Well i bought this for 11k on drinal
Have Lammy, Defiance, Lupine, this , SoED, LSoEE and two 2hs. Therefore situational which i wield
usually lupine till proc then this and lsoee offhand. MT then defiance and lsoee etc etc, im a ranger and b4 anyone says it rangers can tank exp groups in 50s, we can guarantee to keep aggro and therefore one target for cleric

well...first, a rogue would NOT use this in his primary hand...give up bs? I think not. Offhand sure why not, but it would probably go to a warrior who didn't have better. As for what drops this...the named dragons in WW. These dragons are not something a single group could handle alone. I've done them with 2 groups of 55-60, and it's a good fight. Nerfing weapons is such a waste. /sigh why nerf stuff? because you will never have one? so ***** the people who have made the effort to get this stuff? with Levels and organization you can attain almost anything in this game. Hey...if you're a rogue and you've got a crapload of plat banked...sit in freeport or where ever and buy one. Or if you're made of tougher stuff...round up a bunch of your friends and go kill some dragons. Other really cool stuff drops in ww, who knows you might just get a sword while you're at it.

There is absolutely no reason to nerf it, it is basically a nice upgrade to jade mace, or any fast prime hand weap.
This blade comes from a high level named dragon in Western Wastes, nerf it? Lol.
Lastly, rogues can only use piercing to do backstabs, which is where the majority of their damage comes from, so this would only be an offhand weap for rogues. It is a -great- prime hand weap, esp for warriors, and also for rangers.
So, there you have it.

K it comes from a dragon and all... but really... where does it come FROM... i dont see it carrying it in its mouth like a dog... maybe as you pummel the dragon you squeeze it out of its ******* or something.

Not 100% sure, but there is something like a 30 / 35 2h pierce

The new warlances are war pal sk useable only. It is 2Hpierce but uses just the pierce skill (verant did that out of convenience... or laziness =). The Heavy Velium Warlance is 32/39 no other stats. Exquisite Velium Warlance is 30/35 like the above post said. Would be amazing to see what a rogue could do with those piercers though haha.

ROFL why wouldnt you use your energy to ask verant to make your class a better weapon or item? hehehe its not like a rogue is now gonna go single handidly take out trakanon or even solo nagafen.some ppl are so funny when they have their priorities mixed up

Well if this doesnt drop off a very high level mob then it should indeed be nerfed, I mean 12 dmg and 21 dly AND rogues can use it? jeez!

But it's a nice offhand weapon for rogues.... oh wait warriors and rangers and bards, and rogues probably aswell, have better offhand weapons.

What, use this in my main melee and lose the ability to backstab? Sure, nerf it because my rogue can use it. Wouldn't use it anyway.

His original post IS valid - just not with this weapon. It appears there is more than 1 exquisite velium weapon out there, including an EV spear which, of course is piercing and used for backstabbing.
Stats of 12/20 and listed on Maximum EQ, rogues ARE going to go ape over it. A comment or 2 sugests the spear is a quest item, but I expect it'll be a drop like this one.
I for one wouldnt want to see it nerfed, but there is going to a lot of interest from rogues. Would also think the spear is tradeable as well.

Yes, Rogues can use it but they arent sposed to use it thou. See why:
1st This weapon here has a HUGE taunt effect - Are Rogues beyond lvl50 sposed to tank? HELL NO
2nd This weapon is a great PRIMARY weapon and 1handSLASH - Do Rogues use 1hs in PRIMARY? HELL NO

It replaced BloodFire for me, and outdamages it by far, and outdamages jade mace in my experience.
I was also able to outtaunt a couple RageBringer rogues, soo, it gets the job done.
