Solusek Ro, The Burning Prince with his crown of flame and spear of fire rules the Plane of Flame from his mighty Burning Tower. Fire Elementals, Efreeti, and an assortment of other fire loving planar creatures inhabit Solusek's endless kingdom of blazing landscapes under a burning red sky filled with clouds of smoke, smoldering embers, and fiery rain.

The mortals attribute Solusek with such acts as the raising of the Serpent's Spine Mountains and the destruction of Eldarr Forest, creating the Deserts of Ro and changing the face and history of Norrath. Does this deity, revered by powerful wizards throughout Norrath, serve the will of his father, the mysterious greater god Fennin Ro, Tyrant of Fire and Lord of the Plane of Fire ?
Or does Solusek Ro serve his own destructive and power hungry cause ?


Level 57 is required to enter the zone without a flag on the live servers.

A small but brilliant ball of light begins to engulf his cupped hands. When the light recedes you see the key reformed as if it had never been broken. 'Here you go. Now be off with you! Your destiny awaits.' As you walk away you notice a twinkle in his eye and a slight but mischievous smile across his face. It is not until sometime later that you realize that Neerin wasn't nearly as wounded as you remember when you first met him.'

I did not receive more message and any item. /key and flag message didn't change any.

After a few days, My necro try to enter to Lair of Solusek Ro. But I could not enter with message that 'You do not meet the requirements for entering that zone.'.

Aggro range in this zone is huge. Went there to have a break from OoW zones and see how it was... Pulled the two wanderers no problem - definitely easier than level 65 mobs in OoW.

The enchanter then went to try to pacify one of the two mobs by one of the doors, but they aggroed before she was in spell range (pacification has range 200).

She now has Aneuk Vision (+20% range) so we were thinking of trying again.

Does anyone know if 240 range will be enough to pacify without getting aggro?

Edit: Although I've just realised that Pacify spells are flagged as "beneficial" (for some reason), so Aneuk Vision ain't gonna help much :)

I sent my chanter in there last night...as far as I know I do not have an extended range item on...and I was able to pull a single from the guards. It was just a matter of staying close to the wall and taking very small steps until paci would take...

I am an enchie and use Wand of the Ice Storm which has extended range on it and have never had a problem getting singles from zone in all the way to Jiva's door in his tower.

When 2 are near, approach at an angle, paci closest, then pacify 2nd closest, then pull the first one.

Most mobs in this zone are mezzable so just pretarget and mezz the second on on the pull. Can usually pull and get only one or two if carefull.

Has anyone actually found a way to get alt access to chamber? I tried farming the 3 parts and I know a guildee who killed all 5 minis after alt access to Sol Ro, but no chamber..

With the new quest for access to SolRo Tower, what would be the progression needed to be elemental flagged assuming no back-flagging? So far, I haven't seen anything on this topic yet. With the access to the tower can everything be bypassed except killing the 5 minis in SolRo and RztW for access to air, earth and water and then SolRo for fire access? I was wondering if this is correct or am I overlooking something?

The only way to have access to the elemental planes is to either progress as you had before the alternate access was available or kill the god in the zone. ie. if you kill Fennin Ro, you no longer need to be willed in to the plane of fire, or if you kill xegony, you will be allowed into the plane of air without will in. remember, the intent of alt access quests was not to make it so that anyone can get into certain zones, it was to enable people in EP/Time guilds to access the zone without missing the 85%/15% cut.

There is a new mob here called "A sun lord". I think he was lvl 70, he was red at 67. He dropped "First Part of Solusek's Key". Found him in the room with the stone to get in the tower you get to by taking all rights from zone in.

i heard about this thing to get solro flagged, by killing abnished efreeti in WW and giving its heart to a drake in tranq this i have done and solro tower appears to be mt tomb >< ah well i guess thats what u get for being curious, ive only done MB raid poj trials and AD, i guess zones with no OZ best left to raiding pros eh? ah well, it gives my necro new light in playing

There is a different quest for access to Sol Ro's tower. Talk to the new drake outside of PoFire (Ronar Flametip) and he sends you to WW to collect a heart from an Efreeti there. This new npc is problaby to do a quest for access to Sol Ro's chamber.

a guy named "Neerin" is in the northwest corner of main zone in room, cons blue to 67, when hailed says "I have nothing for you right now. Be gone from my sight!", he cons indiff to me regularly and in wolf form, and does not attack, probably for alternate sol ro access

Until now, one could never be 100% sure what the mobs levels were. Just that they were 68 or beyond since they were red to 65's. Now, with 70, we're going to find some mobs we thought were 70, but may have been higher.

