Just bought this one on FV for 10k, works well for me at lower lvls =)

most everything on FV besides extremely high end gear is droppable including quest pieces.
Sweet dagger!!
# Jun 03 2003 at 8:50 AM Rating: Good
A pretty sweet little dagger, especially for Beastlords.

13/23 vs normal
14/23 vs Luggalds
The proc "Miasma" deals 300 damage over 90 seconds.

The dagger is easily obtainable at L50+ if you have some help from 1-3 people your level, the only really tough fighting part is the oversized skeleton at the end, and even he can be taken down pretty easily by a low 50's group, my lowest level BST (L54 Kitty) comfortably did him with help from a L51 Druid, L42 Cleric and L43 BST. Looking at the log of the fight I calculated I could have done him fairly effectively with just the L51 Druid helping -- but better safe than sorry.

Umm, it says 9 counters doing 20 points a tick, wouldn't it be 180 damage in 54 seconds? 9x20=180; 9x6=54; I've always been bad at math though maybe I'm wrong.
RE: Sweet dagger!!

9 Counters means it needs a spell that will remove up to at least 9 counters of the type of spell cast on the target.
In this case disease.
Counteract Disease removes just 8 disease counters, so you would need to cast the spell twice to remove this particular spell off a target.
The shaman / cleric spell Abolish Disease removes 36 counters. This spell would remove it in one cast.

Looks Like

What does this thing look like? A board with nails in it?
still good weapon for a rogue
# Apr 14 2003 at 1:49 PM Rating: Good
You dont have to be 55 to get this weapon. Just have guildies help you do quest. This is a good rogue weapon if aquired at lower lvl, especially since doesnt have a recommended lvl, as does the bile drenched gouche everyone has.

As for the drops, they are totally random, in my case i got the 3 from dulak in under an hour, but took 3 times as long to get the ones in nadox. oh well,

You are all idiots

If you didn't notice this is NOT 1hs it IS piercing so it ISN'T pointless for beastlords!

*chuckles* I love people that flame and end up looking like idiots themselves. When this and the other equivalent were first posted, they were listed as 1hs weapons.

Then they did a little thing called "update"... so the old posts about the 1hs don't apply.

Way to go ;)
Odd that they let Beastlords use this one
# Mar 17 2003 at 4:02 PM Rating: Default
Hmmm, I think they put the Beastlord class on this one by mistake, considering they have no skill with one hand slash. Otherwise, it looks like a fairly decent weapon for the ones who can use it. Fast, decent damage and extra STR and HPs are always useful to a Melee class Smiley: smile

Unfortunately, at the level recommended to get this on Alla (which, admittedly, is not always accurate), this weapon is quite poor. It's useless for a Bard, the damage is sub-par for a Rogue/Ranger at this level, and the taunt would be very low (the DoT is barely worth mentioning, and there's no DD component to it - not even the Disease check would add enough taunt) for a Warrior. Personally, I think they should have just scrapped this weapon, and left the ring (5 AC 5 STA 5 WIS 5 INT 55 HP 45 Mana, and a couple saves) as the sole reward for the quest. It would be much more useful.

Solid group of 45-50's can do this quest, nadox mobs might be a little tough, but the drop off them is pretty common.

Got this sword for my 53 sk, just for the hell of it, it's a fun sword to have (his main is the Malevolence Artifact).

Got the ring for my Cleric which also isn't too bad.

The Dulak drops are more rare than the Nadox, but the mobs in Dulak are easier.

Ah, good point Drienne. Wasn't really paying attention to the attainment level. At a guess, they put this in as one of the quest rewards so you run the risk of having to redo it more than once if you're after the ring. Too bad they made this item useable by Beastlords and not the ring, mine could have used that item. Smiley: frown
