Sporali Gatherer dropped one. /loc 170, 40 near the moldmaster spawn point.
Got Sporali Defender's Blade off moldmaster just before i killed the Gatherer.

This or A Bone Talisman i would go for bone talisman 4+ wis and only 30 or so pp
Put this in secondary and stein in primary! duh unless you get a secondary better than this

Just out of curiosity, why would somebody spend close to 300pp on this thing? For wis casters, the CGS is far better and not much more depending on the type of deal you get. Stein of Moggok's can be found left and right in standard auction zones for 150-200pp. Both of these things have better stats by far with the exception of AC part on the stein. I know this thing looks a lot nicer than a coffee mug but are looks more important than survivability?

Pretty Crappy when you get up higher, but do you think that bothers me. On my wizzy I don't even care about stats on most items, Mana is nice, Int is nice, Foci and FT are very nice, but its all pointless. Bind, PoK Gate, C3/C5 for 20pp, Gate.
Got A Drogmor, thats always medding, thats a huge upgrade from just some FT items (medding is 1/10 of your Meditation Skill which is 25m/tick).
Get a cleric to Blessing (Spell haste) you and a Mage to summon a Damage Bracer... there is little point for anything else. Heres the point, until you get real high no stats on a wizzy mean ANYTHING! I could play my Wizzy Naked and he'd be just as good as he is now!
Once you are high, the only reason to have high mana is to be able to burn down things that have a TON of HP, other then that all you need is HP and Resists... When playing a wizzy play for looks and fun!!!

Bought one for 250pp on Saryn Server... beats out my Shiney Brass Sheild. For those who havn't caught it already, it looks like shimmering orb, a pulsing white shield thing... also acts as a major light source... hooray...
i would have to say that the lvl of 35 is not correct cause i got this while it was just me at lvl 20 and still have it so who konws
I agree with this being missed. I (lvl 31 druid) and a 22 lvl pally got this. If i didn't already have my testament, this would make me a very happy camper.

Tried selling to a merchant to check price on it and he didn't want it. Seeing how it's lore, I'm guessing part of a quest?

lore doesnt mean it's part of a quest, it means you can only have on on your inventory and/or in your bank at one time

No, it isn't a quest, they just don't want high levels farming it for about 200 plat each shield.

It drops off the moldmaster as well as randomly off all other sporali except for the defenders. Got 7 in one evening... lore though so i let other people loot.
I'm a 21 Mage hunting in Runnyeye and got this gem tonight off a Sporali (those ugly mushroom men) in Runnyeye.
It appears as a shimmering white light on your arm.
I should add, I find Runnyeye terribly difficult to hunt in for a mage. Almost everything aggros on my pet making crowd control impossible.

As a 29 mage i have not many problems hunting in dungeons. You just need to keep your wits about you and keep a tight rein on your pet. Also its good to use air pets indoors because their invisiblitiy means less aggro!

what zone does this drop in? either i'm bugged or they don't list a zone. Looks like a decent shield to pick up, anyone know if its the rare or the common? thanks

this is amazing...a nice shield for low lvl casters indeed..but i would rather use the staff of the observers until a few 5 int gives 25 mana.

Got one from a regular shroom... forget the exact name but it wasn't the Moldmaster, or even a Defender.
I assume the picture is correct and that this shield has +25 mana, and not +25 HP as the text above says.

it also says on the link above to "send a correction" cause I would assume running a very large site like this, the site ops dont go around reading every post to find errors.
