Dialogues with Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy: You say, 'Hail, Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy' Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy says 'Wha? Who are you? Go away! You're breaking my [concentration].' You say, 'Concentration?' Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy says 'Yes, I'm trying to concentrate on my calculations! You see, I discovered yesterday that based upon the gnomish arm-torso aspect ratio our current [armor] designs are actually patterned with suboptimal. . . Sub. . . Uh. . .. Blast! You've broken my concentration!' You say, 'Armor?' Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy says 'Yes, well, before you interrupted me I was trying to redesign Ak'Anon's armor patterns. I believe with my newest calculations, I can increase the efficiency of our designs by a significant margin. Assuming, of course, I can finish my calculations. It's hard to work with strangers running up and hailing me all day!' Vidi sighs and then continues, 'Tell you what, if you leave me alone, I'll make you a pattern book with my new designs. Would you be [interested] in that, or perhaps you're more interested in [symbols] I've been studying?' You say, 'Symbols?' Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy says 'These symbols when used in conjunction with my improved armor can improve them even more! If you're interested in them I have some [work] that you could do to earn some patterns for them.' You say, 'What work?' Artisan Vidi Cogsworthy says 'I need you to do a bit of exploration and gathering for me. The symbols need a certain amount of. . . Inspiration. I find that I do not have time to go out into the world and be inspired. I will give you an impression book that you can use to make impressions of certain patterns that you find out in the world. This book will magically take deep impressions or even just surface patterns. All of it is useful for inspiration. You may do as many of the tasks as you wish, but each requires a slightly different book.' Dialogues with Artisan Elistar Vorann: You say, 'Hail, Artisan Elistar Vorann' Artisan Elistar Vorann says, 'Hello, Narah. Welcome back to the fair city of [Felwithe]. You must tell me of your travels!' You say, 'Felwithe' Artisan Elistar Vorann says, 'While you were away, we have made much advancement. Our trade alliance with Kaladim has secured us fresh mithril from their mines. In the meantime, our artisans have been refining our armor [designs] in preparation for the new alloys.' You say, 'designs' Artisan Elistar Vorann says, 'Yes, our old designs relied too heavily on the stopping power of the materials used in the armor. The new designs promote lighter, more flexible armor suits while providing the same amount of protection. It's difficult to explain until you have worn a new suit yourself. Would you be [interested] in these new armor patterns, or have you heard about the beneficial [symbols] I have discovered?' You say, 'interested' Artisan Elistar Vorann says, 'Very well. To make you a pattern book, I'll need some zombie skin and darkbone marrow from the Estate of Unrest. I can use those to create the cover and ink for the book. I'll also need some of the battle beads from Crushbone to help bind the book and a rotting orc tooth to complete the ink. Bring me these things and the pattern book shall be yours.' You say, 'symbols' Artisan Elistar Vorann says, 'I have found a great many symbols that can be created and added to our new armor designs. Once you placed these symbols on the armor the effect is nothing short of amazing. The capabilities of the armor are improved beyond the sum of its parts. Though there is a certain consistency to them, there is also a level of on the spot inspiration needed when making the symbols. I will give you a book that you can use as a basis for the symbol patterns if you can prove your ability to seek inspiration. Take as many of the tasks I offer you as you wish too. During these tasks you will make impressions of certain things that you find in the impression book I will give you. This magical book can make impression of objects with depth to them or just of the pattern on the surface of an object.' You have been assigned the task 'Sacred Impressions'. You receive a Sacred Impression Book. Kill 20 Chetari warriors 0/20 (Dragon Necropolis) Make impressions of the teeth of Chetari warriors 0/5 (Dragon Necropolis) Kill 10 Lictors of the Heart 0/10 (Sanctus Seru) Make impressions of the symbols on the breastplates of Lictors. 0/2 (Sanctus Seru) Deliver the impression book to an artisan of your race 0/1 (ALL) Return the impression book to the same artisan that gave you the quest. You will receive the Sacred Book of XXX Culture appropriate to your race. Incidentally, its seems that only 'a Chetari Warrior,' with a capital W, seem to update this task.
