Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. He's always there when I port in. Sorry for those of you that he's away from his post so often.
When I happened upon the druid ring to purchase spells, I found that good ole Tak was no where to be seen, so I, like any resourceful Druid would do, Tracked him. Low and behold he was hiding inside of the center pillar of the rings, the one he normally stands beside. I was able to mash my little halfling face against the pillar and see him, I was also able to target him, but I had no luck when it came to using him as a vendor <i.e right click>. If I hadnt just made my level, I would have considered binding a ways away and casting on him in order to get him out of his prediciment, but I figured Verant must have had a good reason why they confined him in a solid rock monolith. I wrote and complained to the Norratian Alliance of Druid Salespeople, but I have yet to get a response. Hope this helps.
The answer is simple why the druid vendor is away from his usual post. Most likely some druid was porting their party to NK and there was an evil KOS team mate among them. Once they zone in, all the Druids would aggro and attack the infidel. For some silly reason Tak never walks back to his initial spot. The GMs usually just despawn him and another will eventually apepar in the correct spot.
I spent sooo much tie as a lvl eighteen Druid that I'd swear it was a Hell Level. I finally make it to lvl nineteen (and my port spells) when I port to NK and get my DD spells from this Guardian of the Wood, Tak.
But he's not there. Ok, maybe some Druid hating **** camped him or maybe he was dispencing justice to somebody. I'll try agan later.
So I gate back to Oasis and savor the joys of Fear Kiting the DW. After a day of doing that, I port once again to NK before loggin and get my spells.
But he's *still* not there.
Where is this guy? There's Briana (who helps you train) and a host Druids who play tag around stones, but no Tak.

Tak is quite often away from his merchant place, on the outskirts of the ring - and thus won't sell. No clear idea of why - merchants are not supposed to aggro, but maybe Whistler is considered a druid and not a merchant faction-wise.

Whenever i try and right-click on this mob to buy my lvl 19 druid spells it says, "im busy right now, come back later, cant u see im doing something?" its annoying, someone please help
