Well, hit lvl 50 with my druid tonight on Al'Kabor and decided to reconcile my spell list. One site I was on read that you can buy Circle of Cobalt Scar, group teleport spell I'm missing. So I solo port into Cobalt Scar, take a few steps out of the hut, and blam! 500hps down, and all buffs gone. A few more steps yields me dying and losing lvl 50. Rats! I hope I can retrieve my corpse in the morning. Watch out for this guy.

For other druids, This guy may be tuff to melee, but i just brought him down as a 48 druid. used snare/dot, rooted him when i could though he resisted alot. I guess the key is not to get in close to him at all. He landed no spells on me, or melee atacks, had trash for loot. Used a full bar of mana. I used drifting death, Drones of Doom, and engulfing darkness, he never resisted a one. Happy Hunting!

Yeah, getting it. They sometimes weren't very creative. In Velk's Lab there is a rare called "Kerdelb" and another one called "Bledrek"...
My CoV faction is warmly, and I have killed wyvern and drakes out here with no problems from the named drake at all, he completely leaves me alone, but oddly enough the named wyvern will attack me if he sees me messing with his friends. Strange! I don't get it.../shrugs
I thought my 59 Druid was kindly to all birds in this place but not this one. I got a little too close and all of a sudden I had taken 500 dd and one of my buffs went away. Looked around and conned this one and was threatening (SP??) to it. I did not attack it I guess I just got too close. Well, SOE is fast enough to get away from it and succor out. When porting in make sure you get up track and locate this one to make sure you stay far away from it. I have really good faction with the other named one (Yvolcan ???). Avoid the named ones if you can, they are not nice when you upset them and I choose to avoid them.
I'm a 50 Druid and I've ported into CS several times for passengers with no problems. Well, this time, I got smacked upside my head by Az. Took me completely by surprise. I won't be doing this port again until i get my cov faction up *grin*
Does it spawn right at the zone-in or just nearby? Druid track doesn't tell me much.

Az can spawn as any of the 4 (5?) wandering Cobalt Drakes.
Like Yolcarn the named wyvern if yo ur CoV faction is ok he will leave you alone but if either sees you with aggro from a drake or wyvern they will attack you regardless of your CoV faction.
Another note: killing drakes and wyverns does not hurt your CoV faction but killing Azureake or Yolcarn WILL hit your CoV faction. (not sure how bad a hit).

i would have to agree with oblivionlord on the fact that this mob is a total undercon. i'm a 53 bard farming wyvern hides in CS atm, and i ran across this guy. he conned dark blue to me, so i decide to take him down (he a named drake, so i wanna see what kinda stuff he drops). well, i didn't take him down, and i'm glad they made selo's pretty fast, or i probably would've died. he chewed through about 3 or 4 pets before he finally got me down to 200 hp's and i ran off to skyshrine. sucks cuz i had to run all the way back through kael, and EW so i could buy a port to go back cuz i don't have a key. anyway, the nuke this mob uses drops a buff also, and i'd say he has around 8-9k hps from what my dots were doing to him. hope this helps someone out.

I took down Azureake just a bit ago. Conned DB to me, a 54 Druid. I had C3 and HOV. Used Form of the Howler and Levi. Snared him, rooted him and dotted him with Winged Death, Breath of Ro and Drifting death. He resisted Breath first and third time. Had to root him 2-3 times. It was suprisingly easy. He did not hit me once. He only dropped 1 pp and some change. Must of been my lucky day. I took down the named Wyvern right after that (unintentionally got to close to him and decided to fight it out).

MAJOR undercon - was ported to cs by dru guildie - this moron showed up and i was dead inside 10 secs - i am lvl 50 shammy - couldn't get a single spell off
As a level 54 druid, I decided to see what loots he dropped. Have slaughtered him multiple times, so I will impart the information I gathered to you.
He will resist root about 50% of the time, but never resisted snare. So, the smart hunter will snare first, then run / root.
One rooted, drop DOTs on him. I use Breath of Ro and Winged death on him. He will resist the Breath about 25% of the time, never resisted Winged death on me. It will take 4 runs of Breath / Winged to kill him, and you will need to drop another root on him about half way through.
The rewards? First, a minor faction hit with CoV. Have killed him 4 times and have not had my faction drop off of warmly yet. For me he has each time dropped a spell (levels 39 - 45), has dropped a drake pelt. Twice he dropped quest gems, three times a normal gem, and a couple of pieces of vendor trash.
So, he is worth killing, if you have the mana. I have 255 wis with KEI, and use at least 3 bubs of mana, more if he is resisting hard.
Hope this helps the would be Azureake killers out there.

just 30 min's ago killed him with my 51 Druid ooc to see if he can be root noone said anything so i did it hid KEI and got about 6 Resists off him he hit me 2 times 1 of 500 and one for 297 i resists 3 of his was 30% mana when i was done not as bad as i read somewhere got a spell off him to wiz 's going to look it up now
anyone know what the repop time is on azureake?
he is real easy for a 60 wizzy to solo so i killed him once but i want to know when he will pop again.
any help with repop times would be great

Yvolcarn hurts faction..i soloed him at 54 druid uing ONLY "Fury of Air" spell (lvl 34). i used it because it does 250dmg, stuns for 2.5 seconds, and has a fast cast time. Without KEI thi would not have been possible...and i had 255wis at the time of this miracle. i think sometime during my strugge someone threw a Starfire on him...but i didnt care.
this was one helluva solo kill for lil' ol' druid me =). AGAIN: Yvolcarn does give factions hits with CoV, Yelinak, and Kromzek!

The named wyvern does not hurt your faction just the named drake, killed both last night man that drake is a doosie of a mob think it could prolly take naggy, lol
naggy would waste az. dregen and a fire ae!

Soloed this guy on my friend's 52 necro account, not hard at all, just lots of hp. Maybe he was nerfed or something, but unlike Yvolc, he CAN be snared, and I had NO resists whatsoever in the fight.
Casted cascading darkness, then backed up and casted invoke fear, then sent 49 pet in, pet was augmented. I had Lich up, and casted Plague, E-bolt, Splurt, Ignite Blood, and Bond of Death on him. Sat down for a bit. Fear wore off once, re-casted it and watched pet beat the crap out of him with 6 dots, 7 if you count fear, eating away at his life.
Around the end of the fight, dots were wearing off, and I recasted Cascading Darkness again so he wouldn't run everywhere while feared. By the time all of my dots wore off, I recasted fear at about when Azure was at 4% health so he wouldn't get a chance to cast his AE/dispell attack. I blasted him once with a lifetap to finish him to end the fight.
Easy fight overall, no resists at all, has quite a few hp, and as a 52 necro I came out of the fight with 20m and full health. Maybe he was nerfed or something because I read a post about how he was unsnareable and very hard to beat, /shrug easy kill...but lots of hp.

This guy or the named Wyrven cant be snared so druids beware for named spawns there extremly powerful but dont drop anything specail unless that drop YOU

i was liching one day down on the beach and some dumbass brought this to close to me, i was amiable at the time and got hit with his aoe i had about 512 hp's going caus of lich effect almost damn near killed me, and then the prick has the nerve to say get my pet off of it.
