Its a nice weapon, but it dropped for us during cursed cycle, and someone spent 5 dkp on it just to keep it from rotting, lol.
Exiled in the same zone. Got screwed and got 1 from both of them in the same night =\.
wtf why would any pally/sk use this instead of a 2hs...this may be a nice back up weap for caster mobs or something ( or as on my server, sullon zek, good for pvping against casters since u can bash) other than that i would pick a 2hs over this pos regardless of stats ratio

because 25ac, 100hp on your primary weapon along with whatever shield you have (likely capable of having Twice Forged Steel Bulwark [50ac 15sta 100hp + others] if you can kill cursed cycle) makes you a very capable tank on difficult targets. i'm hoping to pick one up soon, or Frostwrath, for that very reason. getting the hell pounded out of me in Hard LDoN has made me appreciate items like this.
sometimes you need to sacrifice DPS for mitigation, and rely on the rest of your group to kill mobs while you hold the aggro and absorb the blows. there is more than DPS to the endgame.

Dunno. But you ever see one of those 21/25 maces out of the CoD hit? At lvl 53, I often hit in the 100-110 range with just a minor str buff (str at 150ish). Not bad at all....+bash damage...which also interrupts spells and 1 round of an attack I think.
With a shield (mine is ac 35), you add 60 ac and over 150hps. Not a bad set-up at all. Then again, it really depends on what two-hander you are wielding.

I just got this and being lvl 55 it is absolutly sweet. effective dmg 23 dly 21 (dmg 23 due to disease dmg modifier)
This is now a 21/21 weapon now, not 21/23, new image submitted.

Posted: Feb 02 2002 at 11:56 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) they have really been buffing up the pali/sk weapons...this is friggen awesome. +25ac on a weapon? heh you'll most likely have abotu that amount on your shield :P (well actually if ur in ssra i doubt it) but either way this is super uber for either class (although if i was rolling against and a pali and lost i'd be pissed...)
This is one damn nice weapon, GRATZ to anyone who got this. =) SK weapon mostly.
As a Paladin, I have to agree that this should be defaulted to SKs. +15 Int with no +Wis, not to mention that most SKs will have higher 1h-blunt skills (due to MoSS) than Paladins will.
True, would prolly go to SKs, but I wouldn't mind having one, I've been raising my pallies other skills in hopes of some sweet luclin drops that weren't 1hs or 2hs (just like they did w/ Velious). Looks like I made the right decision in doing so. Grats to who got this. Hope we see more gear like this.
