This quest takes two "Fairy Dust" (drops off of the Faerie's and Fairy's (ed. for sp.) in Lesser Faydark), not "Faerie Dust". Quest still works, just completed today.

Find an undead knight up on the 3rd floor in Temple of Solusek Ro at +405, +80, +31 on the west side.
You say, 'Hail, an undead knight' An undead knight says, 'Away from this place of torment! Make haste and flee before you, too, share my [gruesome fate]!' You say, 'gruesome fate' An undead knight says, 'I was once a proud shadowknight, but failed I did in my master's quest. I was sent into a lizard fortress deep in the swamplands. I was to seek out an ancient item for my master. I failed and was captured. The lizards stripped me of my [darkforge armor] and planned to boil me alive. Before they could do so, I escaped. Upon my return to my master's lair I found myself in a [worse predicament].' You say, 'darkforge armor' An undead knight says, 'I and I alone have the power to create darkforge armor! It was crafted for me so naturally it is to be worn by shadowknights only. My armor was taken by the lizardman crusaders. Unfortunately for them, it lost all power and cannot be worn. I would be glad to see it put to good use. Do you [seek the darkforge armor]?' You say, 'seek the darkforge armor' An undead knight says, 'Darkforge gauntlets require both of my decayed gauntlets and one enchanted platinum bar. What drops the faerie dust? Obviously one of the faeries, but which one?

I have an SK lvl 31 on the Tribunal server. My question is this. With my alt, I have been collecting the decayed pieces of armor from the the NW point of the Lizzy island. Easy spot to camp. Only problem is, can I still do this quest? My alt is a druid, not an SK. So, have I been wasting my time? If so, can faction be upped so that I can do this quest? Thank for any assistance.

I think some decaying armor is also dropping off of Tae ew spiritualists. Looted the decaying left boot off one tonight

The pieces I've been told drop in The Feerott now, near the entrance to Cazic Thule. I'm not quite sure myself, but I plan to verify it soon enough since I just got to lvl 33. =)

Yes, drops at the little temples just outside of the CT zone. Apparently every lizard out there is a ph for the elusive crusaders (cleared 3 pyramids about 4 times each... nadda). But there is the Tae Ew Spiritualist that is at a camp (I think loc is around -400, +400?) If you follow the water's edge, you'll come to a little pillar that has 4 mobs on it... 3 of the generic fanatic/zealot/etc, and one that is one of three mobs... a silvered Tae Ew observer (drops the silvery wand, enc quest), Radiant (drops the gloves for an enc quest), and finally the Tae Ew Spiritualist (grimy lance + 1-2 pieces of decayed)
Spawn time on those three seems to be somewhere around 30 min... silvered is common spawn, spiritualist seems to be uncommon (altho with my luck, I'm almost gonna say rare... hehe) and Radiant rare (I actually only seen about 6 Radiant spawns in a 12 hour block)

i zoned into GF after getting a quick port to SF, i called an /auction WTB fairy dust (not pixie),
had a tell in a few minutes and payed 5pp for the two. Was happy cause after getting the decay, at that stage all i wanted was to get the darn DF boots already hehe

You can camp Crusaders at the top of acherons temple by pulling the mobs to the second tier corner away from stairs solo st level 45ish...but its risky up until 50+ solo.
If you can clear the floor and the top, he can pop on the group level 2.
Lizards do not help each other between levels, but stay clear of the stairs or they might.
Fairy dust: I recall seeing it drop off ...hmmm. Fairies i think.
The legs are the rarest drop. Helm and BP second rarest. Crusader can also drop multiples. Crusaders are not on a timer per se...ive seen two pop on same spawn...right after each other.

You can also get the decayed armor from the Ritualist that spawns every 1hr30min to 2hr45min. Believe me. I have timed it for the last 6 days getting all the decayed armor pieces for all the Darkforge armor. He drops anywhere from 1 to 3 pieces at a time. He is found in the maze in Cazic. Make sure you take a pet and send him in first to take the HT or the fight isn't too much fun if you are alone.

