Shadowknight Epic changes:
- Caradon will now spawn 8 hours after being killed and from 5 to 14 hours after a zone or server reset.
- Lhranc will now spawn 13 hours after being killed and from 5 to 15 hours after a zone or server reset.
- NPCs involved in the quest for Innoruuk's Curse can now see things that are invisible. They will only deal with people they like.

Since his only purpose is to spawn Kyrenna who drops two items for the SK Epic 1.0, it's recommanded to leave him alive once Kyrenna is dead and looted.

Caradon appears on Brewell maps.
1) The key was dropped in the central part of the Hole by The Strong Box. So it's faster to get there by entering at the waterfall.
2) You give the key to Caradon way over in the NE corner of the Hole. So it's faster to get there if you can evac/succor to the other end because you don't have to fight through the whole city and wander the tunnels. Still lots of tunnels but fewer.

On Coirnav TLP, respawn time was 36 hours on the dot.
Also worth nothing, if you have a friend with you, can easily FD and split him from Kyrenna after turning in the Cell Key if you want to leave him alive for the next SK to come through.

After many years I came back to the game and started a SK. This portion of the epic 1.0 (finding Caradon) just about drove me crazy. To get to him:
1) Take the entrance to the Hole in the newbie area next to the Warrens zone line. It is under water. Click the rocks. You need the Paineel key which you should already have.
2) Work your way down the stairs until you get into the big courtyard. A bridge to your upper right goes across the pit with the monstrosities. Do not take that. Take the dirt path to your left that follows the pit wall to the pit floor. There is a doorway in a brick wall near the base of the path. Go in.
3) As you enter the doorway, there will be two possible paths. Take the doorway on the immediate left. When you have to turn, click the door on the right and go down two flights of stairs.
4) At the bottom of the stairs, click the door in front of you, not the one on the left. You will see a jail-cell on your left. The next room as you go around the corner has Caradon in it.
As many others have said, do your turn-in and kill the lady that spawns for your epic pieces. Do NOT kill Caradon as he has a long respawn (2 days I hear) and you don't want to be mean to the next SK that has to come down there do you? Feign death is your friend.

Firstly I had to wait 2 days for this to pop, so when you hand him the key, kill Kyrenna, and FD! Secondly, here is his LOCATION just inside the castle you go down to the green part of the map that looks like a small square hall with rooms on either side, it is down two flights of stairs. This is the JAIL area his location is 420.60, -183.44, -213.78 Good luck guys, and again, don't kill Caradon.

Note that you do not need to kill him after handing him the Cell Key. Kill Kyrenna, then feign death and wait for agro to clear. He is now available for the next SK doing the epic.

Is he still on a 3 day respawn time?
am only a little familiar with the hole and still get lost easily-- can anyone please give directions on getting to him? how come when people post they love to tell you how they killed a mob but never how to get to it???

Opened trade window. hit hide button. Got behind him and pressed give. it spawned Kyrenna and killed all to get blood and heart
This was my method..
I brought my boxed 75 mage and 70 sk to the safe spot in front of the first castle, down in the construct pit (loc 162, -347). While the sk was fd there, I had my mage kill all the mobs on the path from there to where Caradon was (don't forget to kill the two wanderers in the jail cell area). And btw, he does not have a ph, he stands in his cell right next to an elemental. His cell is the one marked on the eqatlas map, i.e. as you enter the jail area foyer just keep on going straight thru the door in front of you...you will pass by an empty cell with bars on your left. The corridor then turns left and Caradon's cell will be the first cell on the right.
Anyways, killing the trash mob next to Caradon did not agro him, he was apprehensive to my mage. I then ran the mage back to the safe spot and ran my sk to him (Caradon was apprehensive to my sk) with the intent of pulling to the safe spot and fd spliting as mentioned below so I would not have to kill Caradon. But things did not work out as planned. After the key handin and pulling to the safe spot and fd'ing, both mobs stood next to my sk buffing each other and then BOTH mobs walked back to the cell.
So I ran my mage back to their cell and started pounding on Kyrenna. Was not hard to kill her but she does have a high resistance to spells. As soon as she was dead, I ran my mage back to the safe spot and logged out before mage pet could kill Caradon too. They both have alot of hp...Caradon was at 48% when mage logged. I then ran the sk to the cell and Caradon was still apprensive (not KOS, surprisingly enough) so sk looted Kyrenna's corpse and ran back to the safe spot and that was that. Everything was done before any mobs had a chance to respawn.

