Two questions:

First, do you think a 46th level Enchanter can solo one of these (doubt it). If so... how?

Second. Do these fellas ever roam?

ok...so thats three questions... sue me! lol.
RE: ??

I bet you might have a chance to solo one if you could charm one and then slow the other. Just pray that charm don’t break. Charm is all fun and games till it BREAKS!

2 of them spawn outside the brownie camp at 1775, 3150, they con light blue at 65 and have about 4K hps, they hit kinda hard for there level, but you can root, dot them with no issues. The spawn time of these 2 guys are about 20-30 mins and I've gotten brownie parts most of the time also some coins and some droped morning dew. Also the brownies inside the camp and the brownie farmer droped parts. Hope this helps.

brownie guards

Brownie guards aren't that tough. I've been hunting the brownies for baking and have solo'd 2 guards at a time with my 37 shamy (with KEI). So long as I don't let em get close enough to me to hit me there's no problem. Probably killed a dozen or so of them so far by rooting, doting, and nuking. When they do get close enoght to hit me they usually double hit me for around 200 so I wouldn't last long if I tried to fight it out hand to hand.

I hate to burst your lieing bubble, but your story doesnt work, after all, you have to be 46 for KEI...

Teruhl, I don't know if you are aware or not, but back in 2002 (when the post you were replying to was posted) you could get KEI cast on you at level 1. I know, I've been playing EQ since 2001 and when they fixed KEI to only stick on levels above 45, well fortunately for me, I was level 51 at the time.

The leg and brain are for the newbie gnome quests in ak'anon. I know the brain is for the good gnome casters to get a robe

I (50 SK) came here to kill some brownies for getting my baking up, I knew most brownies were in the 30-40 range, so I find the village walk up and pull one of the bastards. Luckily only one came because it hit me once for 123 a couple of nukes for 304 and doted me; went thru 1200 health in 20-30 seconds. I came here to find out there lvl 45. Hardest lvl 45s ever.

I have been hunting them for a few days now pretty steadily and have never had them cast on me at all. The lower level Brownies inside the camp will cast a low level fire nuke (Burst of Flame?)which I almost always resist, but the Guards have never casted on me yet. They do hit pretty hard and have a lot of hit points, but to my knowledge they don't cast at all. They drop 4-5pp each and Brownie parts.
Equestrielle the Corrupted Problems.
# Apr 16 2002 at 7:12 PM Rating: Default
I have been camping the brownie guards with my 58 mage, but i have recently encountered Equestrielle the Corrupted. She HT'd me for about 400 and i jetted while my pet took the fall. Anyone know a safe place to pull the brownie guards to to keep from getting unexpectedly jumped by Equestrielle the Corrupted?. If not, can a 58 mage take the horse? or is it a undercon (40). plz Post here or email me at kewlperson@hotmail.com. thanx

I was wondering about where to go for solo exp up to 60. (Group exp in the planes is great, when there's a good group.) Brownies + Equestrielle revenge looks pretty good.

If you look at the Equestrielle threads, you'll see some beauts like this:

"This Horse is pretty much the only reason I'm playing this game....I'm going to work my Warrior to the bone to go and kill this *****-*** horse. And I'm going to celebrate when I kill him. HE KILLED MY FIRST CHARACTER! I NEVER FOUND HIS BODY AGAIN!!! This stupid Corrupted Horse is going DOWN!!!

A 58 magician can easily take EtC. The horse has a fairly large aggro range at odd times. I've walked very close to it without it aggroing, but I've seen it suddenly turn and come for me at the edge of my clipping plane.

Also, it gives up a fight very quickly. It won't chase you far. When it gives up a fight, it seems to forget all about you.

An air pet was able to solo it with a DS/BO3 and Muzzle. It wasn't close. I imagine it'd have been a lot closer without the DS.

the horse is a 40 sk... ht hurts yes, but i could solo at 55 (chanter); you shouldn't have any trouble at all. She got ht on me was it, and keeping my pet alive/nuking at the end left me at 60 mana.. so a pretty easy fight.

