Just got this on Zebkoril, 70 monk on The Nameless. Had to log shortly after getting it so i couldn't test it out though.

by FAR the hardest part of this epic is the tradeskilling. tradeskilling alone took me as long as all the fights combined. done in about 5 days.

I found a way to make the tradeskill portion easier for 1.5 and 2.0 both.
I got the mastery AAs for tailoring and pottery (3 levels of each cost = 3,6,9 for levels so 36 AAs spent total)
When you are max mastery, you automatically have a 50% chance to suceed in a combine no matter your skill.
After you get the AAs, go to your trainer and spend as many points as you can into pottery and tailoring (21?) then go do your combines.
Took me 7 combines to polish all 3 symbols and 2 combines for sash at 6 skill pottery and 2 skill tailoring.
Hope this saves someone some time!

ok so i got bored of playing my SK, so i played my MNK. Got mnk to lvl 65, and began my 1.5 epic run. Took 3 days top, never needed a raid since my cousin's bst tanked everything and bot the cleric. Bst is 12.4k unbuff and cleric is 9k mana unbuff, and my mnk just sat there through most of the fights. The last fight, The Keeper, we had a 14k unbuff bard, 9k mana druid, 13k zerk, 12.4k bst and my mnk, and was no prob. only long thing about this epic is the tradeskill, which i did in about 3-4hrs.... Well i have it now and its fun to play with, mostly with the procs! GL all you mnk out there!

I am about half way though this and i honestly can't wait to get it. I have herd so much more good stuff about the 1.5 and pretty much no complaints on it. besides that your 2.0 is better there really isn't anything at all bad with this.

I use a SoT atm and with aa's it remarkable dmg output. I prefer hth, but i couldn't pass up on the SoT with added DoN stun aug. If a mob is susceptible to stuns i take very little damage. record is 1608 crit 1240 crit with inner. I'm still waiting for quad crit. Needless to say i had to bust a fast fd damn non-agro holding tanks...
normal hits run about 400 with crits of <800.
Once i finish 1.5 i'll be slapping lifetaps augs on those and bandolier switch as needed

i got aquired this weapon a few weeks back and tossed the two DoN life tap augs in it, procs like mad, healers get mad at me when i tank becouse they dont need to heal
I run Bonecast Rod (100hp uresistable lifetap) with the 125 hp don lifetap in my primary, Shinai of Ancients with the 100hp don lifetap for that exact same reason. When pulling in xp groups i rarely need a heal. Would like to get Despair with the 100hp Don aug tho. Would be running 425hp worth of lifetaps then, when the situation warrants it.

ummmm confused cleric here !!!! why in hell would a monk want to proc that much with a lifetap proc. the more u proc the more agro u hae and therefore the better the chance is of the warrior not being able to hold agro. unless he has a blade of carnage. therefore the mob aint liken u at all at therefore the cleric has to try his best to keep you alive. now it seems to me you dont want the agro mainly since most planer mobs hit way to hard as it is and quad. anyway maybe i dont know what i am talkin about but what ever it takes to make monks feel like the have major balls go for it.
I think the above poster was talking about how he was tanking. In that situation agroo is good, of course.
Lenderhand your forgetting about the monks primary skill - FD. If we get too much agroo from procs, or whatever, we FD for a few sec, the tank builds up more agroo and we stand back up.
On raid mobs you need to be more careful, but I beleive he was talking about xp situations.

lol unless he has a blade of carnage.. 
I made a hot button that has /disarm / flying kick/ fd/sit /attack... and hit it every so often/as needed..this seems to work great for losing the agro and being able to stay in the fight longer with out having to just straight fd for a while.

Now why would you do a /disarm? All that does is build more aggro, and the only thing you can disarm is a non-magical weapon. It's good for a skill up, but not really all that effective.
Also One of the pecularities of FD that they might have changed, but I doubt it, is the fact that if you use it with out turning your attack off, you loose any chance at all of the MoB forgetting about you, so the only aggro reduction you gain is the same as just backing away from the mob for a second or two.
A better Aggro reduction Macro would be /Flying Kick /attack off /FD /sit /attack on.

