So, this is what I gathered from these posts:

1. Kill everything in zone, starting with named. Eastern half of the zone is on a 12 hour spawn timer, the western half is 15 minute
2. Attach cats in her room to get her to gate.
3. After being aggro'd, she respawns at +1600 -250 in a large open area. If not engaged in about 15 minutes, returns to tree
4. Get on mount to avoid knockbacks and spell interupts
5. Perma root can be removed with radiant cure
6. The first 70% HPs go off her easy, but the last 30% takes longer due to mobs healing her
7. Finally, use /tar tunare's corpse (this didn't work for me but it doesn't matter with /advloot)

I was setting up to kill Tunare to complete Conqueror of Plane of Growth. I had an 85 warrior parked in her room in order to start the fight. My 105 Mage was at the location she gates to. So once track confirmed she was up, I logged in the war. He was immediately attacked by 2 black panther Guardians of Tunare. Apparently fighting the cats was enough to cause Tunare to gate to the second position. So you don't need to attack her directly to cause this.

She respawns outside the tree to the west upon aggro.

The initial version inside the tree has a leading space character in front of her name, as seen in the tracking window. The giant respawned version of Tunare west of the tree drops the space.

Took Tunare down at about level ~80 monk solo with around 4000aa. She is up and non aggro unless your faction is screwed up from killing the local mobs in PoG and she's standing on the top inside level of the big tree. When you attack you have about 15-20 minutes or so to chase her down before she despawns. (I got this info in game and it may or may not be completely accurate, but time is against you if you aren't ready.) She then shows up about 500-800 yards directly north of the tree in about the top quarter of the map closer to the east side but she's out in the open so you can see her standing if you are up on a hilltop.

Attacking her while not ready is probably instant death for nearly any character for as soon as you attack about 2/3rds of the entire zone will immediately charge you. In fact, it can take long enough to kill her that sometimes mobs that are killed may repop and charge again if Tunare isn't killed by the time they repop. Best to ignore as many adds as possible and kill her as quickly as you can to stop the adds from coming. I lost count but I'm sure at the end there was a body pile of somewhere around 150+ mobs. Using Whirlwind Discipline and lots of AA in counter attacks helped here as targetting each mob would be annoying at best and more likely suicide. I would not try to take her solo with anyone that can't either defend against a hundred+ mobs or you can kill her in a couple shots and gate/port out somehow. I went the crazy route and just killed everything.

Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare has been adjusted by -2000.
Your faction standing with Soldiers of Tunare has been adjusted by -2008.

Anyone know what the max level a PC can be to attack her? As an 85 group she depops as soon as we attack. Came back about an hour or so later.

Looks like upon initial aggro her small version depops and a large version pops west of the tree. That one can be killed for loot.
Fun fight

An interesting encounter to say the least.

I ran over with my bard alt to get Nature's Melody and dropped on the second pop. Managed to solo with merc healer up no problem.

Recommendations :-
:- Burn Tunare as soon as possible before too many adds arrive.
:- Train adds away from corpse as soon as possible (cover tracks, blur etc), then i ran bard in to loot.
:- If you cant train the million adds away and you have to fight them, i would recommend you sit on a mount from the start to avoid the spell interruptions and knockback even though they surround you.

Took about 15 minutes to kill all the adds and when done i used /tar tunare's corpse rather than use /hidecorpse looted as it would take ages to find the corpse you need amongst the many to cloose from.

Faction is all messed up now, even when invised you get aggro, but not really an issue in todays game.

I ran in as a 90 Monk, a 85 shaman that was simply there for buffing and didn't do anything, a lvl 85 tank merc, and a lvl 90 cleric merc. I managed to get Tunare down without clearing the zone. It came very close, I was knocked unconscious at one point, but got back up. The biggest challenge was that once all the mobs had arrived, they started healing her like crazy. The first 70% went off her in less than a minute, but the last 30% took 3-4 minutes. 1 million damage done. Afterwards, I killed off the remaining mobs. To my great joy, she dropped two branches! :)

I would suggest saving discs and burn abilities until she's at around 50%.

Figured I would see if I could attack tunar right away without clearing any of the zone.

Went well, took awhile. Called a rog friend to come kill the little brownies that have a billion hps.

Got two belts of her, was a nice score. Trying to get the snare 1hb, maybe next time.

