Hmmmm... an alternative to the Neriak coffin run? I call upon my higher-level colleagues to test this out - or, wait a few weeks, I'll find out first hand :)
As far as I can tell, this is just a gag item thrown in to keep with the "a mortician"'s theme. He also sells A crusader's coffin, surgical saw, surgicl cleaver, crusader's coffin, autopsy apron and rubbing alcohol. Neither the body bag nor the crusader's coffin can be used for the summon corpse spell, I've talked to several necros who have tried. They might have some special purpose, but if they do, nobody's discovered it since Kunark was released. The surgical saw and the surgical cleaver are rediculosly expensive given their stats (both are slashing weapons, I believe that the saw is 1h and the cleaver is 2h, but not sure). Rubbing alcohol is needed to brew embalming fluid need for one of the iksar necro quests (embalming fluid is no drop, so you have to brew it yourself, can't get someone else to brew it for you. But it's a very low level brew, lower triv than short beer I believe). I remember fondly when a dark elf paid me 50pp to pick her up 5 rubbing alcohols, had no idea what she needed them for, but 50pp was a fortune to me at the time(and still seems like quite a bit now!) for a quick errand that she was too afraid to make herself (she had passable faction with Legion of Cabilis, but not with the Crusaders). The only really desirable item he sells on a regualr basis is the autopsy apron, 8AC, WT1.0, for 47pp. Popular with monks, it's about the most AC you can get for a waist item that's sold by merchants. Exact same stats as a thick leather apron you'll notice, but much more common and easier to get.
