My ranger tops it out at level 40 last I checked. He might have max'd it sooner. I wasn't really paying attention.

*edit* I lied, he's at 50% at level 40... It might top out at 50, ya never know.

I didn't see Glowing Drum listed here. I believe it is the same speed as the Seru and Emperor horses, and is quested with lots of plat and time in the Casino, which is in Shadow Haven, Shadows of Luclin expansion. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I also don't see Philter of the Wolf I - V listed here. Does anyone know the resulting run speeds from these? I speculate that even though all give the effect of SOW, the run speed may vary, just as the various horse run speeds vary, but all have the effect of "summon horse".

There are new bridles available as a result of the LON card game. I haven't seen any documentation of the speed of the mounts, but I read speculation that it would be the same as the Emp/Seru/Glowing mounts.

Please note that on multiple tries over the last month of so, I have been unable to load any of the RPG Expert pages I have cliked on, either from my favorites list, or links within articles. Previous to that for months the pages had been defaced by spammers/vandals of various types. I suspect the RPG Expert web site may be down forever. I am glad you copied this very fine list and posted it here for reference, which would otherwise be lost.

Level restriction

Hi, Just wondering, does the enhanced run speed relate to the level of the caster or the receiver?

caster... if caster is say level 20, then you will be running alot slower than if the caster were level 70, same principle for any of the clicky items... altho with the recent changes to alchemy, and the sow potions, you may be able to get high level run speed off the higher versions of the potions, and will probably be stuck with slower runspeed if you have the lower version of the potion. It is most likely based on the potion itselfs quality level, and not the players level. I have noticed this to be true with other potions, such as the ones for increasing int/wis or your mana pool, the level one potion does very little, but a higher quality version does quite a bit.

RS5 > Bih'Li

runpeed 5 appears to be faster than Bih'Li cast by a 65 shaman.

I'm a 65 rogue with runspeed 5, and was Bih'Li'ed by a 65 shaman. I was in NDT illusion at the time, running straight forward, and clicked off of Bih'Li. I immediately surged forward slightly faster. I tried this twice, same result each time...so my conclusion is that Bih'Li was slowing me down. Illusion was held constant, and there was no bard in group.

RE: Movement Increases
# Dec 15 2004 at 3:51 AM Rating: Good
It should be mentioned that bards get instrument and AA multipliers, so 65% for Accelerating Chorus is just their base run speed. Most bards with a decent intrument will be able to hit the max movement cap by level 50. The max movement bonus cap is 147% if I recall the number correctly.

So, yes, bards are still the fastest thing out there by a fairly long ways. Even the "bard speed" horse is left in the dust by a high level bard.
