I have a level 54 high elf wizard and this robe has dropped twice and rooted in POG when my friend went there and i tried to get where he was 1 day and when i went to POG i found out since my religion is solusek ro i am KOS to all the mobs in there and i am a high elf i laughed my butt off when i got attacked when i zoned in.
Got mine today off an entolling culler. Rolled a 994. I look like a short stop sign, but I love it. In about six hours, our guild looted the following:
Noct BP SK arms Cleric BP Sorcerer's Robe A 30 AC 10 STR, +50 hp BP Lotta Blue diamonds
Nestefus Nucallodem Lvl 54 Channeler Tarrew Marr House of Elder
Woot, got mine the other night. One group got lucky enough to get him alone near the waterfall. I was the only wizard in the zone. This is the first thing I have been really excited about getting in the game (I was nearly as excited about my supple scale armband). I am new to the higher end of the game being only 53 but I am still pretty pleased with it.
Peace, Xytrex (53 Wizard of Brell, and proud new member of Indicium)
I am also a DE wiz who follows sol ro, not KoS to the stuff at the mushroom in WL, but i am VERY KoS inside PoG. In fact the first kill i got told me that my factions with tunare had bottom out, as in 'your faction could not possibly get any worse'
The mobs outside of PoG are on a different level of faction than the ones inside PoG. I am Rodcet Nife Cleric and my faction outside is indiffernt and the mobs inside started at apprehensive. Now it is at Dubious. I can only think that the ones outside start out higher than the ones in PoG. Hope that helps a bit.
This is my first post to this forum, but since I am a Premium member now, I guess yill see more of me.
Triggered effect off this robe is exceptional. Everything in game is there for a reason. For those that knock this effect being a long cast time, fail to see the actual uses this is best for. This is not the effect to cast during everyday play. This is a "UBER" encounter type of proc. Last night, my guild in PoG fought Treah long enough for me to nuke to OOM and sit to med to FULL then nuke to finish. With a fight lasting that long, I could have just used this robes proc, then switched to a Draught as soon as it hit 40 percent. Why do this? AGGRO, if your only casting every 30 seconds by default. Your aggro is far far less than chain casting a lure or Draughts. Why would I be satisfied with this effect, I am doing damage to the target. Damage that adds up for sure. Then I am like a loaded artillary brigade as soon as NUKE is called. That means I would have full mana to take care of those pesky little Protectors of Growth that show up. For those of you that think they are tough..hahaha. They are mince meat with good tanks.
Back to the point, this robe is good for those encounters that would otherwise be a pain in the butt to try and sit during. Temple of Veeshan is an example. Try sitting during an AE barage. With this robe, your doing damage waiting like a crouched lion to unleash that 2500mana bomb on the mob. Don't flame this cast time until you have thought about all the uses. I applaud Verant for making it long. That way I don't have to concentrate so much on keeping aggro of me. Just clicky clicky till NUKE is called.
PoG gives wizards their best planar armor, even better than Mischief. Almost any wizard item of worth that drops there will be off the li'l woodenboys.
The robe is great, very bright and great stats but the added baby lure is a joke due to cast time. 24 seconds. It has very limited uses.
Have been on PoG daily for over a month with guild. In that time, 2 wizzie items have dropped. What's the deal? Many of our other classes are entirely outfitted.
I was lucky enough to get my Sorcerer's Robe last night, after spending 18 hours in the Plane of Growth. It dropped off of 'an Entoling Essence Conduii'. Its a level 60 mob that casts Complete Healing on itself, and is VERY hard to interupt. That same mob dropped Magician's pants also, so it seems likely that it drops the major int caster's pieces.
The Sorcerer's Robe is identical to the quested version from Thurgadin. The only difference is in the appearence. The quested versions from Kael and Skyshrine are both a little better than the Sorcerer's Robe...but I'm not complaining ;)
The Enticement of Flame effect is nice, but limited. For those that don't know, it is a level 44 Wizard spell that does 360 of nearly unresistable fire damage. The casting time is a full 30 seconds, and you can not do anything else while its casting except move...no inviting party members, no checking inventory, no going to your spellbook. Luckily, the /sit and /sit off commands do work, so you can effectively med while you cast this spell, just make sure that you hit /sit off before the spell casting is finished. There is no Casting Time meter when you use the robe, so you have to judge the timing for yourself.
Sorcerer Armor comes from PoG. If you are an evil race head to PoG and kill stuff. If you are a good race do the quests. One takes multiple faciton hits killing in PoG
