Ok for you evils out there that are normally kos to these cats, you can still get your paw rings cos Melix is indifferent. I am a 38 Sk and went in invis, none of the cats saw through it, handed the guk weed and bracket mildew to Melix (not at the same time), got both rings and some exp. 2 cats in the room and aggroed on me and one somewhere else close by. I just ran outside, wited for casters to get half way through casting then hit FD. No prob, reinvised and walked out. Those evil clerics who don't have the luxury of FD can just gate or get a sow and run out.

Has anyone tried seeing if she has any of the drop stuff for sale?

Her loc is 520 180.

Us Iksar don't have the luxury of running all over the island and casually checking in on the kute kitty kustomers. It's very tough to FD when five shamen are casting on you, even when they are all green. Someone is going to pay out the wazoo for this paw.

So which hut does Melixis sell in?? I have been through them all many times but I swear the cat isn't on the Isle. No Melixis to be found. Is she on a spawn/despawn schedule?? There were a couple of huts that were empty. Any suggestions??

To raise the beta neutral faction give 50 gold to Orctilius in south ro. I believe it raises temple of ro faction too.

Can also give Tarn (enchanter pet vendor in highpass) a bloodstone.

well, it seems to me the best thing to do here is wait til you are the appropriate level to do this quest, then everything in this zone should con green anyway and you don't hafta worry about having faction....just like the goblin merchants and banker in Runnyeye. No one under level 25 should really have a paw of opalla unless they are twinked or have mega guild help. Gynok who drops the plat ring can't be killed till you're pretty tough, try to keep the game more interesting....best way is to earn your stuff yourself.

I helped an Erudite get the rings by using Harmony with my Druid. He did come in invis, however.

You can still do the ring quest even if they look at you "Ready to Attack". When you first enter Kerra Island, have a high level Druid with you
(35+). Have him cast invis on you before goin to Melixis and make sure he has EVAC memorized. Get behind Melixis and give her the mildew. Every Kerra will attack you except for Melixis. Get the ring and have your Druid friend cast EVAC. I've done this twice with my Ogre for the copper and gold ring. Works everytime!

Her faction is not Kerra Isle. It is betaneutral.

I haven't gotten up the nerve to try yet, but do you think she would drop the rings like Mitty used to? I am assuming probably not, since they are making you camp the fungus now, but still. I am curious if anyone has tried.

and yes, the Mutant Fungus is a pain.

This is the merchant that now is part of the Paw of Opalla quest. The silver ring can still be found at the bottom of the pond in BlackBurrow. The Degenerated Guk Weeds can be found off the Mutant Fungus in UpGuk. Get this weed and turn it into Melixis and bingo, the gold ring. But good luck camping the fungus... )
