The gold ring is definitely his Ultra Rare drop, the Platinum being the dead common. Has anyone actually gotten the gold ring from him? If you're doing the Paw quest then get the copper and platinum from him, the degenerated guk weed (common drop) for the gold off the fungus mutant in Upper Guk, and then go for a swim at the bottom of BlackBurrow for the silver one.
checked most if not all of the merchants listeda above none sell it least not on the progression server

I have gotten 3 of these in the last couple weeks or so out in LOIO dropping off of Sarnak's. I am pretty sure that this is what they were dropping. Vendor at the WM gave me like 4pp a piece for them and they are the only "gold rings" I have found a listing for on the site.

They are different. The gold rings that drop in LOIO have no stats and are not Lore.

well me and my friend are doing the paw quest together, and we came here and he dropped it our first attempt. it was roughly aroun 12am - 1am central time. the only bad part was there were about 6 adds and we died :P

It is one of the two rarest components for the Paw of Opolla quest. The Paw is MAGIC, LORE, 9AC, +9WIS, +9AGI, +5MANA, -5CHA, -5DIS.

I camped this thing for 9 hours yesterday. I petitioned that I killed every spawn in that time and have'nt seen the Degenerated once. Didn't get an answer, but it dropped 2 spawns later. The paw of Opalla is very nice, but had I known it would take that long, I would have bought it from a farmer.
