if your trying for a runes totem staff an easy way to get it under level 20 is to go to lake rathe zone line next to SK and wait for someone to kill a shammy caryying one...since they are lore alot a times someone will let ya loot it cause they already got one ..or a group of 18 + could easily manage one ...look for a gnoll on left holding a staff...kill him fast but beware of added mobs...Bonus is theres a zone line right there if your in trouble...

I am a bard of the 19th song, and he conned blue. So I decided to attack him. He does this wierd spell for like 74pts of damage but I twisted bellow and hymn together. Killed him with 120 hp left. Bards can't solo spell casters
Just ran into one of these this morning. He conned blue to my level 18 Ranger. Worried me a bit when he started casting on me. Drowsy, Feverish, Poison, Frost Rift and Burst of Fire not to mention the 8 to 25 points each time he bashed me. Ouch! Killed him with about half my life left, only got the cracked staff, raw hide shoulder pads and some gold and silver. :(

I looted a Rain Water off of this guy tonight, don't know what it's for. I checked the site on quests and equip but found nothing. Someone suggested it was for a warrior quest. Any ideas?

Rain water is a component used in making Deity specific armor.. Rodcet Nife to be exact. You need Rain Water, Griffenne Blood and 2 Essence of Sunlight to make one temper.
Close, but not quite right. Royal temper, made with the recipe described, is used to make ENCHANTED full plate armor, using the Qeynos forge. It is not seity specific. all of the diety specific imbued field plate armor is made using sea temper, regardless of deity. Rodcet nife armor uses an imbued opal, thats why it's deity specific. As far as I know, Royal temper is the only use for rain water, and it drops of gnolls in many zones, highpass, ek, bb, etc.

I also found Rain Water on a refuge Splitpaw. I would appreciate someone telling me if it is for a warrior quest or not becaus i found it with my warrior.

I'd guess that it hits for 18-19 hps. given that it's dmg is 8.

i would like to know how much the staff hit's for??? refugee splitpaw and a elite, kicked my ***, and i'm a lvl 13 wood elf.. it was kind of odd..chris aka lynel (in the game)..

hey sorry to burst yer bubble but u said at lvl 13 u got yer @$$ kicked by the refugee and an elite? if u scroll up u would see that the minimum lvl for just the refugee is 13... the MINIMUM lvl. quite frankly i wouldve bet my darkmail guantlets that u wouldnt survived... especially when the elite showed up. =P

For all of you wandering they stopped that loot from him. To many people where getting the staff and he is so easy to kill. He cond red to me and i still solod him at level 12. So now he only drops a cracked staff and a few gp. That is it.

This fellow no longer seems to drop the RTS, at least on Xegony. It's been replaced by a cracked staff. Very irritating.

Yes, it seems this is the case. I've now spent an entire level within Blackburrow and have looted 6-7 Cracked Staffs off these guys. A few months ago I know I took another character in here and *bam* first Refugee I saw it dropped the Runed Totem Staff. Has anyone looted one off them in the past week or so? Thanks.

If you go under the brige and head to where the burly Noll spawns in the rome strait behing him there are like 5 nolls and an ealit gard kill the ealit gard and wait soon the refugie will spawn
Mainly in the room near the snakepit where about 5 elite gnoll guards spawn as well.

And actually, it is a very good weapon in certain circumstances. I am level 60 and occasionally still use it. The reason for this is the stun proc. Ir procs a LOT with high enough DEX (properly buffed, mine is 255). This makes a pair of them a superb--not to mention cheap--method of interrupting those nasty caster npc's you'd really prefer to not have casting things like IC on you.

I saw this guy the other day when the little group I was in camped the room. For 2 Shadow Knights(11 and 12) and a Necro(11) He was tough but no problem. Pain trying to chase him down when he ran. He dropped the RTS, a bronze long sword, and something else I think.

My friend was running through BB, he's level 46.... he was supposed to go on a Vox raid but it got cancelled so, he was running through BB and he comes across this "Splitpaw Refugee" so, he nukes it, him being a necromancer and all. He loots the corpse and low and behold........ he drops a Runed Totem Staff and a Gnoll Hide Lariat... I think it's quite strange really....

Dropped the RTS for me, as well as spiked shoulderpads. Not too bad for a level 15 mob. He popped in the elite room. Couldn't tell how hard he was, cause I'm level 31 - he didn't give me much trouble.

Ya, the other things dropping in BB now, such as Gnoll hide Lariats more frequently (sucky weapon procing at 30 LOL) RTS, Rusty spiked shoulders, sp gloves mask tunic and belt..

hey. Rusty Spiked Shoulder have always dropping to Blackburrow, off the a Gnoll Commander (somewhat rare drop), and the Gnoll Hide Lariat procs at 20 (stun is a nice proc, consider it an off hand weapon until you can get a good one.) thanks.
