looted off orc centurion in commonlands. seems rather rare.
Be Careful with these belts if you are a caster. I had a great idea, Kill Orcs with my Warrior, Give em to my new cleric (in old days when you laid em on the ground and camped quick or got Guildie to transfer), so she could turn em in for exp. Worked great, leveled her in no time from about 4 to 20 or so. I had so many belts at one time, I was carrying them in my cursor to the transfer point, lol. All great til the cleric went back to the guild in FreePort to buy her spells, "Get out of here you murderer", or something like that, lol. Now my cleric cannot buy spells from her own guild! Seems you ruin faction with the Temple of Marr when you do this quest. It is still great exp, dont get me wrong, but careful if you need the Temple of Marr!

This is because you handed them in to the wrong guild. You handed them in to the Freeport Militia rather than the Steel Warriors. Freeport Militia are the bad guys in Freeport. You want to limit your dealings with them as much as possible if you are a light aligned race or class unless you have a really important reason for doing so. The evil version of this quest isn't worth ruining all your other Freeport factions over unless it leads to a much bigger payoff later or you simply don't care about those other factions.

I have killed thousands of orcs all across Norrath. I have yet to see any DF or CB belt drop off an Orc Pawn.
Orc pawns in CB occasionally drop Orc hatchets. They can be given to Dill Fireshine in the Kelethin Ranger Guild for some faction and a tarnished weapon.
Deathfist type pawns drop orc picks. There are a couple quests for them. Some nice faction with <Coalition of Trade folk Illegal> if you do the one in East Freeport. Quest is called "Lottery Ticket"

The explanation says they're common, but i haven't found ANY. I am a lvl 12 woodelf ranger who has spent his life in Greater Faydark and Crushbone with never seeing, or even hearing of such a belt. Supposedly they're more common than the CB belts. I've found about a kajilion of those so what is wrong? Are they not around there? And are they good for xp?
The page is mistaken in listing these belts as being found on Orcs in Crushbone and GFay. The Orcs there are Crushbone Clan, and drop CB belts, as you've found. In the other places listed the Orcs are Deathfist Clan Orcs, so they drop DF Belts, and they're fairly common - in my experience (mostly in EC and WC,) they drop at about the same rate as CB belts in GFay or CB (I've bonked many an Orc on the head there, too). The quests involving the belts definitely only work with one or the other.

just thought this was funny. i was grouped at one of those awful orc camps in EC. you know, where you see a wizard with a walrus tooth in melee screaming "Heal me! Heal me!" and this guy joined our group. he had a hotkey made saying "Do you guys got any DF belts i can buy?"
and like every 2 kills we got ..

Is the deathfist "slashed" belt the same as the regular deathfist belts dropped?

These belts are found in Eastern Commonlands, from the Orcs (not Orc Pawns) that occasionally wander, but mostly from the orc camps.
At the time of this post, you could buy these from other players for approx 3p per belt.