Well I just tried soloing her withought killing anything in the zone and I fded at 30% and she was at 40% I had about 300 adds it was pretty fun but thre is no way to even cast my epic 2.0 for a heal way to many hits next time I will try with some healing pots and that will probably be a success.
If I had killed even 1/4 of the zone it would have been cake but EVERYTHING comes to help her named mobs etc... lol I should have taken some screen shots
85-Monk
Not that it matters but...

... she despawns from her spawn point and respawns in the middle of the zone.

She summons all the mobs in the zone to assist her.
She is also VERY resistant, as an 85 paladin I could barely land anything, even after Tashan.

Regardless, soloed at 85, took FOREVER, didn't drop snare sadly.

Ok, so the eastern half of the zone is on a 12 hour spawn timer, the western half is 15 minute or so. I went through and killed all of the eastern half and agroed Tunare. She instantly calls for help and mobs start moving toward her, pretty quickly. I parsed the fight and parser picked up 82 adds...got kinda hairy. I had shammy pet up the whole time, agroed the real Tunare (not the one in the tree)with pet swarm so that she started summoning my merc tank repeatedly. I had an 85 wizzy with me and he was AoEing the adds, I was set as MA so when one would die the next one to whack me was targetted and he would go at that mob. All in all from the time I agroed Tunare to the time that they were all dead was only 917 secs. She was gimp with 670,245 hps, and did only 125,013 during that 15minute fight which puts her dps at a whopping 136. She dropped the https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=7032
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12726
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=7042 (the one thing I was actually there for, but the clicky belt was nice addition)
And a bunch of other crap that rotted, 2 bps, a bunch of spells, etc. So if she has an actual base hps, (or a pretty close range), based on the other post of taking 27 mins for 798k hps, it would put her regen at 1066 hps/tick, so she absorbs ~178 dps for the fight...

Took forever due to her insane regen and high spell resistance. Took me a while to find a strategy that worked, but I eventually managed. Cleric kept necro and Noxious Servant alive with Promised Renewal (more then enough). She resists just about everything the necro cast and the knockback and root combo basicly made the necro pet useless at first. Luckily there was 1 resistance she seemed vulnerable to, corruption. Started the fight with necro tanking with Tash Orb and rogue pet backstabbing while I cast Putrefaction Rk. II (stuck every time). This method worked well enough to get Tunare down to 96% where she starts summoning. Once she does start summoning its all easy since all you need to do is keep agro on pet and she will summon it back every time she uses the knockback. Sit back and keep the pet alive and keep casting Putrefaction to help in the dps. Tash Orb also made lifetaps land about 50% of the time. Long fight, but was well worth it as she dropped the Sap Encrusted Branch.

Respawn location

After being aggro'd, she respawns at +1600 -250 in a large open area. If not engaged in about 15 minutes, she will despawn from that location (the field), and respawn in her tree. She can be respawned in the field by aggroing her in the tree.

Additional information you might be interested in:

Duo'd her with a 80 monk / 80 shaman.
Monk had 16.5k HP / 3050 AC, max defensive AA's, improved dodge III, improved block II, 8% dodge mod, 14% shielding.

Fight lasted approx. 27 minutes.
Tunare flurried 189 times.
Majority of her hits landed between 149 and 909.
27% of her hits landed for 149.
Average DPS Tunare put out for the fight was 135.
Total damage done BY Tunare: 213,304
Total damage done TO Tunare: 798,271

Upon aggro, Tunare calls to every loyal creature in the zone to assist her. When she does this, you see this message:
"Tunare Shouts 'Inhabitents of the forests, come to my side!'
All mobs in the zone then WALK quickly to her, and then assist her, and attack people on her aggro list. Once there is nobody on her aggro list, they walk back to their respective areas in the zone.

Tunare is highly resistant; she resisted Lassitude 100% of the time. I was able to land Puma / DD procs on her with Malo.
Tunare CASTS Vengeance of the Glades (this is unresistable, and is a single target 1 minute duration root. She kept me perma rooted with this root, but it can be removed with radiant cure).
Tunare PROCS Power of the Forests (this is resistable, and has a knockback component).
http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=1746&source=Live

She dropped 2 Sap Encrusted Branches, 1 Petrified Heartwood Flamberge, 1 Essence of Nature, and 2 BP's (shaman and rogue).

Hope this info helps, and good luck.