The monk epic 1.5 is just the epic in line before the 2.0. My friend has the epic 2.0 and Fangs of the serpent (36/20 main and 32/21 offhand ratios). He also has pretty much every aa completed. But he does 600+ dps. I dueled him for the hell of it and got beat down to 8% health in about 15 seconds. I had 8.6k hps at the time, so anyone complaining about the epic 1.5 quit it and work on the 2.0.
epic 1.5 is required to do epic 2.0 .. that is all
one guy said he was parsing himself at 224dps with epic 1.5 in main and xegony fist in offhand
now if you guys have raided xegony you know its a long drawn out annoying *** raid
Im using a pole of punishment 52dmg 33dly 2hander which is a heck of alot easier to get than epic 1.5 + xegony fist
and i parse at 250dps
now granted perhaps i have more AA than the other guy but regardless i still believe the Bone Staff of wickedness from Anguish would out dmg epic 2.0 paired with another gates / omens 1hander for the offhand
As the Pole of Punishment is not on the same par as epic 1.5 / xegony fist combo yet does more dmg
the 2hb on par with that setup would have to be the Staff of Transcendance from Timeplane and it would obviously do significantly more dps
( although I do prefer 2handers i never liked the Fsoz no dmg bonus and weak *** base dmg (35/laugh)
granted 1handers give more hp , but 2handers of comparative difficulty to achieve give more dmg. im still pissed that the epic 2.0 was not a 2hander

2handers will never be as good of dps as one handers if you have weapons of equal quality. Take the Bone Staff of Wickedness for example. It rots regularly because no one wants to waste points on it because their 1handers that are from early raids or expansions out damage it.
I personally use Seething Fists of Slaughter and Mindreaper club, (MPG raid trial and Tacvi). Stats, hp, ac, everything superior to a 2hb.
I routinely parse for 350ish on normal fights, no disc, and can crit in the high 900's using them. The Bonestaff doesn't quite reach those numbers even with all 2hb AA's, of course the dmg numbers you see will be higher, but much slower and your overall dps will not be equal to that of a descent set of 1handers.
Now if you compare the 2.0 with a good offhand such as AMV wraps, your dps can be upwards of 400-450 on normal mobs. 2HBlunts just don't come close.

Regarding whats best for monks 2hander or h2h/1hb, it all comes down to how your own style is, I personaly prefer duel wield, it gives better stats and hps, and my dps is higher with duel wield than with 2hander, Im using 1.5 as main hand, and xeggy fist in offhand, with this combo, my dps parses avg at 224, and with FSoZ Im parsing 197, sure some of the crits from zha is higher, but if I use speed disc with duel wield it outdmgs zha with innerflame, and if I use innerflame with duel wield, I can make some fairly high crits as well, record so far is 586...
And further more the 1handers from Time, GoD, OoW have some mad rots, and yes I know theres some pretty good 2handers aswell, but like I said, it comes down to your own style..

I'm confused everytime another monk says we have more damage AA's suited towards 2 handers. I understand they like them and wish the 1.5 epic was one, but its a weird claim.

Sinister Strikes(GoD) = 15aa
Slippery attacks(Omens) = 15aa
versus
Punishing Blade = 2+4+6 = 12aa
Rapid strikes = 20aa and gives a chance for the primary hand to do extra attacks which works for either. I'm not sure which it favors since it depends how it triggers(delay related or not).

most consider rapid strikes to be a 2 hander aa just because it only ups primary hand damage which is ALL damage with 2 hander and only part of your damage with 1 handers but it does make a decent change for 1 handers as well.

your thinking of all the specilation done on the concept art noone knew back then yes its a H2H weapon as it should be and if your wondering it simply looks like 3 runes floating around the monks hand.
