The Plane of Disease festers like a pustule in the planar spheres, the embodiment of all that is wretched. The land itself in this realm is made of spongy, putrefying flesh riddled with boils and inflamed blisters like hills, infected open wounds like canyons.

Thick black hairs grow like trees from the decaying ground. A river runs slowly and thickly with bodily wastes and fluids through the land, frothing and scabbing along its banks. The air hangs as a stagnant mix of poisonous and pestilent vapors that showers this horrid realm with a rain of bile.

A host of creatures infest this land of perpetual degeneration. Arachnids, rats and larvae scuttle, scurry and squirm across the land's surface or below it in caves. Flymen and Malarians prowl the bubbling swamps. The plane's most prominent denizen is the god of disease himself, Bertoxxulous the Plaguebringer.

Level 46 is required to enter the zone without a key on the live servers.

GRYME'S CRYPT KEY
# May 24 2011 at 11:35 AM Rating: Decent
I killed Gryme today triple boxing, using a 66 pally with a cleric merc, 68 druid with a tank merc, and a 62 cleric with caster merc. Pretty easy. Had trouble with the key until I read post. Stand by door and press U that opened the door. Ok off to explore the castle. Peace.

Decaying Lightcrawler
# Dec 20 2004 at 10:48 AM Rating: Decent
We found what appears to be a new MOB here that is called, a Decaying Lightcrawler. He conned Red to a Level 68. Our warrior tried to pull it, but only took two steps and was killed faster than you can down mama's best homemade pie. He sits on top of a hill, just a bit further from the zone in, past the house where Grummus hangs his hat. I can not find out any information about this guy. Does anyone have any knowledge concerning him?

Do not root the mobs in the water
# May 10 2004 at 10:05 AM Rating: Decent
I was root dotting flies with my 61 Druid and I rooted one in the water and I could cast on it, dots and dd cast, but the fly did not go down in health and it actually started to have it's health increase. I think the water (goo or whatever it is) prevents damadge to the mobs.

No, when casting a spell on a mob in water, you also need to be in the water for it to hit. Which means you either need to get in and get your feet wet for your spells to work, or wait for root to break and come out of water after you.

I was pulling a malarian gall from the north side of the peanut shaped island (just north of the zone in/out) and got a Carrion Larva add. This mob pulled from under the water, and dropped "a pod of diseased earth" and an ethereal parchment.

BUt we got him to abot 40% and he is enraging on everyone just hitting for 500 to 1100... THen we get about 6 or 7 adds to us and we get whipped..
