Solo'ed this on a level 60 beastlord. I had a J1 merc and was only self buffed. he is my main so I dont have great gear or AA's other than autogrant. I failed the first time due to mana running out. Second time i used recovery AA and boosted myself as much as possible with all AA cooldown abilities that would help and beat it easily with a lot of wiggle room. Felt pretty good :) a nice challenge.
I only share this to testify that it can be done since the last posts were 12+ years ago so a lot has changed

just did this item on my 72 bst 1568 AA took about 30 min from zoning into plain of disease to completion fight with named spider took about 5 min
Just wanted to let you know this piece cannot be soloed at least lvl 75 bst was not able to, however it can be duo'ed 75 bST and 70 shammy have some ITU potions ready too. but easily can kill key guy for door key then when up in spiders room your going to have to pull the whole room behind spider which i believe is like 4 or 5 mobs /pets . pets are really just a neusense. once those mobs are dead walk past spider she is perma rooted so will only get a few attacks on you before you get thru hallway kk once in room that you just pulled there is an alcove back there that goes to antoehr room in that alcove is where Roaring grass spawns you can then pick it up and gate out. doing this solo I dont see happening you would at least need a healer or maybe even a FD puller to pull that room so you can pick up grass another thing you can do is run in you will agro all mobs pick up grass if it is there and then die .. but once you got it dont matter.. and KEy holder is a bugger without a healer type..

In objection to the first post above, getting this item can in fact be solo'd. I did so as a 71 beastlord (buffed at 16k hp, 11k mana, 2.2k ac) Non-raider, but since my post is over a year later than his, I have the blackburrow leather gear and such.. only 62 AA as well.

the spider does summon we tried this with my monk friend having the agro even (except for mobs behind the spider and i wasnt paying attention 2 life so idk if it was life agro or grass agro) but the point is unless u plan 2 solo the spider ur going 2 need help with the roaring grass

is there a way for a BL that has 4.3 k hp unbuffed/4.6 k mana to get the piece in Po Disease without a group or raid force?it's the only piece i still need to make the helm.
Good question...any information would be helpful. Have tried using gobbie rogue shroud, but the outside of the castle has "Sentry" spell or somesuch. Even though the magus' con indifferent, once you get within a certain distance from them, they attack.

Helm of the Feral is used if you DO have the 1.0

Correction... the Helm of the Feral is required whether you've done the 1.0 or the bypass quest. You don't get the Letter from Muada 'til you've finished it, and can't continue on it.
