After many hours of killing the spawn at location -470, -2550, I would randomly find another Nez/Phur passing by that spawn area. Having literally 2 Nez up at the same time. I kept wondering where it was coming from, so I did some tracking after bringing Nez low enough to cast Gate. After finding Nez and letting her cast gate another time, I have found the other spawn location. She/He spawns on the road at exactly +2800, +1030. It spawns at the same speed as well, about 60 seconds. If it matters, in my opinion, there appears to be less random mob traffic in this area as well. Some might consider this spawn, if the other is taken. As for placeholders, they appear to be the same as the other spawn - meaning basically anything could be the place holder.
So there is my story. The other spawn is +2800, +1030. Confirmed 4/24/2016.
I just want to confirm that this second location works. I parked my SK at -470, -2550 (SE quadrant) and my Shaman at +2800, +1030 (near Skyfire entrance).
I then began clearing the area around my SK. Mobs were already spawning at my Shaman repeatedly, and I got mobs to spawn on my SK within minutes. Phurzikon spawned on my Shaman and then on my SK; I had two Phurzikon up at once. Phurzikon spawned again almost immediately on my Shaman, then Nezekezena spawned. As I ran my bard over to loot, a SECOND Nezekezena spawn immediately after.

Set a character or pet on spawn point -470, -2550, and kill everything in the area of a few hundred yards. Once you have the spawn point respawning on your head, you can just kill it and roamers as they agro.
I ran over to the loc posted below by others and started killing. I would pull as many mobs as I could find over to the spawn point and clear the mob. Took about an hour to get her to spawn and collect the gut.
Just got this gut, was the easiest of the 3. follow what others said and just kill whatever you see from the /loc given. Give it some time and it will drop.
Add this to your burning woods.txt in your map folder
P 2544.7681, 462.4556, -379.4064, 240, 0, 0, 3, Nezekezena's_PH
Thank you for this I just ran around on my ranger and killed everything about 15 mins later I got it, ranger has that long rare bow makes these camps easy peasy.
Random info: I did as all of you talk about and got Nezekezena to spawn a few times.. one of the times I was killing him/her, another one of Nezekezena walked by. I was litterally killing two Nezekezena at once. Funky!
Came back on nostalgia trip before I retire (again).
Spawn point -470 -2550. Just put pet on guard here, then splat anything in range until spawns start. Guard point gives you a marker to watch. Can't miss the spawn point, cos it's one of those spawns where they swim in the air for a few secs on arrival. Lather, rinse and repeat...

Confirming that LOC is EXACTLY -470 -2545. Mobs here spawns directly ontop of me. Got nez a few times already after a few mins. Can stand here with pet and get auto-aggroed. Easiest way to get it done when u have cleared the whole area and get it to spawn. Hope this helps.
The PH spawns in a clearing, just beside some trees. I tried to see if there was a sequence of PHs for Nezekezena, but there didn't seem to be. Spent about 2 hours at the spot, got through about 10 Nezekezenas and about 6 Phurzikon spawns before the Embers dropped for my mage. Only Nezekezena summoned me, and both tried to run at 10%.

The below posts by cmcewan74 and Lancetheavatar are spot on.
I went to the loc listed below and parked my mage. I began clearing all the mobs with my ranger around the spawn and just checked back every 80 seconds or so.
After a while I got lazy and just sat at the spawn spot, killing any roamers which were in range of my bow. To be truthful I found this more effective than running around.
I spent 2 hours here and had Nez spawn probably about 6/7 times, dropping the guts on all but the last time when he dropped the embers.
I never had Phurzikon spawn whilst I was there.
One note I'll make is that one time I noticed on track that Nez had spawned in the NW part of the zone (I'm guessing where Gylton/Entalon are meant to spawn from reading some of the posts) so I ran over and killed him there.
I camped Nez/Phur today on Vulak(progression server) I lost the camp once to link death, and had to restart the spawn cycle. This is a quick write up on what I did, in case anyone else is still doing these quests.