I was sitting in gfay, had just bought a few stacks of arrow stuff to see if I can get fletching up to 150. I heard someone shouting about wanting to go see the boat. I tracked the name, invised myself, and followed a group of lower levels. about 5 people lvls 5-10 I would guess set off I'm not sure where they went wrong, they headed for Lfay and I was going to say something, but I messaged a friend and bet a friend of mine 5 plat that atleast one would make it through. Well about 2 min later I tracked an incomming brownie scout I think it was. Knocked down 2 of the poor bastards. Lost track of another, sure he died, other one took off for zone, he died, I followed the last one. SoW'd him, started attacking the brownie, he made it. I died.... He, atleast I made 5 plat.

earth elemental llusion
# Feb 15 2002 at 6:40 PM Rating: Good
If you are an enchanter trying to buy the _ Mana spells, you can use illusion earth elemental and they will not aggro. I did the following.
Cast illusion earth elemental.
Cast invisibilty.
Ran into hut with merchants.
Cast benevolence on merchant (not sure if that's necessary).
Bought spells.
Gated.
Amount of HP?

Killed me in about 3 sec had to go invis and drag corpse to zone, I don't like these Brownies
They dont drop anything good
# Jul 03 2001 at 12:19 AM Rating: Good
The brownie guards always drop one stackable "brownie parts". They may also drop a few coins, a "words of..." page, a rune, or an enchanter page, but pages and runes are rare. Don't hunt these guards for loot or experience, only for brownie parts. More loot and better experience can be found everywhere else in the game. Ogre guards in oggok are more fun and profitable. I can kite up to four ogre guards at a time in Oggok by myself. But, one brownie guard is difficult, and i cant do it alone.

A few things i forgot... The enchater should pull with pillage enchantment to strip the buffs off the guard. So, the sequence is (1) ENC: pillage enchantment, (2) DRU: snare, (3) ENC: fear.

The enchanter should mem both fear spells, because if fear is resisted, then the other can be cast. Having to wait to recast fear can cause you to die.

The druid should keep the pet targeted because the pet may drop HP fast, and will need healing. The druid will nuke and dot the pet each time fear breaks.

Sometimes the pet will get rooted, and the enchater will have to cast pillage enchantment on the pet to free it. So, its not very useful to buff the pet, because you will have the strip the buffs whenever the pet gets rooted.
brownie guards are easy to kill

The brownie guards at the brownie village are easy to kill with a 51 druid plus either 51 enchanter or 51 necro. To break the spawn, the caster with the pet waits in the corner of the zone. The druid casts harmony then snares one of the guards and runs to the corner. The pet caster engages the pet and casts fear. keep the guard feared until its dead from pet mele and DOTs. Now that the spawn is broken, you can hang out in front of the village and repeat, snare, fear, dot, with pet hitting the guard. But, the spawn rare is not fast enough to get good exp. I would only do this when i need brownie parts. The guards always drop brownie parts. Also, there are three brownies at a campfire inside the brownie city and a farmer; all four always drop brownie parts. The whole spawn cycle is about 10 or 15 minutes, so you get 20 to 30 parts per hour. Its not real exciting; rather boring, actually. I got much better experience from seafury cyclopses in OOT, because there are more of them, and they are easier. Brownie guards can double hit for 135. Two rounds of mele and one nuke can kill you. Seafury clopses hit me for around 60, and dont cast, so there is a much greater margin of error. If you get lazy with brownie guards, you will die.
Anyone?

I can't say for that one, but me and some friends were coming back from the sister's camp and got jumped by one o' their little buddies. Root, root, dead, dead, and I'm runnin' fer the zone. Bring 'em back to get their bodies, and what happens? Root, root, root, dead, dead, dead. Not a whole lotta fun or XP that day. And it's a pain in the *** to find your corpse in LFay without a Necro.
easy xp
# Feb 18 2001 at 5:52 AM Rating: Default
They are lvl 45, so therefore they give easy Xp to wizzies and mages all the way up to 60. I believe they are on about a 15 min spawn so once broke, its rather easy to keep this camp controllable. If you are on druzzil, and you want to help out and make some plat at the same time, look me up, I always need brownie parts!

I got to close when looking. Wham rooted and two guards hit me for up to 100! I used Lay Hand and got killed before root broke.