Does anyone have any idea of spawn time on this guy? I've helped my friend camp this guy for days now and still haven't seen him.
Also, I have talked with other SK's who did say there is NO NEED to kill Caradon! When you hand him the key, Kyrenna will spawn. FD split these and you can then kill Kyrenna and leave Caradon up so all other SKs can finish thier epics too. Not sure if it will work but worth a try.

tried to give Caradon the cell key today and he won't take it. Gives me that annoying message "I have no need for this, you can have it back". Apparently SOE still has not fixed this. Now he doesn't "steal" the key, he just won't take it! LOL, nice going Sony.

The turn in worked for me just fine last night (10/07/2006). If you are still having problems with the turn in, you might not have enough faction with True Spirit. Part of the SK epic has a repeatable turn in for faction, and it helps recover missing faction due to trying to take shortcuts. However if you followed the quest to the letter you will have enough faction.
ive been to the jail area numerous times....searched dang near the whole zone as many times as well....is there a such thing as a chest? or is there something else that spawns that holds the cell key?

been bugged for a while now.

Hand key, caradon agros, but doesnt pop kyrenna.
The older the content, the longer it takes for them to care about fixing it.

have given this guy like 5 keys now.. tried the invis trick, the hide trick, the aa fd trick and straight out giving it to him.. kyrenna has not spawned
stole my key as well... sent /bugreport... hope it gets fixed in the next year :S

Gave this guy 2 cell keys, and the chump robbed me both times on the SK quest. He never spawned Kyrenna. Anyone know why? or what im doing wrong? Do i need to kill all elms around?

you dont need to fight both you know, hand caradon the key, get to the corner of corridor and FD, Caradon will go back to cell and Kyreena will just walk around, have someone tag her
I haven't tested this myself, but from what I hear you can spawn Kyreena run and FD. Caradon will eventually go back to his spawn point while Kyreena will stay because she's a triggered spawn (which means she's a mob w/o a home). When Caradon walks away, kill Kyreena. This method should enable more than one SK to handle this part of his or her epic back to back to back.

Caradon has something in the area of a 3 day spawn, so please don't kill him, for your fellow shadowknights. The info above is correct, except she didn't wander... either way no problem, just tag and kill.

Took these two out day before last, was cake, but we had overkill. No slow or caster nukes landed, but Spear line landed as did my Life Taps. We had 65 Pally, Mage, Cleric, Ench, and 64 SK (me). Just bring some DPS and two tanks....and they go down easy.

Just finished this fight with a 61 rogue, 61 warr, 59 druid, 2 55+ beastlords and a 60 enchanter. oh, and myself, 50 sk.
He is just as immune to spells as she is. The chanter couldnt land a mez or a slow on him at all, despite tash. Disease / poison spells might work, as i was landing partial spears of pain (disease dd) on Caradon. His max hit also appears to be around 150-160 or so. The BL pets were offtanking while we dropped the cleric.

how many people do you need to drop this guy? you have to fight him with kyrena at the same time right? someone who has done this already port somethig here.
Can be done with one strong group but since it is an encounter you don't want to loose best to bring a few extras. Recommend a paladin and enchanter for extra stuns. You do not want to kill Coradon. If you do then no other SK can hit him for 3 days.

Guys did it occur to you that at level 55 he is going to be red to a 52 as it is 3 levels away. If you were 53 he would have been a yellow, the same with 54. And at 58 with him at 55 do you expect him to be anyting but blue to a 58. There's no need to change his level think about it. Rozzl posted he was white to him, or black depending on the screen you use, at 55. You know it's strange that he would say at his level this guy was an even. As of your posting anything 11 levels below your would have been blue. Currently I think anything half that, 6 or 7 level dif, he will still con blue. While I think over that he will con light blue.
