Necromancer 9th Rank  

Just finished the 9th after so many years, haha, since 2001ish. Just had to get it. Everything worked for the quest. Nec 61, 2021 Oct.

No faction adjustments good or bad.

Couldn't find any info here on the loc of Ixpacan other than he is in the pit. Maybe I missed it but here it is: +53 -1060
This is in the far east corner of the middle 'arm' of the pit close to the entrance to the ruins (not the howling stone entrance, which is the west arm.) Edit: Silly me, the loc was at the top of the page, not in any of the comments. Either way you have it. :)

Btw, he con'd KoS to me as a gnome necro with the 8th helm but did not attack. He started the text but when he asked for proof and I handed him skullcap, he gave it back saying he had no use for it. Will try again with Iksar potion...

Iksar potion worked but immediately made me KoS to the Scorps so had to kill the one that was camping Ixpacan. Could have pulled him away and rooted if I wanted to avoid the VS faction hit but I think I can afford a blemish or two.

Potion also worked fine West Cab (entered from WW.) Was dubious to SK's but amiable to necro guild. Let me reinforce that you cannot do the head turn-in until you've turned in the helm to Ixpacan. I think it was said earlier but I had to learn the hard way.

Completed this today with my 38th level necro, turning in only the remains, so it's working since last patch.

NOTE: At 38, attempting to cast morternum gives "You are not sufficient level to use this item." Will update when it functions.

just to let everone know when i did my turn in 2 child of charasis spawned maid it a lot tuffer for a 54 necro he regens fast so be ready to gate i brought a cleric with and i took one down had to come back for the other good luck in your quest

I have finish this quest this day 15/03/2005 on the sebilis server. Is it a verry verry good item with this spell mortenium :0 The brittle bone is a rare drop of all skelette sepulcher. My bone as dropped at inferior stage.

2 dropped in west wing rather quickly -- I highly recommmend going there vs. camping basement. I camped basement for a couple of hours, and got the bones in west wing in about 10 mins.

I cant get Glosk to take the iksar marauder head. When I try the turn-in he replies back that I am not the right rank. I have my 8th rank cap, Ixpacan's Tomb and am 59th level, what does he mean by not the right rank??? Anyone have some suggestions? Oh and i have amiable faction w/o illusion and with i am ally, ive tried both

Ixpacan says 'Hmm. . .is there something I can help you with? I am far too [busy] to listen to your problems though so I take that back.'

You say, 'Why are you busy?'

Ixpacan says 'It is none of your concern unless you are truly gifted in the dark art of necromancy. If so, you will have some form of proof to show me.'

Give him your Necromancer Skullcap (8th necro skullcap).

Ixpacan says 'Oh, I see you are truly gifted in the dark arts. Well I will explain my dilemma to you now if you [wish to hear].'

You say, 'I wish to hear'

Ixpacan says 'I have recently found a volume on summoning a great minion from the Great Library of Charasis but I can't find all of the needed items. Being as I am one of the [sages of Cabilis], I request you go and [collect these items] for me.'

You say, 'What sages of Cabilis?'

Ixpacan says 'Ah, they are all but a memory now. We used to be welcome within the city of Cabilis but our quest for greater power led to our exile. No matter now, go retrieve the items and you will be one of the chosen to walk beside greatness.'

You say, 'I will collect these items'

Ixpacan says 'As you should broodling. The the first is a brittle bone, which was once used for reincarnations. The second item is a poisoned soul, this is from an iksar that died a cruel and twisted death. The death was so awful, it's spirit still roams around angry. The third you will find in the burning heat. The final item is a gem of reflection. I have yet to find someone that knows how to create one. Even those fools in Cabilis probably wouldn't know. Maybe you can locate that one yourself. Bring all of these items back to me and I shall do the rest.'

Ixpacan gives you Ixpacan's Tome, a four-slot container.



Harbinger Glosk is found in the necro guild in Cabilis West.

You say, 'Hail, Harbinger Glosk'

Harbinger Glosk halts his chanting. 'You dare to interrupt me? You had best have a good reason. I care not for small talk.'

You say, 'Tell me about the Gem of Reflection'

Harbinger Glosk says 'I have not been asked that in ages but I can recall the last person that asked me. If you are in league with that scoundrel Ixpacan, I will slay you where you stand! But if you are not, you will not mind ridding your kin of a [menace] as of late.'

You say, 'What menace?'

Harbinger Glosk says 'It seems as though a rogue marauder in a jungle near here has attacked several of our trade suppliers. If you can bring me back his head I will gladly share the information you have asked for.'

A rogue marauder is found in Emerald Jungle. Kill him, loot his head, and take it back to Harbinger Glosk.

Harbinger Glosk says 'You have done well in doing what I have asked. To make a gem of reflection you will need some Mt Death mineral salts, a green goblin skin, spiroc bone dust, essence of rathe, blue slumber fungus, and a vial of pure essence. Combine all of these in this container and you will have what it is you seek.'

Harbinger Glosk gives you a six-slot container, Glosk's Sack. Go get the six items and combine them in the sack to get a Gem of Reflection.

Get the other three items then combine all four of the items in the tome then turn the tome in to Ixpacan.



Ixpacan says 'Wonderful! You have brought all of the items I have asked for. Your future seems very bright with the rest of the Sages. Step back now as I conjure the child of Charasis.'

As Ixpacan starts his incantations, you can see an image begin to appear from the shadows.

Ixpacan says 'It's out of my control! Defeat it before it destroys us both!'

A Child of Charasis spawns. Kill it, loot it's remains, gthen turn it in to Ixpacan.

Ixpacan says 'I see now that I lack the skill necessary to control the Dark Arts. Maybe it would be wiser to allow another such as yourself continue forward. Please accept this token as a reward in your mastering of the Dark Arts.'

You now have the Demi Lich Skullcap!

This is currently a great way to make money on your server is by multiquesting these i have sold 7 of them so far 4 for 100k and the others ranging from 40-50k and there still selling! take it while its hot =D they all sold within aprox 1hr-2~Ravey~ 67Necromancer