I zoned in from Frontier and proceeded to an older loc, -450, -2250. I was the only person in the zone, which meant that unfortunately there was no tracker available. Assuming that neither Nez or Phur was up, I proceeded to slowly circle out from the previously mentioned loc and kill everything in sight. This included Skeletons, Sarnaks, Giants, wurms, and gorillas. I kept my Necro box seated on the position and monitored for spawns. Once I killed the place holders, it began a spawn cycle.
I can confirm that spawns on the loc listed above (-450, -2250) approximately every 80 seconds. I can also confirm that according to what spawned on the loc, skeletons, Sarnaks, Giants, Wurms, gorillas, and wasps are all fair game to be place holders, so do not rule out ANY mob around that loc as a place holder.
In four hours of camping the loc once I had the cycle running, Phur spawned approximately one out of every ten mobs (1/10th), and Nez spawned maybe one in 25 or so at best. Nez is definitely the rarer of the two wurms, but he always dropped the red wurm gut. After about five or so Nez spawns, he finally dropped the Burning Embers.
From the standpoint of taking out the named wurms, I had a Magician and a Necromancer, and duoing them was no issue. I would say that both were easily soloable on my Magician (level 59), although I would recommend that you chain pets. Phur is a push over, and runs at 20% health. Nez, on the other hand, seems to want to nuke you till approximately 5-10%. Still, not an issue as long as you are at least half to full mana and are careful. The biggest problem at this camp is adds; my recomendation is to take along someone (Another Mage, A Necromancer, or a Shadow Knight would probably be best) in order to help out with them. While they are not dangerous in and of themselves, they do tend to gang up on you fairly quickly.
I hope this helps any Magicians or Bards in their quests. Good luck.
I've been doing the Epic 1.0 with my Bard, and this was good information. Neg 450, Neg 2250 puts you in the right general area. There are a couple of respawn points that are near that location. The specific point I got Phurzikon and Nezekezena to spawn from is Neg 470, Neg 2547. Good luck.
Spent the first 30 mins at wrong spot. i reversed a + / - from a post here. My mistake. I confirm loc n480 x n2550. hung out about 30 mins. got 4 phurz and 2 nez. 2nd nez had our drop. hung around for repop and followed it. the path it took was south east to loc n1170 x n3325. it hung around ther a bit then travelled almost due north to loc p55 x n3290. hung around there a bit and then it went south southwest to loc n2000 x n2815. and then ( i am embarassed but i am not a tracker) i lost it in the woods.
camped Nez for 3 hours last night, was originally just killing everything in the middle of the eastern part of the zone by the Frontier ZL but finally just went north, ignored the spawn locs listed here on Alla. Killed for about five minutes up at the northern end of the zone and voila, Nez starts pathing down from the Skyfire ZL. Note: My companion said she thought that when she killed hornets/wasps, wurms spawned far more often. I myself had just killed a hornet at the northern end when Nez spawned for me. Dropped Guts for my bard on first try :) good luck all.
Found Nez today for my bard epic and highsun'd it back to pos 2797 pos 1027. Edit- just noticed the spawn point was already posted, oops! Oh well, its confirmed!
Can Confirm this loc had 2 pop back to back although didn't get the drop yet. Sad I'm a sucker for epic 1's this has taken forever with all the camping and still not done
I can also confirm that he spawns at -477, -2554. I did not have to kill the "A scoreia wasp" to start him spawning.
I started by parking my mage at his spawn point and running around with my bard highsunning everything I saw. After about 20-30 minutes nothing had landed on my mage, so I changed strategies. Starting from the spawn point, I started running an ever-widening circle, killing everything I saw. After about 15 minutes Nez popped right on my mage's head.
Under Nezekezenas Beastiary page, the October 2010 post by Dragoste of Spiritwalker mentioned that he Highsunned Neze back to Pos 2797 pos 1027. Yesterday I asked in guild for help and they came to help me kill for my 59 Mage on Vulakk’Aerr, Progression Server. I found the first and most posted about spawn point (neg 477, neg 2554) and found it camped (could see the corpse piles from quite a ways away. My group was still coming so I told them we would try this second point and see what we could get.
