i have a full plat look on my Beastlord ( Helm of Rile) (Green hide Bp) (Brown chitin Arms)( and Legs) (Golden Efreeti Boots) all tho i dont have is hands but i have chain hands tho (Isakar scale gloves
And there is a final weapon quest. Tell him you are strong, and he will tell you to give him 4 Tree Snake Fangs. Which results in Bakrishal's Scaled Claws. Not a very good weapon for a Beastlord. You are much better off turning in 2 Giant Bat Fur and 2 Giant Bat Wings to Grapok for the Ruthless Claw.
i spent like 3 hours doing the whole quest just to find out it not really "plate" look, despite that the item clearly says "breastPLATE" i hate u verant. btw, its really the red "leather" look
Well DUH, idiot. It's BEASTLORD armor. BEASTLORDS can't wear PLATE. Stupid of Verant to have the name say "plate" in it (and even make the icons look likep late) but stupider of you to think that beastlords could wear plate.
Check the Brown Chitin legs and arms. Also Helm of Rile and GEBs. I realize there are plate exceptions for some races/classes and certain classes are definately considered leather/chain/plate but bear in mind when something is called a breastplate and holds the inventory graphic of plate, most often it becomes one of those exceptions and I can sympathize with the disappointment expressed by the poster.
I have yet to find a plate looking item for my BSTs chest slot aside from PSC maybe. I'll have to look into it.
This is a very nice improvement over Verants first attempt at newbie armors (original Beastlord Armors, Ogres' was called Ruthless). Now if the other Beastlord Classes (other than Iksar and Vah Shir) could just get the upgrade also (I think Barbarians have one, it's just the guy is Apprehensive and won't speak to anybody at this time).
Also, did anyone else notice that the Ogre newb quests don't come with Final Test/Favor/Task- weapon quests?
Regarding your second point, that there appear to be no Ogre newbie weapon quests-- You are correct. Out of curiousity I did the newbie shaman quests and cannot find any trigger for a weapon test, either. Maybe Sony did it on purpose so Ogres have something to complain about. (As if low level Ogre shaman's didn't already have something to complain about when they got rid of the troll poison/disease spell merchant in Innothule . . . but I digress.)
