someone gave (was using a short sword) me one of these when i was a lvl 8 rogue (newbie) i am now a lvl 13 (newbie). but i didn't know how great the thing was at the time he gave it to me. i can't wait till i get to a higher lvl and get something better and can give it to another newbie.

The delay on this weapon is now 38. Damage is still 10.

These weapons are good for one of two things.
1. Sell them to merchants for no more than about 7 plat.
2. Sell them to low level characters looking for a low cost first or second upgrade from their original newbie weapon for a bit more than the merchant offers. This weapon, or the Zraxthril Forged Flamberge (which has fairly similar stats) would actually be fairly decent weapons for an untwinked character up to perhaps their late teens or early twenties.

The Zraxthril Forged Axe was nerfed in today's patch. Delay on the weapon rose from 31 to 38. That significantly reduces the effectiveness of the weapon and consequently its value.

hah!!!! nice pic of Alex Zivinovich:)).
It might be wrong or even stupid to ask, but do you really need to have LoY for this weapon? I am asking because I bought one at the bazaar yesterday :o) it works well and I do not have LoY installed (nor downloaded). So whats the fuzz?

Allakhazam's Whatever_Expasion_Needed: Yes tags are a bit confusing.. what they mean is you need LoY to get into the zone where these drop.. but anyone can use em. =)

I had the misfortune to die horribly courtesy of a hill giant recently and, in so doing, lost (don't ask me how, it just dissapeared from my corpse) a Zraxthril Forged Cutlass.
A quick trip to the Bazaar and I picked up one of these, which is an upgrade (on DMG at least) for 15pp.
It works well in conjunction with my Blackened Alloy Longsword.

At level 42 the mobs that drop all of the Zrxthril forged weapons are all dark blue, yellow and in some cases red to me.
Level 35 to attain?
Not by soloing or grouping with other level 35's. Does this mean level 35 to attain by... buying or getting as gift? might as well be level 1 then.

Why, I might ask, would a group of 6 lvl 35's not be able to beat a mob that is dark blue to a 42?
Heck, the minotaur hero still conned dark blue to my druid at lvl 48, and I killed him solo at lvl 32.
My Warrior (35 at the time), grouped with 3 others, all lvl 34-37 killed a steady stream of mobs in DL, some of which conned red to me, and from the earlier chars I levelled in DL, some still conned red at 42.
No, a level 35 probably couldn't solo the mobs, unless it was a druid, wizard, or maybe a necro. But a group of decently equyipped lvl 35s, could certainly hunt in gulf of gunthak, and kill the mobs that drop this.
