Hidden in the bowels of Broken Skull Rock lies the Crypt of Nadox. The tomb of the ancient Troll shaman Nadox is hidden within these caverns bearing his name. Filled with various shrines and temples to honor the god of the Broken Skull Clan, the crypt is a dangerous place to any who venture there. Only the most powerful of the clan are allowed into the crypt, and they guard the area with fierce devotion.

Bloodspear the Fallen.

this is who came up after i killed High Priest Bloodspear while attempting temple event.

forgot to get a screenshot, he was laying on the floor beside the lever to exit the temple.

i had killed him middle of room, when he died, this model popped up on the stage thing where lever is, and he was laying down. /tarb blood, targeted darkblue bloodspear(temporary)

went back today and did some playing around with it again, seems i wasnt patient enough last time i guess.

cleared the cathedral of all mobs, except bloodskull, waited a minute for adds to pop, but they didnt, killed bloodspear, upon death he says "You do not know what you have done. You will die for disturbing the ceremony!" corpse depopped and new mob spawned Bloodspear the Fallen on the stage laying down non targetable, along with Grand Spiritist Lokfan who shouted "Zerksa' Gornrid tor arkdal! Arise from your slumber, great Bloodspear! Deiral kon Laverh!". 2 A Cathedral Protector and 1 a Broken Skull Spiritist(which is not listed currently.) spawned on the stage i pulled and killed the 2 protectors, then the spiritist, upon the spiritists death Protector x4 spawned, and 2 spiritists. pulled and killed the protectors first then the spiritists last, upon the last spiritists death, protector x6 spawned and spiritist x3 spawned. i ae pacied and pulled and killed one, by this time temple was respawning and being an enchanter i got over run and had to zone.

i assume this is an event to spawn Bloodspear the Wretched but was unable to finish it, but this would make sense being as how you killed him and it is some kind of ressurection ceremony.

end result of this event is indeed Bloodspear the Wretched.

got wizzard friend to come with me to help kill after the 9 pop, last of the 9 guys dropped the wretched popped on stage, agroed almost immediately.

http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=11610 is the trigger mob to start the event. temple does not need to be cleared(but would suggest it). as soon as he dies, 3 mobs pop on stage, when they die, 6 mobs, final wave after them is 9 mobs. then wretched.

RE: New Mob

A Shady Smuggler is for the new DoN missions in Hates Fury. You need to find 'A Shady Merchant' first, his location is neg 459, pos 1887.
RE: New Mob
# May 13 2005 at 10:51 AM Rating: Decent
Only 1 person in the group has to have the dialogue with the "a shady merchant". The "a shady merchant" looks like a luggald model. Watch out for the "see invis" mob that is close to him. If you stand next to the merchant you won't have a problem, but be right next to him.

However, everyone in the group has to hail the "a shady smuggler". After you go through the short dialogue he will send each member of the group in to an instanced zone. You will be ported to the front of the ship, next to another "a shady smuggler".

A few short notes about the mission itself. The first part is finding the "a shady smuggler", who can be found on the docks on the last left-side platform before Hate's Fury zone in.

The second part is finding out who the next navigator is going to be. Kill the "broken skull helmsman" where the Ralo the Black gnome is in the regular zone (after you zone in, go down the steps, go through the map room, and its the first room on the right). The helmsman drops a "log's page" which states that the new navigator is going to be "grimzak" (sp?).

The third part of the mission is to find "grimzak". We called it a night before we found him.

There are a 4th and 5th parts yet to the mission.

*******
Miscellaneous Notes:

Underneath the "rewards" section for completing the mission, there was no mention of crystals.

At level 68 regular experiance was pretty poor. All mobs on track conned dark blue to me.

We had no slower, but the cleric had no problem keeping our paladin alive.

Mobs seemed to generally have about 30-35khp.

About 1/3 were undead, and the luggalds were casters.

We never had more then 1 add, and a mage pet was sufficient to keep him busy.

Our group was composed of 2 mages, cleric, paladin and a druid. We were all level 66+.

Fun return to an old haunt, I hope the end reward makes it worth it.

We found the ship's log page on one of the rats, so it may be a random drop off anything in the zone. Our Cleric's cable modem died before we found Grimzek, however.

The note we found was labeled "A Ship's Log Page," and it read as follows.

"New navigator acquired today. Noted in the crew logs as Grimzek. There remains some doubt as to the truth of this name."

I'm a rogue with SOS and I explored the entire zone safely without ever seeing any mobs named Grimzek, but it may be that he was there but labeled as something else and would be revealed as Grimzek by a note on another mob or something. Or maybe we needed to kill more mobs before he would spawn.

