Often better to snare

It's been my experience that casting snare on a critter that will try to turn and flee once health gets low is a far better option than rooting. The rooted critter will realize it's not going anywhere and keep attacking, while the snared critter will continue trying to get away, with his back turned to you. This can make all the difference in a close battle. I'm sure there are a lot of you who already know and practice this, but after being wiped by a a griffon that somebody has "helpfully" rooted a number of times, there are still some folk who don't. imho - of course.
