quivers ...
# Sep 30 2002 at 12:36 PM Rating: Excellent
Well, it seems we are all looking for the same answers. The main question to me would be which quivers can be worn in ammo-slot. The Thunderhoof quiver should be able to be put in that slot, but I have the same experience as some others: Mr. Kroldir Thunderhoof seems to be a very rare spawn, or we just don't know how to trigger him into appearing.

My opinion is that, since you wear the ammo i.e. the arrows in the ammo slot, all quivers should fit in there. The quiver should be able to contain throwing material as well (perhaps it can, I never tried this).

Anyway, I will take a deeper look into this. Maybe I can find some more answers. I did quest the 35% weight reduction Jeweled Quiver of the Hand (recommended if you don't have a quiver and you are around level 40 and you want one; it is to be obtained reasonably easily). But, it can't be worn in ammo slot and it is (of course) no drop.

Note: the fleeting quiver doesn't fit in the ammo slot either. A small joy however is that it is really really fast. Goodness gracious, great .....

Ok, this may be obvious to most readers here, but...

NO QUIVER (as of November 3 2003) is placed inthe ammo slot.

Quivers serve the purpose of reducing the delay of the bow, provided the arrow is being drawn from that quiver. Approximately 1/3 of the weight reduction of the quiver is the amount of haste it applies to your bow.

This one is made with the tailoring skill. It has a 60% weight reduction and 6 slots. It seems to reduce the delay on your bow by 20%. Tailoring the quiver does not become trivial until 230. The quivers sell on Prexus for about 4k each.

The Fleeting Quiver ( https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6186 ) is actually trivial at 222 skill in Tailoring.

Quiver speeds
# May 24 2001 at 4:45 PM Rating: Default
If the speed is based off of weight reduction, then the Tailored Quiver will be quicker, since it has a 22% weight reduction. It's also 6 slots.

Now there is a good reason to have a quiver, beside for role playing purposes.

I may be able to sell them now. =)

My question is...
# May 10 2001 at 11:42 AM Rating: Decent
Are there any other quivers out there besides 1) store bought 2) tailor made 3) Thunderhoof 4) Quiver of Kithcor ??

I don't like the idea of walking around with a quiver that can combine and therefore destroy your inventory in a careless moment. Not to mention the fact that its hard enough to get without being camped 24/7 by others actually doing the QUEST.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

Alright, well, as of the new patch today (5/8/01), Quivers now reduce the delay on bows, the amount of reduction being related to the weight reduction of the quiver. But you prolly already knew that, so here's the question...

Has anyone tried to use this thing AS a quiver for arrows other than the ones used in the Ivy-Etched Quest? I'd be interested to if so, and if there is any weight reduction on this quiver. Anyways, just curious.

The quiver had no weight reduction on it, so as I understand it, no haste benefit at all.
