I was able to do it solo as a level 75 and I luckily completed it on my first try. Here’s a few things I learned about the event:
1. At 7pm game time, I clicked my costume on and had language set to goblin.
2. I targeted a goblin raider in the tunnel to Droga and spammed “Start the contestâ€
3. The goblin acknowledged that he would want to see such a contest. When I spammed him again he made various rude comments to me.
4. After five minutes Earth Seer Hunknort, Goblin King Dronan, and Whip Cracker Garzul spawned. They are green and light blue to a 75 and you can’t attack them.
5. Soon thereafter goblin seekers began to spawn and roam the zone. I estimate at least 20 or more spawn during this event. Some wander off on their own and a bunch traveled in a pack around the zone. This makes it imperative to have invis up while you are traversing the zone because the swarm will take you down quick. The seekers conned grey to green.
6. After another few minutes, the King goes into his script and then the hiders spawn.
7. It took about 10 minutes to even find one of the goblin hiders roaming the zone. But luckily they appear at the top of your tracking list. As stated, they warp a pretty far distance after about 60-90 seconds. If you want to do this solo, then use Spirit of Cheetah to quickly find a hider unless you have a faster horse/drog.
8. I’m not sure if the fake hiders respawn, but I suggest killing a hider if you find one or at least ensnare it.
9. Once you find a hider, make sure to quickly engage it or it will warp away. They will not warp when fighting you. Also make sure to snare it because once it starts fleeing it will warp on you. [IMPORTANT]
10. The hiders seem to roam all over the zone so there isn’t a specific area to focus your tracking. I just tried to stay in middle of the zone running a circle until a hider warped near me. I stayed out of the fort but I did find a hider pathing into the wall so be aware that they may go in there.
11. Although I was afraid the event was going to end before I could win, surprisingly it continued long after I killed the real hider and looted the item. I think they may have extended the time of the event to at least an hour.
As for me, I got the real goblin on the second hider I killed, but this didn’t end the event. I killed 3 more hiders and finally the King called an end to it after at least an hour. However, the swarms of seekers remained up as I left so be aware. I hope this helps my fellow druids.