Okay been hunting in the temple the last few days and no Sk's have been there in the last day, so i figure now is as good a time as any to do this quest with my druid for my SK alt (didn't want to do it when i'd be taking kills from actuall full time SK's who need it more).
Now the only thing i CAN'T do with my druid is get the fairy dust. Sorry, I'm not THAT bad of an RPer. So that i have to actually get on as my SK alt and do with him.
Now is it true that i can get them in Greater Faydark off even the dinkie low level faeries? This is what i need to know, because my SK is not high enough to go to LFay but Gfay he's fine (he's human, so you'd be surprised where he can go. I know the Dwarves didn't KoS him last time i took the boat).

Yes the stuff does drop off fairies in Gfay. Just not very much. (Of course)

I've gathered all the peices to decayed armor i can tell you this. Camp the ritualist! he drops it all and on my server has a spawn rate 2.5 hours yes boring but you can make money killing near by defenders to buy the enchanted bars of plat get the chanter to buy them much cheaper.

I quested the full suit for a twink shadowknight. i did it with my 44 ranger it was easy. Hardest part was the helm because i got the visor and coulnt get the decaying helm to drop.so i had to pay 1k to loot it

In the Temple of Solusek Ro there are 2 Undead Knights. One of them you hand in the items for Helm, BP, Vambraces, and Bracers. The other Undead Knight does not respond to hails.
Do you hand the items for the lower body pieces to this other knight even though he does not repond to hails? Where do you turn in the items for the DF Boots, Greaves, and Guantlets? Is the other Undead Knight bugged since the last patch?

anyone know if faerie dust is same as fairy dust? i know pixy dust isnt because ive tried that and i know it dosnt work. but i dont wanna loose my boots again. im trying to find out and no one seems to know.

Crusaders are level 35 as is the ritualist. You can find them easy by casting sense the dead as they have skelle pets.
Both of them open with a 321HP HT. It hurts, but no big deal.
Invis yourself to get close to them. Check the area out and ensure that there are no Heralds nearby. If there are, wait. There is nothing worse than countering his HT with yours, beating him down to a quarter health and then the stupid hearald heals him back to almost full.
I almost died on the platforms because 2 heralds were healing the sucker. Thank god for FD.

If a crusader uses harm touch and it hits for 321 damage, then the crusader is lvl 32. The formula for harm touch damage is the lvl of the sk times 10 plus 1. I can't verify the ht damage because I kill them with my enchanter and use rune 3 to absorb the ht.

Wrong! That formula certainly does not apply for harmtouch as I ht for 820 at lvl 54.

Its the right formula thru at least 40th, and if you haven't either, a)bought your character on e bay, or b) flunked 2nd grade math, you would know the first level your harm touch stopped following the 1+(level times 10) damage. and with 8th grade math capabilities deduce the new formula from experience.

I don't see any undead faeries on the bestiary list... where do I get the dust?!
Who said anything about UNDEAD Faeries? I'm posting this because I know it was a headache for me to find out where Faerie dust is dropped. I had both decayed boots by the time I hit 30 and thought I should go find the final piece (2 Faerie dust) and found out through my guild that it drops in Lesser and Greater Faydark. I found my first piece in Greater Faydark right after porting in but the Faeries are rarer there I assume cause I saw mostly Pixies. They were ridiculously easy to kill at 30 in Greater Fay (noob zone) and it seems to me that any type of Faerie has the potential to drop the dust. The Faeries in Lesser Fay are a bit trickier. They are located at the Faerie camp which can be seen on a map. I could solo the Faerie guards one at a time easily but single pulling them is near impossible at that lvl. This is incidentally the first time that FD saved my life despite a LOT of fizzles. I went back with a Troll SK friend when we were both around 33 and we destroyed the camp in its entirety. We must have looted about 7 Faerie dust that time. You just have to have fun with it. I remember it being really therapeutical to hear the faeries go Uh! Ouch! after spending 4 weeks in Cazic Thule gathering decayed armor and lvling haha.

I haven't actually done this quest yet (or any of the Darkforge quests for that matter), but it looks like you can get the Decaying Armor (all types, including the boots) from a Lizard Crusader in Cazic-Thule. As far as I know, that is the only place to get this type of armor.

If you can get the Boots (which are about as hard as any other piece of decayed) then you have this quest licked. You don't have to go the faerie city in lesser faydark, all faeries drop dust, even the level 10 ones that wander around greater faydark. Once you get the boots, just go to Greater Fay and wait on orc hill. There are usually a couple of faeries that wander through that area.
Pretty good quests considering its relative ease (as compared with the other in the series) and the Boots actually have useful stats.
