I was wondering through the Paneel Porch and somehow this guy aggroed on me. When I turned to see who was killing me, it was this skeleton named Azzar Habib's pet. It didn't take long to down my 18 Ranger (now 17. Thanks!!).

ok you guys, I know he nukes for 150 some odd and such but really that does NOT mean hes an undercon. He is simply using a necro spell OF HIS LEVEL called shock of poison so he isnt an undercon just yer typical lv 25 necro npc

This guy is indeed level 25.
Also: Deepwater faction is improved when killing him, so those of you doing FA epic quest, he is fair game. Found him upstairs from newbie guards in Paineel.

I have been attacked by this guy and his pet. At level 22 I could easily beat feet for the Toxx zone and get out alive with the pet beating on me and taking all his DD spells. No problem I tell myself.
BUT he did throw a spell my way that I'd never heard of or had used on me to this day...
I tried to hail the guard to get the key when Azzar jumped me. He knocked me around a bit and so I decided to head for the zone, not wanting to fight a people I was trying to be kindly towards. Well, as I was making for the zone and was about to take a hard right for the zone tunnel, the message "you lose control of your body", or something close, jumps up on my chat display. Instead of turning right down the zone hallway, I kept running straight into the wall. The wall curves around the big pit and my character kept going around the contour of the passageway! I was sliding along the wall towards the spot were (presumably? have not gotten the key yet) you use the key to get into Paineel.
What made matters worse was that I had been SoWed earlier and was careening along the wall towards the drop off. Needless to say I was VERY scared I would zoom right along the edge of the wall and plummet off the side into the pit, never to find my corpse again. I finally seemed to "catch" (INCHES from the edge) on a peice of the wall and was stuck there until the spell wore off - about 15 or 20 LONG secs in all. I let go of the keyboard in case the buffers were full of "the WRONG direction" and I commenced to swan dive (swimming 65; thanks to time spent in Halas) off the edge.
I'm not sure if I would have gone into the pit if I were just a hair more left or right in the hall as I was running. I don't want to ever find out. I dont' know how deep the pit is, too afraid to get too close to the edge. I don't want to ever find that out. My ranger guild officer's surname is Falzalot, and I really don't want to follow in his footsteps either!
All I really know is, I will always have camo on when entering Paineel zone. Until the time I am SURE my faction is up to par. Or until I can kick Azzie's butt! lol, which ever comes first.
Please be careful around this guy if you are new to the area.

If I were invised would he bve able to see me? My friend went in as a level 26 druid, camoed and this guy conned indifferent, and blue. I will see later with my 17 cleric as I run to the warrens.

he doesn't see through camo. i have to use camo any time i'm on my way to the Warrens because he's the only thing along the way that will attack me. at level 30, he was able to drop my hp down to 40% before i made it to the Warrens zoneline. he will use Screaming Terror (a stun) on you, then DoT, Darkness and DD you.
he conned blue at lvl 30.

This guy is about lvl 25-27 or so. I fought him today and took him down pretty easily.

This guy is on Heretics faction and he is NOT a lvl 50 mob as posted here. He cons green to a 56 Druid and other posts have shown him conned way below 50 as well. I killed him to determine faction. He did NOT drop the quest sash. Hope this clears up some of the misinformation here.

He does not drop the sash. You must kill the BAT LORD in the Warren Caves and loot the cap. Then return the cap to Azzar and he will give you the sash. Of course, you must have some sort or favorable faction with him first. I have the cap, now just trying to get the faction.

What faction is this guy on? I killed every dog in warrens and he stills scowls at me but the Duriel guy next to him went to glowering so I know

Killed him tonight with my 44 barb shammie, was easy kill even while feared, he dropped black lace sash which is one of his quest items so he DOES drop items when killed i know this for a fact.

I am a 29 erud necro without most 29 spells, he was pulled out, then I proceded to slaughter his pet first. Hmmm, get rid of that little DOT. After that just tack on a darkness, run around a little, and let yer pet beat him, when he turns on pet, blast with shock of poison (160 damage), run around again, after getting hit coupla times, I used taps to get to full health. Come on ppl, he has no drops, I only got 1pp, but he and the pet were both blue... oh sorry my bad, not everyone can solo blues. Hmm, I bet we shall see another necro phase come around again. Gnite all.

I'm a troll warrior and was able to take him out at 24 with a 27 half elf paladin and a 26 wood elf druid. The paladin died, but other than that it was an easy kill. conned yellow to me at 24

I just got wiped out by him. At lvl 32 he conned blue, stupid deceptive cons. I wouldn't try him till mid 40s plus.

I'm a lvl 43 paladin and I was told to kill this guy for faction. He cons green to me now, so there is no way he can be 50. I kill him fairly easy, but then again I use my self regain along with all my buffs. The pet even took a few hits.

I'm a 22 bard wood elf so a lota things dont like me in there, but i killed a lot of kobolds so for the most partr im safe, im standing there conning the guards (which where green) when this @$$ comes up and starts attacking me, first he punches me for 27, being a bard with 120 in percussion i flip on selo's and jet out of there, all thw while hes casteing some nasty spells on me, i made it out with only a few scratches.

Yeah, I don't think so... he was BLUE to my Warrior 32nd. Didn't get all brave and stay to find out though! (LOL) But he hit me with 149 poison spell, with his pet beatin at my back for between 1 and 10 points. Fortunately I resisted his fear spell (JUST as I was cresting the MASSIVE drop) and I made it out with my ***** Am curious to know the same as Andercross... with a healer? Hmmmmm....

I am a lvl 29 HEI mage.... wanted to raise some faction witht he good Euridites..... I go here and killed him... blue or even to me at 29. never above
He was blue to my wiz when he was level 27. He killed me after fearing me and nuking for around 120 odd damage.
I then readied myself for him, buffed myself, ran to him, rooted his pet and duked it out with him. I made it to the zone with 30 hps left. He had a lot of hitpoints and we were nuking each for quite high damage. Damn! heh.

I truly doubt this guy is 50. if he is then i dunno what's wrong with him. He attacked me while i was on my way to the warrens. His pet was blue and his poison blasts only did a max of 127 dmg. Me being a lvl 22 pally i killed his pet but then turned and conned him to find he was red. apparently he was OOM by then and started punching around the 50s. I swear i coulda took him with a healer =). He can't see-invis though.
