yelinaks emissary is not on yelinak faction. zlandicar is on zlandicar faction - only mob on it I know of. yelinak is on yelinak faction - only mob I know of on that faction also.

I posted under the task itsef, but figured people might want to know here as well. the "helms of giant warriors' task gives 2 points per storm giant toes, 6 points per giant warrior helm, 100 points for king tormax head and 2 points per frost giant toes.

Couldn't help but notice that Zlandicar was not on either list. Was he possibly left off accidentally? I realize he is considered to be a rogue/evil dragon, but it seemed to me like every blooming dragon on the game was on one of the lists.

what is an easy way to fix Yelinak faction?
I know, I know, KT/Vindi/statue raids, but what about solo?
How many of the mobs in the entry area of SS are on Yelinak faction,
or is that only a concern in deeper areas?
ie I am indiff to CoV, can I bank and do simple faction quests
to slowly work on my Yelinak faction between raid opportunities?

I think "Yelinak's Emissary" might be on Yelinak faction. at least he wasn't Ally like the rest, but I didn't get to Yelinak to compare factions.
When you start seeing an Aged Golem Sentinal mobs, go up ramp and to the left, and there emissary is right there (195,-730, 175) Not too long a run in from CS zone in.

It used to be possible to track Lord Yelinak from either the Sky Shrine zone in, or near to zone in. I remember being in the fountain room, or near it and doing that a year or more ago. But there was a change in tracking distance in Skyshrine, such that it is no longer possible to track Lord Yelinak from anywhere near zone in. In fact, you need to go through the maze, and be through the counter-clockwise ascending part of the long road to Yelinak, and past the first or second clik up balls to be able to track Lord Yelinak. What this means is that if you are kos to cov, you are going to spend about two hours fighting through the see invis mobs to get to a positition where you can track LY. And to be able to do this solo you are going to need a bunch of aa's and decent gear as a ranger. It might go quicker as a rogue with shroud of stealth or an FD class and flop your way in and do a visual check. There are just enough see invis mobs along the way to make plowing from the first see invis mob on seem like a good idea, rather than trying to deal with the numerous adds which you get with a single see invis mob who has a few friends near by. O, and I have three hundred tracking skill, which is max skill, and therefore max range.
Turning in helmets and toes is probably the quickest way to build yelinak faction solo. The toes that drop off the giants in GD qualify just the same as the ones from Kael. But, but far, Tormax gives the quickest faction boosts (but you probably already know that).

Ok, so you hunted here and are back to KOS or you never built your faction but need to or you just want to raise your faction up...

KOS? Be REALLY good friends with an Enchanter is all.
Emil is 37th level -- charmable by a 44th level with ease.
Eysa Florawhisper is 48th level -- again charmable but requires a 49th level Enchanter.
With your enchanter buddy in tow, you can do this quest repeatedly and get three factions back where you want them.
Tunarean Council -- Yelinak -- Claws of Veeshan
Thus, that PoG raid is repairable. So is the SS raid and WW, well giant thumping can get boring after a time <grin>.

I did this quest rather recently. When I turn in a letter to Emil, he dissapeared. I know he used to remain in his spot when you do this quest, but this quest is no-longer fast way to repair faction.
Start the quest again before finishing your current quest.
This way the you get overlapping respawn timers...

BTW, this is only for Tunarean Court faction (WL, getting TO PoG)
and does not help Servants of Tunare faction (inside PoG).

Does this faction need to be ally to get quest armor or do you only need ally faction with CoV? I am already MaxAlly with CoV and have done about 50 of the quests for Yelinak faction. If the armor does require Yelinak Ally faction, anyone know how many quests are needed to get there? Can this faction be tested even when Yelinak is not up?

You just have to love anonymous flamers. Mastered the "engish" language? I may be going out on a limb here by saying that you must not be the brightest bulb on the string. Do a spell check before you flame someone for poor spelling. Also did you ever consider the large european population that plays EQ? I'd venture a guess that most of them speak the language better than you do.