Or ... well, I don't know.

Anybody?

:)

Just looted an item here called a "Torn cloth eye patch" Can't seem to find any information anywhere on it, seems like it would be for a quest. I believe it was a magic item, but not no drop or lore. Anyone know?

Thanks

I think the levels are still a bit off for a fair number of the mobs here.

Some I have noticed recently:

Sanctum Sentinels and Sanctuary Sentinels are all blue to a 50.

Adherents are white and yellow at 51.

Soaked Crewman all blue at 51 (exactly 50 I think)

Animated Mercenary seems to be level 56

The reason it did not work seems fairly obvious too me. They are not summoned. Therefore it is not nerfed but reflects the zone more accurately.

They have been "nerfed" as non-summoned after a patch. Real shame that.
Pathing change for the Elementals
# Apr 30 2004 at 8:53 PM Rating: Decent
Since last patch, have noticed the Elementals in the lava area take a more direct route to target than before. If you where use to the Elementals travelling in the same arcing route along the "rocks" by the Gunthak zone line, it seems to have changed. I have noticed that when I pull the Elementals now take a direct route to my position by the zone line. Can be a real pain when my earth pet roots one behind a bigger "rock" platform and you get the "Cannot see you target" message. Good Hunting.

Not a crypt
# Feb 06 2004 at 7:54 PM Rating: Default
If this is a crypt, why are there so few undead?

Nothing here is Necro DC-able. Looks like nothing is Druid DC-able either. Lame.
RE: Not a crypt
# Feb 28 2004 at 3:23 PM Rating: Decent
It's a crypt because it's the final resting place of Spiritseeker Nadox, who is undead. It's inhabitants are followers of Innoruuk who chose the crypt to take up residence... the fact that there are not a lot of undead does not mean it's not a crypt.

RE: Druid Dire Charm??

Nope. The smallest animal is bloodtusk swine, and it is around 50. Piggies are the only animals in the zone. CoK works on the lower end Piggies.
A Luggald Ambassador
# Sep 02 2003 at 7:00 AM Rating: Decent
Any idea what this is? Noticed it isn't listed here. It was up in the hallway behind the lower luggald room, stood there. We had a small group at the time, 64 shaman / 55 paladin / 56 wizard / 61 monk / 56 warrior, so we figured we'd give it a try, moved into the room behind, started clearing it, but didn't get far, aggro'd a couple too many apprentices, ended up just evacing to be safe.

Maybe this guy's old news, sure many others've seen him, whats he for?

Appearance was the robed luggald model. Was holding a dagger.

New mob: A burdened Bloodtusk
# Aug 04 2003 at 3:21 PM Rating: Good
Killing in the bloodtusk caves there was a zone wide message something along the lines of:

"Suddenly you hear the walls of the caves echo with tundering hooves"

"A burdened Bloodtusk" is now on track, and I caught him comming from the most SE corner of the caves wandering straight to me.

Killed him (droped junk) and nothing happened except that crew cheif Hanserif spawned about a min later along with spritcharmer hargotaz, both in the caves.

This is the second time I've got the burdened bloodtusk to spawn and the first time I've gotten to him. The first time he despawned in about 10 minutes.

This guy isn't on the list either. Cons dark blue to lvl 57. Pops in the room with Elder Shaman Elgruk. I call it the Stone Worshipers Room, because when you kill the mobs there, the say "My Life for the Stone". My 60 Beastlord partner and I mow through these mobs.

Was in Nadox with 9 friends average lvl 59, we were there to kill the Broodmother. We were clearing around the rooms etc ... And dunno how but innoruk spawned in the room behind broodmother spot !!!

We pulled him to check his stats and it was the real one. It seems to be a script but didnt understood how we started the script.

Here are 2 screens :

We can add it to the zone, and if someone got infos on that, it would be great, thanks.

Holy cow, were you all able to kill him, or did you wipe or camp. Just curious what the loot table was and if it was indeed Inny. That would certainly be a shocking development...lol
RE: Innoruk in Nadox
# Aug 26 2003 at 7:13 PM Rating: Decent
Never mind.

Indeed, Innoruuk spawns there. Like someone mentioned below, at the Luggald High Priest...we only killed 2 apprentices, we stood around trying to figure out what to make of this indifferent Luggald, and suddenly he summoned Innoruuk. He gave us a good thrashing, given that there were only 3 of us. Rematch pending.

And made no difference how much money I was carrying so no idea how it works.