Set up camp just below the middle ramp that goes to solro chamber and jiva stairs... 2boxed these guys and the guards and roamers.

What I got, only 2boxing, in 7 hours:
2 ornate helm mold
1 ornate greaves mold
1 ornate vambraces mold
2 ornate chain helm pattern
2 ornate silk bracelet pattern
1 ornate silk sleeve pattern

No lie... camped it 8/29/04 for 7 hours and got all that. I'd reccommend this camp to anyone. The focus of sol seemed to have about the same drop rate as the guards for ornate, but were a lot faster to kill. Bring someone to dispel them if you plan to camp there, they have a decent damage shield that they instantly cast upon spawning just like the lava guardians in solb. Also, every mob at or near that camp summons except the little dc mephit on the right.

by far the best nate farmin day I've ever had. I would also say that my results are not typical. I usually get 1-2 pieces in 7 hours.

The other day in The Tower we killed The Protector of Dresolik, and 4 "warders of Dresolik spawned back one room from The Protectors, (farther away from the pot). We were there for the flag so we ignored them, but I was wondering if anyone knew what they were for? It seems odd to me that there are 3 types of mobs which are guards for some guy named Dresolik but he is not in the game. I thought maybe you keilled the 4 warders and he would spawn but im not sure. Any info would be appreciated.

Warders are there to keep others from sneaking up and taking flag - they'll DT anyone who goes near them.

The Dresolik is the stone in the center of the room, it holds a part of the power of the elemental plane of fire that was siphoned by Solusek.

The entrance to zone in is at the stone circle (through the archway just past Plane of Justice) in Plane of Tranquility. It is the center stone.. the one to the left of Halls of Honor. EQ Toolbox released new maps a few weeks ago, very accurate.

there are quite a few post here on what flaggs u need to get in most people looking at it should know what they need but one thing that is never mentioned is the location of the zone in?,u cant zone out unless u kill sol ro but wheres the in door?

Came across this guy today while exp'ing here. He has the red devil graphic. He hit me(65 wiz) a few times. Lowest was for 205, highest was for 843
We got him down to 70% then MT died & we evac'd. Group was 65 Wiz(me), 65 Bard, 65 Druid, 65 Pally, 65 BL, & 65 Ranger.
Anyone have any info. on what he drops?

Killed Zrexul today, 02/14/04, dropped Phosphorous Powder and a Spectral Parchment for us. Had 65 warrior, 65 paladin, 65 cleric, 65 enchanter, 65 magician and 65 necromancer for the kill. He uses the AoE Curse of the Fiend like most of the other Fiends in Sol Ro.

To enter this "plane" you need saryrn, bertoxx, mith marr, Keeper of Sorrows, Carprin, Grummus, Terris Thule, Hedge Maze, PoJ trial, HoH trials, Manaetic Behemoth, Vallon Zek, Tallon Zek/

Ornate armor has a chance to drop from every mob in the zone, only thing that doesn't drop are robes/BPs.

All the mobs summon, most aren't rootable/snareble, most are mezzable/charmable, they hit 600-700ish, about like kriegers in BoT, slowable.

Towers can be good exp if you have the group to do them with, some of the mobs in them hit quite hard and/or AE, so beware.

The only zone out in this zone is after killing Solusek Ro, a trap door opens that either zones you into PoFire, or 20ks you, depending on if you are flagged or not.

Mobs are about 3/4 blue aa per kill, or 3%. the yardtrash, give or take depending on the mob con.

Was told all mobs now summon in this zone, and is no longer soloable? is this true, any help is appreciated.

Pretty much everything summons. There was an exploit what allowed people to nuke from a spot and not get hit, so they changed it so that everything summons. Potentially you could still solo it as a mage or chanter charming an elemental, but it'd be your *** when the charm breaks. Best thing to do is bring a decent group, once slowed a single group can take about 4 mobs at once depending on their capabilities.

You get about 1 AA per hour there steady killing at 65.

Nothing there can be snared, most if not all are immune to root. Most things you will come across grinding will be mezzable.

It is sad reading this considering that in the new Serpents Spine expansion you can solo red level 75 mobs all day.

Why would anyone want to go to these old zones with such unforgiving mobs?
