Maybe rodcet nife has a screwed up economy, but the prices you guys talk about on here are just ridiculous. people would laugh you right off the game ifyou tried to sell this for anymore than 1k, and that is a push.
That's B.S. that clerics can't use. What's the point of putting 7wis on it if only int casters can use? trade skills I guess, but it seems like a waste ;/
It's another one of Verant's evil tricks. Kinda like the tola robe. Best haste in the game (from what I hear) on a caster only item... The robe still whoops though =)
Tola robe is nice with haste - I know as a necro, you can tank for your pet.
think of this equation:
Haste robe Staff of Undead Legions call up Minion of Shadows (53 BSing pet) and turn taunt off then, rune yourself and get 3 buffs:
Virtue - clr = HPs Nights Dark Terror - enc = Max DEX for proc Skin of Immolation - mag = DS for extra DPS
pull an undead MOb, and slow with shackle of spirit (undead slow) and throw Eternities Torment (undead DoT) on it. Step in, and tank for your pet, while it Back Stabs. Don't forget to cast quick life taps to help keep you on top.
The tolajumpy robe is 36% haste, the uber haste items tend to be 41%. However, 36% is the traditional norm for dragon-loot. (CoF, CoCW, Cloak of peity, ETC)
ok so what its got -5 charisma. id give up 5 charisma any day for those resists and hp alone! yes alone!come on now u guys are complaining about the negatives look at teh positives this thing is uber in groups and raids. this thing lets me take an eztra hit on my lvl 49 enc while killing seafurys incase the tank cant keep off. im a gnome enchanter with a stein in second melee and i think i look great. lol i brought my baking skill up just to have sum bite behind the look. Picked up one of these on Xev today. Traded GBS for it, which kind of ripped off the other person. Easier to sell than GBS. Oh well, and by the way, this is on my 19 cleric - non twink (cause I like to play the game the way it was made to be played).
since i am a enchanter, and i will be very rich someday, I think i would that this item would come in handy. When i make my fine jewelry, int determains how fast my skill raises, and my wis determains how successful i am at making the jewelry (for those who didnt know). slip this in and it raises those areas quite nicely. Also when i need to solo something at a camp or something, i would find this good. Esp. since my evocation is so low.
Your theory that int determines how fast trade skills increase and wis determines success rate was disproved quite a while ago:
Quote from Brad McQuaid: "WIS: affects the amount of mana the priest classes have, also rangers; also affects how quickly you can learn many skills if your wisdom is higher than INT." - Brad"
Quote from Yakatizma, Verant employee on EQ Boards:
"Without revealing the details of the equations the relationship is as follows. The higher of either Int. or Wis. effects both the chances of success and the rate at which skill points are gained. The forthcoming various stat bonuses for various skills, such as the strength bonus for blacksmithing will provide a success bonus that will stack with the Int/Wis bonus."

Equip this on primary with Stein of Moggok on second and you have a total of +17int. I'm a level 50 Necro and wouldnt mind having this at ALL. LOst on the roll to guildmate but was the looted it and tried it out. Very NICE stats additions. Newbies who say this is a joke? Well obviously I will be laughing at you running by me in your Senior Apprentice robe. This item is not the most uber item but for the stats it gives off a mob to easy to kill? You bet your retarded *** this is a nice item. Have a great day.
The reason your h2h went up is because this is no longer classified as a weapon. Verant has decided to make this no longer a 1hb item. Its just like tomes now.
I have tested myself and compared with a lot of necros and i think cha DOES NOT really effect fear duration/resist at all. Magic resist of mob really determines the hit success of fear spells. The - char DOES hurt charm duration tho. It would make sense that lower cha would make a necro more fearsome, but i do not think that is the case. Also remember that there are high level necro items that give +cha as well as -cha, i think here is some more of verants twisted sense of humor at work to keep us guessing lol.
actually, charisma/charismatic means how how well you are able to maniuplate others to work towards your own personal interests, and how persuasive you are, and the like... it doesnt necessarily mean attractive, therefore unscary
so, imagine this in real life... you have two necromancers who are both trying to fear something, one who is very uncharismatic, akward, and rather unimpressive, and the second who is highly charismatic and therefore having a better knack for mental maniuplation, comes across as very intimidating... which one do you think would fear away monsters more? the uncharismatic necro or the highly charismatic necro?
just something to think about cause i hear this arguement alot and think it doesnt make sense... if anything verant should make fear check how high your charisma is rather than how low it is
all cha affects is mobs aggro and selling/ buying prices of merchants. as in mobs aggro i mean by they dont like you more and more the less your int is. like a group if fighting a mob and i walk up smack it once (for 5 because it was a low hit) and the mob turns on me as well as the mob that was OUT of aggro radius for the group but not me. and they beat me down a bit. my cha is 5 :)with crusty engraved bone and the like nothin on fear or anything like that just aggro chanter spells and such
Cha doesn't affect fear in the least. I currently have 1 CHA and my fear is neither better nor worse than it is with 178 CHA. Yes, I tried this out once... for about two weeks. Bought alot of cha gear and made notes. Conclusion: Same rates of resists and duration. I have the notes somewhere, just have to find em in the mess that is my house...
