Tattered Cloth Note That guy has resisted ALL my root spells so far (i'm a level 20 Druid), so I decided to change tactics.
I charmed the highest level beast I could find (a kodiak) and let it hit the b*stard. In the meantime I kept on casting DOT and nuking.
I didn't stand a chance when the kodiak died but at least I got him below 50% HP.

This guy bested me in my early 30's. He's one of the most infamous undercons in game.

Just ran into this guy today and wanted to post some info on him from my perspective. I was medding my 40 pally in WC near the entrance to Befallen and he aggroed me. I beat on him quite a bit to kill him, so he must be a bit of an undercon. Also, he resisted nearly every one of my roots. When it did stick, it lasted about 10 seconds. Thought that might be interesting for someone, and may perhaps save someone who will depend on root when fighting him. He barely touched me at my level, but the root resists were annoying. He dropped the sealed note.

I've hated Gix ever since he made stuffing of my 13 druid on a run to Rivervale to check out the scenery for the very first time. Fast forward a couple of months. I'm now level 27 and zoned into WC to buy my 29 spells in advance. Pull up track, hey there's Gix. Conned light blue. Went up till he was barely in my range and cast Ensnaring Roots (it stuck), then snare (resisted), snare (this one stuck), Creeping Crud and Stinging Swarm (two dots). Nuked him down to 1/2 health and the root broke, then backed up, watched the dots work, nuke nuke and dead Gix. No harm touch or 181 point nuke this time. But wow, did it feel great!

Ported into west commons this morning with my 29 lvl druid, hit track and to my amazement Kizdean Gix conned light blue!
I love killing him and if I can still get exp - even better!!! Snare, DoT repeat. He did blast me for 191 points of damage. Seemed to be higher than lvl 19.
5sp, 5cp and a note was all there was too loot. But the warm feeling inside was worth it.

Kiz will harm touch you for 150+ right off the bat and will probably waste you bad down to about 1/2 health. This happened to my 26 ranger everytime and so I would run and zone. I found something that helped me though. First off, make sure you have sow. Then just get in there and kick his butt the best you can. If he starts getting you to about half health and he is still looking fairly good then run. I ran at about 1/3 health and he was about half. I ran all the way to almost kithicor woods and saw that he had quit pursuit. SO I hurried and healed up to about 3/4 and ran back to him. I engaged him a second time and this time he was much easier. He cast a lot fewer spells and didnt hit very hard. Get him below a fifth and he gives up. Dont know if this will work for everyone but after dying so many times at his hand I was so happy to finally get him back. Hope this helps. Also a snare of some sort before you run helps alot.

My Level 27 druid had to zone to run away from him since he nuked me for 181 points of damage the first sec I meet him. Hehe his is such an undercon.

That would be harm touch.Harm touch does 11 damage at level 1, 21 at 2, 31 at 3, etc. so at level 18 any pally would do 181 damage with harm touch.
For all those that care lol:
Spawn time is 8 minutes at location -175, 270... Nice if you have to build faction for druid or ranger quest. He's got alittle more then 1k of Hit Points. Drops 1plat to pocket change. Harm Touched for 106hp. I guess he is a SK lol Hope it helps

I HATE this guy...I mean REALLY hate him. He's killed me at least half a dozen time...just for wandering around his turf (understandable, since I'm a pally). Anyway, My buddy and I decided it was payback time after we put a few levels on, and struck out for WC. After finding him, and getting ready to relish the carnage to follow, we waded into battle, figuring it would be easy (I'm 22, my pal is 21)...NOT! After wiping the floor with my bud, and nearly doing the same with me, I finally sixed his dark elf ***...all for 6 lousy silver and that damned stupid note. Did I mention that I hate him?

I have to admit, the number of people who hate this guy is laughable. Because we all know he is an undercon, he is one HELL of an enemy, but imagin him as a friend. A reason im a Dark Elf. and a strong reason at that

I was visiting the shops near Gix's hangout, when he took an interest in my well being. Being a 17 Ranger, I decided to run for the circle of Gueards towards the East end. I made it to the circle, but much to my dismay, someone had just killed all of them. I was next.
On the corpse run, I had camo'ed myself, and looked for that inker. Instead I found Gix's corpse! I looted it for whatever I could find (which was not much). When I finished, I looked up to see to beings running in my general direction. It was Dragoon Zytl and pet! They were aggroing on innocent little me for looting the corpse. From way the Hell out there!!
On the next corpse run, I was camo'ed, and dragged my corpse back to the guard circle to reoutfit myself. I camo'ed again, and went about my business.

You were probably attacked because of 2 reasons:
1. You Ranger, most likely half elf or wood elf;
2. You got in a fight with him and your faction already sucked, so Dragoon instantly hates you, and he has scarey aggro range when he dont like you, eh.

