regarding the sandals- as a few others have also noticed.....i killed these fellows from level 55 to 61, i killed A LOT of them. after 61, i took a troll warrior friend here and leveled him from 41 to 46. i must have killed well over 1,000 of these guys. i never once saw them drop the sandals! : )

Bruisers were all dark blue to me until I hit level 59 and now half of them are light blue so there must be a level range on these guys--not just level 43. I too have killed hundreds and never seen the sandals or scribbling. Some nice gem drops tho along with the merchant candy weapons.

The sandles be be uber rare because I have never seen them drop and have killed hundreds.
I've killed 200+ of these guys and have never gotten the sandals, I've gotten the sandals off the initiates a few times however.

lots of zraxthril weapons and v few gems drop from these, camped the shrine and bridge for 2 hrs with a good group of lo 50's, decent xp for the lo 50's and we owned them both np.
Up to 5pp per split as well.

Either the level on these is way off or the level on the Broken Skull Initiates is way off. The Initiates all con light blue to me at 60. I don't think they would be light blue if they were level 50 to 52.
The Shrine bruisers are about half dark blue and half light blue. So if the bruisers are level 43 then the Initiates must be around level 41. But I don't see how even level 43 bruisers would be dark blue to me at 60. So I think the levels on both these and the Initiates is off some. I would guess they are both in the 45ish range, but the Initiates are lower than the bruisers because not a single one of them are dark blue to me.

There is an item that the shrine bruisers drop rarely, that is not listed on any site I have seen yet, and sells to vendors for about 100pp. It is called Unholy Scribings, and has no apparent use, but does sell fairly well. If anyone has any more info on this item make sure to post it - it seems to have been overlooked.

no...you dont fall into the lava :)..not going up uneven path towards shrine anyway..i tested it veeeeery cautiously.

if you are able to fear...i used my lvl 56 necro and would put my pet on guard near first turn in tunnel to torigrans zone...then i go pull one with snare...DoT him 2 or 3 times on my way to pet...sic pet on him...by that time he will be well into the tunnel...fear him and he will go down pretty fast....i do this because while feared they run right for all the others spawns and shrine area...doing it this way they are running before they get to the edge of the tunnel so no fear of adds :)and btw...these mobs do not run when low on health....except when feared,they get to a bubble of health when feared they just stp :)...hope this helps

I was hunting these over by the zone to the mines and I was just wondering if it was possible to fall to the lava below? I noticed the path the were standing on was pretty uneven and different surfaces.

Had one drop Unholy Scribings today, first I seen. ANy idea what its for?
These are all Dark Blue to me and I'm lvl 58 don't think they are lvl 40. Maybe lvl 45'ish. They are 6 on the Lava Bridge on a 30 min spawn timer. Reasonable xp but you have to start pulling from the hall over the bridge as well to keep the xp rolling. or you end up on yer bum for a while waiting for next spawn.

First took these on two days ago while our group was exploring LoY zones - at that point the highest character was 40 and they all conned red. Went back last night after he had dinged 41 and they all conned yellow. So all 43.
They are easy to take on at upper 30's to low 40's as they arent resistant and slow easily. Hitting a 40 warrior for up to 115.

They are Light Blue and Dark Blue at 60 which certainly makes them not all 43.

Information decays from our "new post queue" in less than a week. This was missed in 2004 with no new posts since then giving anyone on the admn side of Zam a reason to read the thread since then.
Rarely drop, twice-stiched sandals. They seem to drop randomly from any of the trolls, havnt killed the luggalds so cant say for them.
