into East Cabilis. The post mentioning West Cabilis is wrong. Unless you are a Iskar or have good faction with the guards you are KOS. More about this later.... I zoned in andluckily no guards were around, a I returned to sneak/hide mode. Found the "a Mortician" on the second story of a house located at 163.4 by 675.8. On the first floor is a NPC named Lithriss Frizen. I went up stairs and saw the Undead Merchant. It is freaky, but he will not aggro on you and neither will Lithriss. While hidden and sneaking, right clicked on the Mortician. Boom menu came up, and there was my belt. Paid 49PP 1gp 5 sp and 9 cp got my belt and put it on. DOH that cancels out my sneak hide mode, but I was so happy that I didn't notice--my AC jumped from 466 to 479. Walked out side and BOOM....Trooper Gegren smacked the hell out of my little rogue bottom. He hit me for 187 point of damage 4 times straight. Went back and got by body...can U say /corpse to the zone? Remember KOS.....I found out the hard way....

Bad Buy

don't pay more than 50pp for this thing...its exactly the same as the Thick Leather Apron, and that apron is NOT lore. TLAs go for 50 plat, so don't pay any more than that for the autopsy

This item costs only 49 plat from the Mortition. So actually this is a better buy than the TLA and you don't have to look for a player selling it.
Fantastic Deal - buy one!

Yeah, West Cabilis, 2nd floor, the Mortician. Its about 48pp. This is one of the best deals in the game, especially for a Monk, since it only weighs 1.0! I saved every copper from lv6 to lv12 (including some nice bone chip sales) and got the 3rd best waist AC in the game as a completely untwinked character. :)

I forgot to say - 3rd best waist AC in the game for an Iksar Monk.

Who? What? Where? When? Don't worry about Why.

Where do you get this and what does it drop off of?
This is one of those items you want to get just to say you have it.