My level 13 druid has gotten waxed my this guy many times. I enlisted the help of my level 42 paladin friend and enjoyed watching the slaughter.

could a level 24 warrior with wurmy solo this guy?
I think you might be able to slaughter him, depending on your class. It is very much desired to root him, since he runs away all the time as soon as he has figured out he'll be defeated.

what is the sealed note for, that he drops?
I think the sealed note is the item someone receives when he is hailed for a quest instead of being killed (give this to .... blabla). .... I could be wrong ....
I have a level 12 wood elf ranger and i have read a lot of these posts and i dont think ive ever had a problem with Kizdean but i have had a problem with Dragoon Zytl. Ithink he tries to find me when im in that zone. I also noticed that you all say that Gix is underconned but if you think about it arent all the dark elf npc's underconned like the guy in cb and the other one in nro. I just say if you see a darky dont f*ck with him unless he cons green. =P

I kill gix every time i see him and the other spawn .....i too have been struck down by him...but i have returned the favor ten fold:)

These two casters are on my list of Hits. I have spent several corpse runs in WC and CB with these two members of the VI Board. These guys are the most under conned SOBs in the game.
So for all of those who can Kick his **** for me and everyone that has met him.

Oh Hell yeah. I watched a hit of Gix after a druid ran to the ring for help and saw him take a bit of damage for a while, no big whoop but he had heavy hitters going at him and he kept moving. That clued me he was a hitter himself, my rule generaly is to avoid the named ones.
No big whoop I explore Gix attacks, run to ring, heavy hitters take him out, thank them, I go on.
I check the beastiary, lvl 18-19 *pftt* I can take him
WRONG!!!!! I go to the inn over the hill and do a bit of selling of pelts BAM I loose control. Here I was about to go after him and he attacks me in the building (I know I'm not safe there) and suddenly I'm on spin cycle (for 2 minutes+) and getting nauscous just watching waiting to come out of it. Soon as I stop I think "Yer @#%$@ is mine Gix.....uhoh 1 bub health....RUN!!!!!" I barely made it to the ring for help just over the frikkin hill.
In short unless you are a heavy hitter keep your eye out for this guy along the desert edge at night and for the cries of those of use who stumble on the b%@#$%^^d If you hear a cry of GIX you know someone just got agroed and is most likely headed for the ring.
PS. he has a HUGE agro zone and if you have visual confirmation it means he will probably be in range to attack

Exactly my thoughts, the only humorus part is the fact that he will fear kite you, getting you back for all of the kitting that us players have done to the monsters.

Not KOS to Human monks, at least not mine. Never camped orcs with him in Gfay.
I just realized that my Paladin is high enough lvl to cut him down pretty good. Done it about 5 times in the last 2 days.

all I can say is join the club. Everyone is kos to someone, and Gix reminds us that we need to con every npc out there before walking near them.

Truer words have never been spoken. My first encounter with Gix was running right up to him to hail him. As a wood elf druid, he did not take kindly to me. Needless to during the corpse run, I had time to reflect on my experience and learn a valuable lesson. CON EVERY NPC BEFORE YOU APPROACH THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME! (and every so often to npc's that were dubious or better to you in the past, never know where surprises are gonna happen)

When i first started hunting in wcas 15 rngr to get bear pelts i was going along preaty as u please when i see dark elf i go around him and boom 190 hp youch,i try to run he runs up to me,im now wood elf boots on inky.i came through when 35 doing hero bracer faction,milk to mojax when bam 175 ht giz,i smile turb about actually got snare to stick and begane nuking and waking with wurmy,helped that i had chanter haste hee. he got me down to 1 bubble i said me or u blue boy,i won,lol,yeah felt good.

i never hunted in wc just ran through. this trip however i ran into gixx, didnt know who he was... umm he didnt laswt very long about 5 seconds...thats how long it took to cast my nuke

I am a happy lvl 14 bard , and got 1 bulb exp in 1 hour at WC. When I was on my way to Befallen, I was attacked by this guy. Four hits and I was a dead man.
I ran from East Freeport and wanted to get back my corpse. This time I walked slowly and tried to
/corpse my body. Very unfortunately, he found me again and killed me at once.
His factions should add one : Verant.
Kizdean Gix helps Verant keeping players online longer, just struggle the way up in order to get revenge on him.
He is really a good friend of Verant.

ahh...after having a great day of killing both guards in WC i go on my merry way to hand in 500 bottles (lol) of milk to Mojax at the lake to work on my nfp and further destroy my w/efp faction. I'm a lvl 36 rogue and after killing the guards was down to about 3 and a half bubs of life. As i'm handing in milk enjoying the water - BAM - i see about 5 resists and the next thing i know not only is sow gone but i'm screwed....i ran the lil ******* to the ring with 1 bub of life - moral of the story - NO WHERE IS SAFE from this little ***** lol. i think we should have an all server kill kiz day =) bah

At level 11 I got tired of hunting in Blackburrow and the Karanas so I ran from qeynos to FP. Running through WC minding my own business and Bam. Before I even know what has happened I'm dead. I had bound in RV so I run back, don't see him around, walk up to my corpse and what do you know I am dead again. I saw him next time but managed to sneak up to my corpse and get everything and excape. Kind of reminds me of Tovax Vmar in QH except way more powerful.
