Brood of Kotiz

The Iksar Necromancers in Cabilis West are known as the Brood of Kotiz.

The easiest way to gain faction with them is to slay the Outcast Iksar of the Forsaken faction. They are closely linked to the faction of the rest of the Iksars.

The following quests require Brood of Kotiz faction

Quest Name Minimum Faction Required Maximum Faction Allowed
Necromancer 8th Rank Amiable

Zones in which you can raise the faction

Zones in which you can lower the faction

NPCs you can kill to raise the faction

Quests you can do to raise the faction

NPCs you kill to lower the faction

Quests you do to lower the faction

Why not just sneak/hide if you are a rogue.

First off Verant removed the faction cap a few patches back so you can now raise your faction with these guys by questing or with the troopers by killing mobs even if you used to not get faction from doing so. Second off the bone chips quest along with watcher torches, sarnak brains, scorpion pincers, etc all give the same factions it's just that bone chips are stackable and you can even turn them in 16 at a time by dropping stacks of 4 in all four trade slots with the trooper, this makes it the preferred quest for such a huge faction change.

All the guards with names Trooper something along with the Warrior NPCs are on Legion of Cabilis faction.
All the guards with names Crusader something EXCEPT Quarg along with all the Shadow Knight NPCs are on Crusaders of Greenmist faction.
Crusader Quarg and all the Shaman NPCs are on Scaled Mystics faction, you can tell Quarg is with the shaman because he is part of one of their quests even though he IS a shadow knight.
Swifttails is the faction of all the Monk NPCs
Brood of Kotiz is the Necromancers in West Cabilis along with a few Iksar NPCs in East Cabilis.

Troopers can be raised by killing Sarnak and Goblins in many Kunark Zones.
Brood of Kotiz can be raised by killing outcast/forsaken/etc iksars in many Kunark Zones.
The rest can only be raised with quests, the best source for this being the bone chips quest in Field of Bone.

Also to note different class/race/religion combos seem to have different starting factions with each of the Cabilis factions in as much as an Agnostic Woodelf Bard will have lower faction with Scaled Mystics than with Crusaders while a Dark Elf Necromancer Cazic wil have lower faction with Crusaders than with Scaled Mystics.

Not quite, Quarg is on Brood of Kotiz faction, I am dubious with the Scaled Mystics (shaman), and Quarg still scowls at me. He is not on shaman faction.

Thank you for that post, was exactly what I was looking for. I'm sure that I'm far behind everyone else in faction, but I've wanted to be allowed in Cabilis seince I started playing. All my friends think its a waste of time, but, well, all my friends can bind themselves. I didn't really hunt in the LoIO very long, only a few lvls, but I managed to bring myself up to doubious with all the Troopers. I walked my rogues happy **** to the FoB, to kill all the Iksar bandits and such, for necro faction, and to do the bone chip quest, but that quest isn't as easy as it sounds. Considering the only way to raise faction with the Crusaders and Quarg is by these quests, and they wander around, past the Tooper you give the bone chipps to. But, I'll get it done, gunna take me awhile, but I'll do it. I've almost memoized there pattern, that and I play on a network with friends, so I have my friend log on his Iksar monk, and stand on the trail and tell me when he sees them. They have a strange pattern, and though I'm not for sure, I think It's a new one. My first char was an Iksar, and I don't recall any of the guards wandering up to the top floor of the ruins, where the merchants are. I was damn certin that they didn't, but when I told that to my corpse, well, he didn't want to listen. That ******* Quarg hit me for 7, 27, and 24, then the f'er HT'd me, I was loading with three full bubbles of life left, that was a rush. Anyways, the crusaders wander around the perimiter of the ruins, then around the buildings, then they stand in the entrence to Cabilis for a bit, and do it all over again. Theres also a trooper that wanders, I belive he's the only guard that goes out into the newbie area. I tried turning in 16 chips, 4 stacks of 4, but I took one faction hit =\, so that apparently got changed. It's gunna take a crap-ton of bone chips, but Ima do it, and ima kick it in Cabilis for a while, hehe, its a trade skill heaven, though, I think Thurgadin is better, but oh well, they don't like much, and I can't just go out and kill giants for factions, so, well, hehe, I guess I'll keep it up.

Oh, and if anyone reading don't know already, those ruins, with the zone to Kaesora, that have the wandering skelleton, Targishin, that is now a bind spot, and that doufy looking half elf NPC is just there to inform you of it, as near as I can tell, and also is not kos to the Iksar.

Well, its time for me to shut the f up (|:o)~
