but i do agree. I wish with each expansion..they would make a new quest for the Epics to upgrade them ever so slightly
Not looking for my Firey defender to go 35/40 to 52/40 but maybe even 37/40 with kunark then 40/41 with velius then maybe 43/40 with luclin. Or Hell on a whim..make it as good as the Palliduis Axe of Slaughter Smiley: wink
and each upgrade you would get a few more stats and proc bigger
but now i help ppl trying to get there epic .and when they get awarded ST keys ..there epic goes right to the bank....

Epics were a Kunark era quest just FYI... it'd be pretty silly to get an increase there.

This is plain sick.

It would feasibly be easier for me to take level 60, join large guild, go raid Kerafyrm's Lair, and grab these hot babys instead of WASTING my time chasing my Epic. Good GOD for the love of PETE Verant - Avatar proc on a weapon? Why not just give it a spell list and have the wielder cast whatever super buff he/she chooses?

CONGRATULATIONS Verant! You have gotten better at Nerfing (255).

Why do I say Nerf? I say it because by bringing these weapons out (along with countless others), you are making EPIC weapons worthless. If I had one of these, guess where my Epic would be.....

I understand that over time things are changed and improved, but the Epic Weapons should never be surpassed.

How about an Epic Quest update? You quest some more and get a better Epic? Or put skill mods on Epics - 5% to offense or something.

But what would you use until you're level 60+? Not to mention what the heck are you gonna use on the raid?! Sure there's stuff that you can buy, but usually they don't have the proc or stats of the melee epics. Innoruuk's Curse comes to mind, how many sellable weapons have a 200+hp lifetap dot AND that kick *** look? Even if you got one the price would be insane, so it's not feasible for as many people as the epic is. Not to mention an epic is a status weapon. How dedicated are you to your class? As any melee class I would definetly get my epics. Then again I'm playing a rogue and an enchanter so my epic is definetly needed in both cases.

Avatar has always been available as a proc on weapons

I could go on, but I'm bored now :) Ancient Prismatic weapons are just direct replacements for their Primal Velium counterparts, whereas Premier xxxx of Secundae are the direct replacements for Priceless Velium weapons (which are, with the exception of the bow, exactly the same as Primal Velium, but without Avatar proc).

Ummm..... By definition: Always = from the beginning of time. EQ existed even before there was Kunark. Then EQ including Kunark existed for some time before Velious came along... Sleeper's tomb exists ONLY in Velious.

Epic quests also existed before velious. Sleeper's tomb did not.

So what, exactly, was your point, sir?
