Sollari Bekines says 'Hello, there! I am Sollari Bekines of the League of Antonican Bards. I am at your service to train you as best I can. There have been a number of young bards entering our concert halls lately seeking guidance. If you are a [young bard in search of training], I might have some work for you.' You say, 'I am a young bard in search of training' Sollari Bekines says 'You need to look no further then, I can surely provide you with the knowledge you will need to make it in this world as a songweaver. The exercises that you will need to complete will test your gathering and fighting skills. Once you have completed your training you will be outfitted with a suit of your very own armor! When you are [ready to begin] I will explain to you how the training will work.' You say, 'I am ready to begin' Sollari Bekines says 'Here is your Wind Spirits Assembly Kit. In this kit you will collect a different items that will be combined in certain quantities to create infused armor materials. These armor materials that you create can then be taken to a forge along with the applicable armor mold to fashion together a piece of Wind Spirits Armor. When you would like to craft an armor piece you must simply tell me what piece you [want] to craft. I will then provide you with the recipe and mold necessary for creating Wind Spirits [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates].' You say, 'I want to craft a breastplate' Sollari Bekines says 'To create your breastplate material you will need to combine 5 Bricks of Crude Iron, 1 Low Quality Bear Skin, 1 Woven Spider Silk, 1 Lock of Scarecrow Straw, 1 Matted Lion Pelt and 1 Bandit Sash in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Wind Spirits Breastplate. When you are finished with your Breastplate and have completed your armor set please come see me for one [final exercise].' You say, 'What final exercise?' Sollari Bekines says, 'I need your help with ridding the hills of some of the most vile creatures, the gnolls of course! My resident alchemist has instructed me that he needs some items from these furballs for an antidote he is working on. I need you to bring me 2 Vials of Gnoll Blood and 2 Gnoll Pelvises. Once you have returned with these items I will reward you with a weapon worthy of the finest Qeynos Songweaver. Have to say this is about the easiest newbie weapon quest I've done. Unlike others, both items needed are common AND sellable to merchants. By the time I had made second level, I had scrounged up enough cash to buy the parts and get this weapon, before I'd even managed to make any of the armour.

If you go through the conversation she now says she wants 2 Vials of Gnoll Blood and 2 Gnoll Pelvis'
can only bards do this quest? Or will others get xp for it?

dgdough, yes others can do this quest for xp and faction. You even get the weapon, but, unless you're a Bard, Hum or HEF, you can't use it. And it's NO DROP, so you'll just have to destroy it. I do ALL of the newbie weapon quests with ALL of my characters for the xp and faction.

Another thing to keep in mind, you can collect all of the quest boxes, and fill your bank with them. Free 10 slot containers for the bank :)

last night i turned in 1 vial and 2 pelvises, and she gave me back one pelvis and the sword! wonder what happened there...

Lepgen and JariontheDark, Cool! I believe that you were both beneficiaries of others turning in items, before you. I went out and got a stack of (20) Vials of Gnoll Blood, and a stack of (20) Gnoll Pelvises. As she asked, I gave her 1 Vial and 2 Pelvises, and I got nothing, and she said nothing. So I immediately gave her one more Vial, and I got the sword! :-) Then I tried it with 2 Vials and 1 pelvis, and got nothing. I immediately gave her one more pelvis, and succeeded -- I didn't get another sword, though it's LORE. I then gave her one of each, and got nothing. I gave her one more of each, and it succeeded. I'm convinced that it's 2 of each, and that it's cumulative. I suspect that someone before you gave her 1 Vial and 2 Pelvises (like she asked), then you came along and gave her the same, and she gave you the sword and one Pelvis back. But, if I'm doing my math right, I'll bet that she still might have had one pelvis "in the bank", so to speak -- maybe?

Same thing happened to me, Kinda cool
its 2 of each UNSTACKED!!! i tried 2 blood's 1 pelvis, 1 blood, 2 pelvis, 1 of each and only 2 of each worked (and confirmed by a GM that its 2 of each)

I think this has been fixed.. I even got back one of the items (pelvis I think) so it was actually only 1 of each :) Yay, easy enough
This matches my experience as well. I did it like she asked for it and got nothing. Ran to second computer and came here to dear old Allakhazam. Read your posts ( my wise fellow Bards ! ) and went roaring back to Sollari with one more vial of gnoll blood and got the sword. No pelvis was returned to me so it took 2 bloods and 2 pelvises. Many thanks to my fellow bards for this info.
Test with 2 of each, work well. Donno if he only need 2 blood and one pelvise.

This should be reset to lvl 5/6, all my pelvis's and blood came from the Gnolls guarding the entrance to BB outside, which are soloable to a lvl 5/6 bard.
Took about 90 mins to get 6 of each (pelvis and blood) and enough ore blocks to complete the whole set of armour, including a couple of runs using my new selo (sorry slow walks) back to Qeynos at severely encumbered conditions to dump blocks of ore.

After reading posts below I was prepared for strange events in trying to complete this.
Went armed with 6 pelvis's and 6 vials.
Tried it immediately after the server reset on Bayle and only person in Q South and logged into guild hall, so all previous gives should have been reset without anyone getting in first and leaving leftovers.
Handed in 2 pelvis's and one blood unstacked (as asked for) no comment at all. Then handed in another blood on its own and tadaaaaa sword, and exp.
Am starting to think this should be 2 of each unstacked or reversed with 2 blood and one pelvis.

NPCs only can accept a total of four items for any quest, so it can't be 3 of each.

I tried this quest lastnight, only to have the same result so many others experienced. At first I thought Sollari was attempting to stifle her progress, as followers of Veeshan such as myself don't often gain much respect within the League.
However, after experimenting a bit, I found that Sollari is simply tongue tied.
She *says* she wants 1 vial of gnoll blood, and 2 gnoll pelvises.
What she *actually* wants are 2 vials of gnoll blood, and 1 gnoll pelvis.
Please note that this is based on only a little experimentation however, and it could be that she wants three of each.
If you give these items to her, you'll be rewarded with the Wind Spirit Longsword. It has an appearance similar to a Wakizashi, and is almost identical to a combine longsword in use (a gnome rated it 6/27... whatever that means).
I shall send a sketch of the blade to the sage Allakhazam as soon as I have the time.

gave her what she asked for. She returned one pelvis saying don't need it. Gave her another vial and found sword in inventory. Gained average three hp damage with new sword(hits for 13). Easy to do and don't have to have all rest complete.

Last night, I gave her 2 vials of gnoll blood and 1 pelvis first and I got no responce. I then gave her 1 vial and 2 pelvis' and I got the reward so it may be that she really wants three of each.

Handed in the ingredients once (pelvises unstacked) and she did nothing - no text, no faction, no xp, no reward. Gonna try it again soon...

This is an easy quest to do and the quality of the weapon shows this its only 6/27. Head to Freeport and do the songweavers weapon quest to get a better weapon, the songweavers etched longsword 8/30. Sadly both are primary only so they can't be dual wielded together :(

I tried finishing this countless times. It finally worked when I handed in the pelvises stacked. Gee that was fun.

This quest seems a bit bugged as well. Make sure to get enough ingrediants to give to Sollari three times. First time she did nothing. Second time I only got xp and faction third time I got the sword.