Which is the easiest quest to do to raise Yelinak faction?
do the spider leg quest, from sentry kael, its easy gives you a crappy ring and raises yeli faction as well as cov faction a fair bit.

You can give the toes and helms that drop off of giants in Kael to the two sentries just inside Skyshrine.

Just a note, if you die in skyshrine by a Yelinak mob because of your faction, the only way to get your corpse is to find someone with good Yelinak faction. Necro's have tried to summon in this zone and cannot unless there's some secret area where you can.
I've reead somewhere I think, that you can summon corpses only at the zoneline.. but idont know for sure =/

no... like all city rulers in velious you need to make some ( I mean lots ) of faction quests... like Frost Giant helm ones... the Kael Giants dont give this faction and you need it for the quests

On one of my accompaniments of a Kael raid, for the purposes of faction, we killed a couple of deep castle guards. He didn't affect Claws of Veeshan, but he did increase DainIV and Yelinak. So, there are at least some things to kill to increase the "good" kings factions of Velious.

I went way far into SS today. All the way to the big one himself, everything along the way was Warmly. Just Yellinak himself was KOS. Also anyone know where the guys are that give out the armor quests? I must have missed them along the way.

The armor guys are the 14 Fe'Dhar in the same room as the Supreme Commander. At warmly they will not talk to me (other than to tell me to get lost), guess you need ally level faction. I also saw the same thing you did, everything in Skyshrine was warmly except Yelinak himself, who was ready to attack...almost got too close because everything was warmly. I did not go inside the gated area were he is so I don't know if there are any other NPC's there on his faction.
As for raising Yelinak faction, doing both the giant helm and mercenary orders guest with Sentry Kcor give Yelinak faction gains. I've only done about 7 or 8 of these quests, so I guess I'll be doing alot more before I can greet the big guy without biting it.

The Storm Giant General, in the King Tormax area of Kael Drakkal gives Yelinak faction. Killing him yields the following faction adjustments:
Kromzek worse, King Tormax worse.
Lord Yelinak better, Dain Frostreaver IV better.

Currently I am indifferent to all the mobs in lower SS. We journeyed all the way to Yelinak last night and everything remained indifferent. Including the dragons in the pyramid room. Yelinak was the only thing that conned hostile to us. Even the huge gargoyle guardians just outside his lair conned indifferent to me. Word of warning: Yelinak sits on top of ice, so entering his lair could be dangerous, our cleric almost slid into his aggro range, but stopped in time. Got some great pics of Yelinak.

I'm amiable to all the residents until "Komawin Fe`Dhar scowls at you, ready to attack" very high in the tower. There is a room with a pyramid in the center and 6 or 8 wyvern to the left and right (well out of aggro range I believe). This beast is one of them. I suspect he and the rest of the room is on Yelinak faction. I did see others still further in that were "amiable" again.
The only time I've seen Yelinak faction go up is when I've complete a quest for a skyshrine resident. I guess I'll be doing many more.

Probly old news. but, was my first hunt in arena that i noticed that faction goes up there in Kael. Was a fun run going for some armor pieces for thurg quests. Not sure how to check my faction with this ugly. but i'm workin on it. will go to skyshrine soon as i hit lvl 56 or so.

I think another way to get faction with Yelinak is to kill some of the giants that are deep in the arena part of Kael Drakkel. It seems that King Tormax is opposite Yelinak, since he wants you to bring him Yelinak's head.

The only way I have found to raise yelinak is to do quests in SS... I believe I have +45 faction hits to Yelinak so far off of these quests. If they are like the CoV hits, figure on many more before I can venture into Yelinak's lair safely. Everything up to the mazes is all amiable, but leery of heading into the deeper areas until I have a Necro on for summon :-).

kill giants till you are not KOS to the lower residents of Skyshrine. Then you can do the quests they give to raise Yelinak faction. The lower residents are on ClawsOfVeeshan.
