What the heck is an Al-mete? I don't see any meaning for the word online except in EQ.

Some kind of foraged edible but what? An insect perhaps? A lizard? A type of dwarf?

It's probably supposed to mean "The meat" in Alaran language. Item lore says it's "Chunks of meat from braxi, gorals, or selyrahs".

mete (plural metes or meten) Food, nourishment or comestibles; that which is eaten: A store, reserve, or supply of food or nourishment. An individual portion of food, especially when cooked. Meat; (an item of) food made from the (usually cooked) flesh of animals.

Al = could be where you eat as in Al Fresco or how your noodles are done as in Al Dente.