Neg 477, Neg 2554 is in the eastern side of Burning Woods, in the trees but right next to the Burned out area.
Pos 2797, Pos 1027 is found up towards the Skyfire zone line. On the EQAtlas map (http://www.eqmacwiki.com/eqatlas/burningwoodmap.html) You can see a path that looks like a “T†in the north. The far west point of the horizontal top of the “T†starts heading on a SE track and where it turns due east is the spawn point area. The spawn point is ON THE PATH.
During a 6 hour period, we got 3 Burning Embers, and about 6 Bard Guts, with several of those rotting. After I left, the one mage that had joined us late got his Embers within 30 mins. 4 embers, 6 guts in 6 hrs, 30 mins.
We set up and started pulling everything we found to hopefully find the PH that spawns at that point. After over 1 hour I was getting very concerned that maybe this was not a viable point when a skelly popped on the path very close to where I had parked my pet as marker of the approx spawn point. We killed it and kept pulling and almost 90 seconds later another skelly popped there. We killed it and I told everyone to stop pulling. Almost 80 seconds later, pop – PH. As of that point I told the group we are now changing our tactics to focus on that spawn. 15 minutes later – Phurzikon spawned. It was not Neze, but I knew Phurz could drop the Burning Embers too.
PH’s included Skeletons, Wasps, Giants, Gorillas, Wurms, Sarnaks, and either Phurzikon or Nezekezena. Timer was 82 seconds respawn. This location IS a viable second hunt spot. The tactics for getting the PH is exactly the same for both spots, requiring killing for a time until you get that PH to spawn at his point.
Some other details about this spawn area.
There are other spawn points near here. Several times we got spawns popping right on us as we circled the Neze/Phurz spawn point and thought maybe the point was in this area, not at that one point. This was pure speculation as the PH kept appearing on that point, even seconds after the other spawns popped on us. The same type of creatures spawned, notably Giants, Skeletons, Gorillas and Wurms. The timer on those was too random to even try to keep track and was very inconsistent.
More spawn points happened within eye-site of this point among the area NE to NW of this point. Also random and we did not waste energy trying to time any of them.
Like the eastern Neze point, this area is a pathing highway for mobs. They path through here from all points, to walking past us outside the camp site (again, we circled the point so outside is outside our circle), to pathing through an edge of our cirle to walking right through the center of our circle. Some times you do not need to pull – they can come to you.
Because of the pathing and popping in of random spawns, this camp is sometimes dead with no mobs to very dynamic. If your group cannot handle 3-7 mobs at once, have an evac/succor ready. If your focus is the Bard Epic drop, Mage epic drop or just XP’ing or hoping for a rare item drop from the Nameds, it is better to sacrifice the camp than your chars lives. You can always come back and likely get the PH very son after coming back.
Most in my group were 49-57 with me being 59. They were very pleased with the XP coming in, and several leveled during our session. This location can be used for simple XP’ing also if you are ready to handle the Nameds too.
So there are 2 good places to do this hunt, both locations are viable.
Followed the strat I'm replying to, had the PH spawning within an hour and got the mob within 12 spawns after that, dropped the piece first time. I did it just with one character and got lucky catching the spawn.
Ok we were camping this spot ands low and behold after killing several mobs in the area A scoreia wasp a rare mob in the loc below finally spawned. Once we killed this mob it started the 90 second spawner at this loc -480, -2547 Will to spawn Neze.
You may have to restart the timer again after a few spawns of Phurk and Nek wash rinse repeat to start timer.
Its March 2009 let EQ after 7 years for 2 years came back and I did what my post said PhurK dropped embers for me tonight after spwaning him 3 times and Nek 3 times woot EQ still rocks.
Can confirm that standing at -477, -2554. is the best option. I don't remember the spawn time on the ph but it isn't very long must have taken me at most 30 minutes. Tried running around and killing certain mobs listed below for 2 hours and it did nothing. My advice is to kill the mobs around -477, -2554, and wait for the the ph's the spawn there. Good Luck.
