I was able to do turn in with a level 12 character with 16 points into indifference but my other character at level 9 with the same faction was told he needed to kill some more rats. So minimum level is between 10 and 12 for the turn in.

Reebo Leafsway says 'The crops we grow here are mostly carrots, lettuce and squash. We also are the only place on all of Norrath where the soil can support the mystical Jumjum Stalk.' You say, 'What about Nillipuss?' Reebo Leafsway says 'Nillipuss? Oh that dirty brownie keeps stealing our jumjum for his own greedy uses. We certainly would not mind if someone taught him a painful [lesson].' You say, 'What lesson?' Reebo Leafsway says 'He needs to be taught not to steal our jumjum! If you find some jumjum on him, I would appreciate it if you would return it to me.' Nillipus is approximately level 15 and likes to run around the main roundabout in town around Fool's Gold and down the passage by Meeka Diggs. Nillipuss shouts 'Nillipuss, Nillipuss is my name. Stealing jumjum is my game. Think you can catch me? Let's see if you can! I'll always run faster than you ever ran.' Attack him and kill him. not sure if this is a glitch or update, but, seems with he 3/14/07 patch they changed it to only require 1 stalk. i had three stalks, killed nilli, looted 2, gave reebo 1, got a ding, then gave 4 and got 4 dings/xp/rewards.

What do I have to say to Reebo to get him to tell me about the Nilipuss issue?
Ask Reebo "Who is Nillipus" then say "what lesson". You don't have to talk to Reebo before killing Nillipus, just hail him after you collect 4 stalks. "WARNING" these stalks are food, put them in the bank or after your food in your inventory. I have been doing this quest with several toons for years. I've gotten 1 Traveler's pack, 1 ring, several different earrings, and most of the time I get Nothing. I always keep my first inventory slot open hoping to get another pack.

with the introduction of tributes, I find this quest to be pretty nifty way to raise those points :D the rod of identification got me like 80 points I think. I couldnt' see any reason to keep it. so now everything I get from the nillipuss turn in goes to tribute, still haven't gotten a bag yet, maybe I'll open an inventory slot when I turn them in...
Did the turn in today. Got an Earring of Frost Reflection. Same stats as the Earring of Frost Resistance listed above.
Next turn in I did I got the Rod of Identification.

Near as I can tell Nillipuss spawns in north end of zone near the pottery kiln.In camping him quite often I have found him to respawn as fast as 2 hours and 10 minutes- to 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Also having turned in at least 80 jum jum stalks i have gotten the eye of disvan , and5 20% weight red bags , all the other times i got no item , and yes i had plenty of empty space . So as from what i can tell :sometimes you don't get an item as a reward .

Reebo (and indeed none of the others in the area) isn't giving this now, sigh. Handed him 4 stalks off the tiny mite just to see and nothing.

Hmmmm My Arch-Nemisis Nillipus the Brownie. What Can I say about that trash talking, fast walking, short brown pickpocket. I like to squish him under my big halfling foot and feel him ooze up between my toes (hear it's good for the complextion too).

Just drop in on him when getting supplies, We're ole' buddies now... He actually just throws himself out The Mayors window when he sees me coming... It's a nice arrangement.
The moral of this story is: The Nillipus Quest Doesn't always yield more than Coin and Faction (Though it mostly results in Items)

I had this happen to me and the text said he (Reebo) had given me a reward -- sure enough when i checked i had no open inventory slots and the reward went POOF - Live and learn i guess - BTW their time estimate is out to lunch spawn rate is at least 5 or 6 hours and he has never dropped more than two jumjum stalks and often he drops none

I also just completed this quest with my hafling druid of 21. The first time I got a Travellers Backpack, so I made sure I had an empty inventory slot this time (I gave the pack to a friend, since it's Lore).
Reebo gave me the proper response of "Thanks...blah, blah, blah. Take this reward...blah, blah, blah". IT WAS ONLY 12sp(gasp)
I wonder if this quest is broken now, as I don't remember hearing about anyone not getting some kind of item (until your post, Gulliam)?

I cant find the little brownie, according to his level I can prolly beat him, I am a level 20 Human Monk, I am in a guild so I wanna keep beating him down so I can get some stuff for my guildies and for me, anyone know where he usually pops?

He's around but I believe his spawn rate is 6 hours so fairly rare.

Did you buy some of those jumjum stalks, perchance? There are 3 different kinds of stalk in Rivervale. You must use the ones from Nillipus. Only reason I found this out is because the different types don't stack together.

I handed in one jumjum on my 25 druid and got a Wand of Frost Bolts and some cash. So, it seems it's random whether you get an item or not, and it doesn't have to be 4 jumjum.
I'm sure what happened is someone had turned in an odd number of Jumjums earlier. Every 4th Jumjum Reebo will give EXP and usually a reward. I always turn in my Jumjums 1 at a time. If the sequence has been thrown off you may be able to save a Jumjum or two for next time.

Yep, I think Baggen is right about turning in your stalks one at a time. I completed this quest for the first time tonight, turned in four at once & got the cash & a Pierce's Pack one the third one, next time I'll gather four and turn them in one at a time. I made several pp also as the little scoundrel drops 25 to 35 gp each time. A lot of the time he isn't around, I did this over several nights, gating in, tracking for him and if he wasn't around just heading out to do something else.

I have used the Rivervale bank for the last two years, and over that time i collected 4 stacks of jumjum from nillipus. Yes, that's 80 stalks. I finally decided to turn them in today. I tried with my 52 druid a few times and only got coins. I tried with my 53 warrior and only got coins. So, i made a level 1 halfling and tried, but he said something like "how did a low level like you get these, i will see that they get to the propoper place." and he took them givin no reward or experience. Then i tried with my level 15 paly, and only got coins. Is this broken? why do i only get coins.
Being a Rivervale resident I've had opportunity to kill this little fella many times and have turned in countless sets of the Jumjum. I've had this happen a few times where I would only receive coin and no item. But the quest is not broken. I turned in a set of 4 tonight and got the Eye of Disvan mentioned a couple posts below. I'm level 48. If anyone knows what the Eye is for drop a note here. - Baggen
Just got the Pierce's Pouch of Storing tonight, only holds 8 (Large)items but is 20%weight reducing. Great to hold the pelts/skins in !!Better than the Runner's Ring I've gotten the last 5 or 6 times.
I've killed Nillipus many times and have yet to get that pack. However, after turning in 4 stalks, Rebo gave me an Eye of Disvan. Looks like a lightstone, has no stats and is MAGIC.
If anyone has any idea on what this is for, please post.

To everyone who wants to know about this quest well. Ive killed Nillipuss at least forty times, personally (Tip: Go to Rivervale to bank everytime to increase chances of running into him. He spawns in intervals of 2 to 4 hours and may skip spawn, so keep a timer or stop watch to reduce "camp time" from the last time you killed him). I also did this quest serveral times recieving Traveler's Pack, Traveler's Pouch, Eye of Disvan (Dunno what its for be checking it out), etc. The quest is well worth it. Remember he is a Ranger/Druid so keep him snared unless you want a long fight. (Tip: Keep him rooted behind a wall so you can avoid DDs since NPC casters have to be in the "line-of-sight" of the person). Also remember to give the full 4 Nillipuss dropped Jumjum, for even with "Ally" faction he wont accept 3. Here are some respective estimates on the chances of getting an item: Ratio of 1 to 10 (From my experience). Items are given randomly, however. Its an exciting and worth-while quest!
