I just killed it tonight and it also casts Harm Touch. I'm guessing it's this one -> https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=88 since that's the only one alla lists as being resistible and I resisted it. It only cast it once; I don't know if that's a limit it has or just that the fight didn't last too long.
Also, for those interested, killing it counts towards Conqueror of The Plane of Fear achievement.

done solo on a 100 ranger 60k hp 5500ac unbuffed
once he died which took about 10 seconds then entire zone of trash came to his aide, i took them all out minutes later easy.

If I am incorrect with this statement someone feel free to make necessary changes: Cazic was imprisoned and placed in an endless sleep by his son and daughter respectively (Morell and Terris). He sleeps in the Upper Floors of House of Thule and hence his dream is the zone "Fear, Itself". The shade is essentially the same encounter that Cazic previously was but for the sake of lore was replaced.

Yah - I sent this in. This guy replaced old CT on the spawn table - same loot table, so far as I can tell same fight.
